Friends are like stars — they light your way to the path of dreams. wrote:

Ember [Male Charizard]Curiosity killed the cat.
Ember is Jakkaru's starter Pokémon and is her long time companion. Though she often switches out her team, Ember always makes it back into her roster eventually. He's naive, curious and playful, and likes sweet food best. He's willing to be friends with anyone and, even as a Charizard, he's liable to act quite immature. He likes to snuff at peoples pockets in hope of finding treats.
—Received in Pallet Town from Professor Oak.

Ability: Solar Power
Move Pool: Air Slash, Dragon Dance, Earthquake, Fire Blast, Flamethrower, Focus Blast, Hidden Power (Grass), Roost, SolarBeam, Sunny Day

Image
Tyl [Male Altaria]Star light, star bright, first star I see tonight.
Jakkaru got Tyl as a Swablu when she was twelve. Her mentor, Katy, gave him to her to test how well Jakkaru could take care of an egg. Tyl is one of Jakkaru's most valuable Pokémon and she uses his False Swipe and Sing combination to catch every new species of Pokémon she can find. He takes his job as Jakkaru's main catcher quite seriously. Tyl often refuses to stay in his Poké Ball and, like Ember, often finds his way into Jakkaru's roster.
—Hatched in Cerulean City.

Ability: Natural Cure
Move Pool: Dragon Claw, Dragon Dance, Earthquake, False Swipe, Heal Bell, Outrage, Perish Song, Roost, Sing, Toxic

Image
Flare [Male Typhlosion]The colors of the rainbow shine so bright...
Jakkaru has had Flare since setting out into Johto, when she dropped her whole team except for Tyl to start catching afresh. She met him as a Cyndaquil, near the base of Tohjo Falls. She assumes that he ran away from Professor Elm's Laboratory to live in the wild, but she's not sure, and Elm would not say. Ember is incredibly patient and calm and never loses his cool in battle or his temper. He has great endurance and can outlast even Tyl in battle.
—Captured in Tohjo Falls.

Ability: Blaze
Move Pool: Earthquake, Eruption, Flamethrower, Focus Blast, Hidden Power (Grass), Rock Slide, Smokescreen, SolarBeam, Substitute, Sunny Day

Image
Moonlight [Male Umbreon]Follow your inner moonlight; don't hide the madness.
Moonlight is devilish little fiend and can get on anyones nerves — and he enjoys it. A lot. Jakkaru met him as a naughty little Eevee in Goldenrod City as she was traveling throughout Johto. She caught him and spent a great deal of time taming him down, though he still retains quite a bit of his impish nature. He evolved to an Umbreon later, around the time Jakkaru was in Cianwood.
—Befriended in Goldenrod City.

Ability: Synchronize
Move Pool: Bite, Faint Attack, Heal Bell, Mean Look, Payback, Protect, Shadow Ball, Taunt, Toxic, Wish

Image
Fiddler [Female Golduck]A fiddler on the roof. Sounds crazy, no?
Jakkaru's Golduck likes to explore and so she fills her position in Jakkaru's team quite nicely. Fiddler, and her companion Piper, are often seen together because they are the two Pokémon Jakkaru uses to traverse tough terrain. Fiddler can be quite a "back talker" when she's upset, though, and certainly knows how to return some sass. She loves to swim and she loves to exercise, helping Jakkaru get around in those aspects.
—Captured on Route 22.

Ability: Cloud Nine
Move Pool: Dive, Rock Climb, Surf, Waterfall, Whirlpool

Image
Piper [Female Tropius]The pied piper enjoyed people enjoying themselves.
Piper was a late addition to Jakkaru's "often" team. She caught this pretty lady in Hoenn, outside Fortree City. Piper is adept at breaking objects in Jakkaru's way with Cut and Rock Smash, and can easily Defog an area for her Trainer. Piper can duke it out with the best of them, being hardy in nature, though she often dozes off when she's not in the heat of battle.
—Captured on Route 119.

Ability: Chlorophyll
Move Pool: Cut, Defog, Fly, Rock Smash, Strength

I'll only advance on the road I believe in. wrote:
Image
Shiloh [Male Scraggy]The greatest test of love is how willing you are to fight for it.
Jakkaru happened across this young Pokémon when she traveled through Castelia City the first time. The girl assumes that Shiloh had a rough time, because the poor little Scraggy was near fainting when she came across him. She hurried the little critter to the Pokémon Center. Ever since then, Shiloh has stuck to Jakkaru like glue. He doesn't fight and he's incredibly shy. He often rides on Jakkaru's shoulder and she is pleased to have a little Pokémon to cuddle, something she hasn't had since Ember and Tyl evolved.
—Befriended in Castelia City.

Ability: Shed Skin
Move Pool: Faint Attack, Headbutt, Low Kick, Sand-Attack, Swagger

You don't understand... I'm so in love with you. wrote:
Image
Cicaca [Female Venusaur]I miss the sound of the cicadas.
Cicada is calm and quiet, preferring the steady course to a straight forward brutal onslaught. She, of the three starters Jakkaru has from Kanto, is the most mature and motherly of them. She can still put up quite the fight when needed, and she prefers the method of subduing the opponent with status effects such as Sleep and Paralysis.
—Captured on Route 6.

Ability: Overgrow
Move Pool: Double-Edge, Growth, Hidden Power (Fire), Razor Leaf, Sleep Powder, Sludge Bomb, SolarBeam, Sweet Scent, Vine Whip

Image
Torrent [Male Blastoise]His brash attitude is a factor.
Brutal and powerful, Torrent is the, strong-arm of Jakkaru's Kanto trio. He is fond of physical battle, or mixing long-range attacks in with a charge on the opponent. He has a tendency to underestimate the competion as well, so sometimes he gets himself into trouble with the foes and gets beaten badly. Nevertheless, he is a tried and true fighter and always puts on the best battle he can manage.
—Captured on Route 24.

Ability: Torrent
Move Pool: Aqua Tail, Bite, Hydro Pump, Iron Defense, Protect, Rapid Spin, Skull Bash, Surf, Water Pulse, Withdraw

Image
Butterball [Male Butterfree]It's buttery, creamy and well made.
Naïve and playful, Butterball was captured by Jakkaru when she was exploring Viridian Forest on a visit back home. Captured as a Metapod, Butterball is lax and doesn't partake much in battles unless Jakkaru absolutely needs it. Rather sleepy sometimes, Butterball often rides on Jakkaru's shoulder when he's out.
—Captured in Viridian Forest.

Ability: Tinted Lens
Move Pool: Bug Buzz, Quiver Dance, Silver Wind, Sleep Powder, Substitute

Image
Whisper [Male Pidgeot]Let your heart guide you. It whispers softly, so listen closely.
Whisper is silent for his breed, being mute. Whisper has a rivalry with Milkweed, and he has ever since Jakkaru captured them both in Viridian Forest. Nevertheless, Whisper is a prime fighter, swift, calm and powerful. He typically pays no heed to Milkweed's nettling of his condition, and he treats Jakkaru like a chick of his own.
—Captured in Viridian Forest.

Ability: Keen Eye
Move Pool: Aerial Ace, Brave Bird, Double-Edge, Hidden Power (Ground), Mirror Move, Quick Attack, Return, Steel Wing, Substitute, Thief

Image
Milkweed [Male Fearow]Some people march to a different drummer.
Fierce and bold, Milkweed is the other side of the rivalry that he shares with Whisper. Both constantly vie for Jakkaru's recognition. He is fond of nettling Whisper over the other bird's muteness, being a bit malicious and mean-spirited as he is.
—Captured in Viridian Forest.

Ability: Sniper
Move Pool: Aerial Ace, Agility, Drill Peck, Drill Run, Faint Attack, Mirror Move, Quick Attack, Return, Steel Wing, U-Turn

Image
Sparky [Male Pikachu]Ignorance is bliss, bliss is total happiness.
Playful and full of cheery, bubbly happiness, Sparky shares a close love of Jakkaru, having been one of her original team around Kanto. He also is fond of Jaxx's Leavanny, finding the other Pokémon to be very unique. He is never seen without a grin on his bubbly little face.
—Captured in Viridian Forest.

Ability: Static
Move Pool: Charm, Encore, Focus Punch, Hidden Power (Grass), Nasty Plot, Reversal, Substitute, Thunder Wave, Thunderbolt, Volt Tackle

Image
Evenstar [Female Ninetales]It is mine to give to whom I will, like my heart.
Regal and serene, Evenstar is the prime example of grace. She never has a hair out of place, and is deadly and beautiful in a fight. She is not fond of battle, but she is also not shy of it. She and Singefur are great partners and both of them have entertained the idea of one day having kits of their own to mother and love. She is devoted to Jakkaru, having been with her since she was a Vulpix.
—Captured on Route 7.

Ability: Drought
Move Pool: Confuse Ray, Energy Ball, Flame Burst, Flame Charge, Grudge, Hypnosis, Inferno, Payback, Roar, Safeguard

Image
Cress [Male Vileplume]Atleast we got cress soup.
Highly quirky, Cress has been with Jakkaru for awhile. He is just as flighty and silly as his Trainer sometimes, and he's known to make games of battles rather than treat them seriously. He is extremely fond of Leafdancer, who will have none of his attentions what-so-ever, no matter what he does to win the lovely Bellossom's heart.
—Captured on Route 5.

Ability: Chlorophyll
Move Pool: Energy Ball, Giga Drain, Grass Knot, Hidden Power (Water), Moonlight, Sleep Powder, Sludge Bomb, Stun Spore, Sweet Scent, Synthesis

Image
Singefur [Male Arcanine]Singe my fur and I'll bite your hand.
Serious and bold are two words to describe Singefur. He is a true warrior, taking every fight as a personal war and battlefield only he can conquer. Sometimes, however, he can get a little bit unsure of himself, and he'll second guess his actions. He is on good terms with Evenstar, and he loves her dearly. He is also highly loyal to Jakkaru, having been with her since he was a Growlithe.
—Captured on Route 7.

Ability: Intimidate
Move Pool: ExtremeSpeed, Flare Blitz, Hidden Power (Grass), Iron Head, Morning Sun, Overheat, Roar, Thunder Fang, Toxic, Will-O-Wisp

Image
Rhyme [Female Hypno]Come on, work with us. A problem shared is a problem halved!
Rhyme is unlike other Hypno in that she is gentle, calm and loving. She was captured by Jakkaru fully evolved, and she often mothers the rest of Jakkaru's younger fighters. She rarely puts others to sleep except for when in battle, and even then, only when Jakkaru asks it of her. She's truly nothing more than an absolute doll.
—Captured on Route 11.

Ability: Insomnia
Move Pool: Protect, Seismic Toss, Thunder Wave, Toxic, Wish

Image
Solace [Female Marowak]Solace, the kindest friend of the weary and broken hearted.
Sadden by the loss of her siblings and mother, Solace was found by Jakkaru when the Cubone was very nearly dead. Seeing Jakkaru as a surrogate mother, Solace is extremely protective of the girl. The Marowak will do anything to defend her Trainer. Jakkaru treats Solace rather like she would a daughter, and she has done her best to protect the creature from all the darkness in the world since day one.
—Captured in the Pokémon Tower.

Ability: Rock Head
Move Pool: Bonemerang, Bone Rush, Ice Beam, Focus Energy, Smack Down, Focus Blast, Dig, Bulldoze, Fling, Bone Club

Image
Tinte [Female Seadra]But, my dear man, reality is only a Rorschach ink-blot, you know.
Tinte was captured as a Horsea after being reeled in on Route 12. The little creature splattered Jakkaru with ink in alarm, causing the girl to laugh. Jakkaru and Tinte then came to the conclusion that they should go partner up, and the Horsea was more than happy to come along with Jakkaru, find the girl a pleasing contrast to meaner trainers. She is good friends with Solace, they are often seen together.
—Captured on Route 12.

Ability: Swift Swim
Move Pool: Brine, Dragon Dance, Draco Meteor, Outrage, Rain Dance, Rest, SmokeScreen, Substitute, Twister, Waterfall

Image
Avro [Male Electabuzz]Pain reaches the heart with electrical speed.
Avro is much like Torrent, if a year or so younger than the Blastoise. He shares almost a brother-like relationship with the Water-type, and Torrent is fond of giving Avro hints or strategy help when it comes to battle. They often train together, and they have something of a playful rivalry between one another, trying to see who can one up the other more often. Avro is also a bit too prideful for his own good.
—Captured in the Power Plant.

Ability: Static
Move Pool: Cross Chop, Fire Punch, Focus Blast, Hidden Power (Ice), Low Kick, Protect, Psychic, Substitute, Thunderbolt, Thunder Punch

Image
Tamarind [Male Tauros]Only strangers eat tamarinds... but, they only eat them once.
Tamarind is hasty beyond helping. Jakkaru has done everything she can to try and calm the brash, young Tauros down, but to no avail at all. Tamarind remains the bull-headed (pun intended) creature he was when he charged Jakkaru down in the Safari Zone. He listens to the girl only because he knows he can find good battles by doing so, but he still runs headfirst into battle nine times out of ten.
—Captured in the Kanto Safari Zone.

Ability: Intimidate
Move Pool: Double-Edge, Earthquake, Fire Blast, Ice Beam, Rain Dance, Rock Climb, Stone Edge, Zen Headbutt, Water Pulse, Work Up

Image
Hyperion [Male Gyarados]The splendor and the symmetry. I cannot see, but darkness.
Jakkaru originally toyed with naming Hyperion, "Rage," but when the creature turned out to be more in control of his senses and the battles he partook in, she decided on Hyperion instead, after the mythological figure. Hyperion is a superb fighter, on par with Jakkaru's Torrent and Blaze, and he's been with her since the beginning. She purchased him in the Pokémon Center outside Mt. Moon, because she felt the man who had him wasn't taking good care of him.
—Purchased from the Magikarp Salesman.

Ability: Moxie
Move Pool: Bounce, Dragon Dance, Dragon Tail, Earthquake, Roar, Stone Edge, Substitute, Taunt, Thunder Wave, Waterfall

Image
Dotty [Ditto]We want people to know that we do more than stripes and polka dots.
Mostly serving out its use for Jakkaru in the Pokémon Daycare, Dotty is the Pokémon Jakkaru uses to help her complete her collection when she needs a multiple of a species of Pokémon. Well known to the Daycare facility in Viridian where Jakkaru does most of her breeding, Dotty is fond of the couple that run said place. Jakkaru has considered giving Dotty to them, but they decline, saying Dotty likes Jakkaru too much.
—Captured in the Pokémon Mansion.

Ability: Limber
Move Pool: Transform

Image
Firefly [Female Jolteon]What is life? It is the flash of a firefly in the night.
Firefly is a jovial little Jolteon, a bit small for her species, and is everything Jakkaru could have asked for in an Electric-type. She is spunky, desperate to prove her worth, and above all things, fast on her feet. Jakkaru happened upon her when she was but an Eevee, being tormented by some bikers on Cycling Road. Beating them and rescuing Firefly, they have been friends since.
—Captured on Route 17.

Ability: Quick Feet
Move Pool: Agility, Baton Pass, Charge Beam, Hidden Power (Ice), Shadow Ball, Substitute, Thunder Fang, Thunder Wave, Thunderbolt, Volt Switch

Image
Midnight [Male Aerodactyl]Come, let's have one other gaudy night. Call to me.
After having dug up a clump of Old Amber from Mt. Moon's depths, Jakkaru finally was able to revive the fossil into Midnight, her Aerodactyl. Midnight is sleek and sure of himself, if a bit too prideful. He is always preening and turning to the best possible angle for viewers, but he can at least do enough to show he's not a total pushover in battle. He has a definite knack for getting under Jakkaru's skin, however.
—Revived on Cinnabar Island.

Ability: Pressure
Move Pool: Aqua Tail, Double-Edge, Earthquake, Fire Fang, Hone Claws, Ice Fang, Roost, Stealth Rock, Stone Edge, Taunt

Image
Shockwave [Male Ampharos]In peace, nothing so becomes a man... as calm stillness.
Modest and humble, Shockwave is a sleepy little Ampharos. He is good friends with Vortex, having been caught around the same time and in the same area as the then Wooper. Being of a humble demeanor, Shockwave doesn't boast about his power in battle, and even yet, also doesn't battle that often. He is known to make good partners with Vortex when Jakkaru does double battle on those rare occasions.
—Captured on Route 32.

Ability: Static
Move Pool: Discharge, Focus Blast, Focus Punch, Hidden Power (Ice), Rain Dance, Reflect, Signal Beam, Substitute, Thunder, Thunderbolt

Image
Leafdancer [Female Bellossom]Dance until the passion overwhelms us.
Both brave and a little vain, Leafdancer has been trained  to be a speedy little powerhouse. She's desperate to prove that, despite being a pretty little thing, she can be a fighter too. She's enamored with making sure she looks good, in battle, though, and Jakkaru is fond of using her in contests for fun and the Bellossom's own personal enjoyment. Cress, Jakkaru's Vileplume, likes her, but she despises him.
—Captured in Ilex Forest.

Ability: Chlorophyll
Move Pool: Hidden Power (Fire), Giga Drain, Leaf Storm, Moonlight, Razor Leaf, Sleep Powder, Sludge Bomb, SolarBeam, Stun Spore, Sunny Day

Image
Vortex [Male Quagsire]The bashful are always aggressive at heart.
Captured at the same time as Shockwave, Vortex spent a good deal of time training with the Electric-type. He is a bit on the bashful and playful end of things. He is shy around newcomers, and, in particular, is shy about his brotherly love for Shockwave, despite their species and gender gap. They typically make a good duo for double battles, and Jakkaru likes using their strategy to her benefit.
—Captured on Route 32.

Ability: Unaware
Move Pool: Curse, Earthquake, Haze, Ice Beam, Rain Dance, Recover, Scald, Surf, Toxic, Waterfall

Image
Magumagu [Male Slugma]Why are men reluctant to become fathers?
Having been attained to help Jakkaru with hatching any eggs she might acquire or breed for, Magumagu takes his job as the youngsters' "father" rather lovingly. He is fond of younger Pokémon, and is to the point that he tries to teach them to the best of his ability. Warm hearted to the brim, he often curls up around the eggs Jakkaru has to keep them well nurtured.
—Captured on Route 18.

Ability: Magma Armor
Move Pool: Earth Power, Flamethrower, Hidden Power (Rock), Toxic, Will-O-Wisp

Image
Wingsong [Male Skarmory]Hail to the Guardian's song.
Serious, rather like Tyl, Windsong is a creature of a different nature. He is regal, wise and superb in battle. He takes special intrust in Jakkaru's quest to find Lugia, whom he sees as a sort of "elder" in the Pokémon world, and he will do whatever it takes to help her reach that goal. The Skarmory has little of the malice of his species, preferring to be swift and thorough rather than rash.
—Befriended in Olivine City.

Ability: Keen Eye
Move Pool: Agility, Air Cutter, Feint, Fury Attack, Night Slash, Peck, Sand-Attack, Spikes, Steel Wing, Swift

Image
Cypress [Male Grovyle]When the cold season comes, the cypress remains evergreen.
Timid and shy, Jakkaru came upon Cypress early in her travels through Hoenn, making him the newest member of her team at the time. Cypress doesn't particularly enjoy battle, but he will try his best to fight for Jakkaru when she asks it of him. The Groovyle also isn't keen on evolving, and Jakkaru sees no need in forcing him into it.
—Captured on Route 101.

Ability: Overgrow
Move Pool: Acrobatics, Focus Blast, Giga Drain, Hidden Power (Fire), Leaf Blade, Leaf Storm, Leech Seed, Substitute, Swords Dance, Synthesis

Image
Zyphe [Male Swellow]There wasn't even a zephyr of wind. It was unbelievable.
Zyphe is very brave, if a little quick to anger because of his short temper. The bird is extremely adept at battle and speed tactics. Not one to be full of himself, Zyphe watches himself in battle to keep himself in line and to keep from messing up. He's only known to foul up when someone irks him beyond the norm.
—Captured on Route 104.

Ability: Guts
Move Pool: Agility, Aerial Ace, Brave Bird, Double Team, Endeavor, Facade, Protect, Quick Attack, Toxic, U-Turn

Image
Static [Male Manectric]Every time we touch, I feel the static.
A calm Manectric that Jakkaru captured north of Slateport, Static enjoys sunbathing and relaxing after a long day of training or travel.  Static is decent at battle, though he could stand to improve a little in the field. As it were, Static is rather taken with Jakkaru's Jolteon, Firefly. He typically fields a rather swift approach in battle.
—Captured on Route 110.

Ability: Lightningrod
Move Pool: Charge Beam, Crunch, Flamethrower, Hidden Power (Grass), Overheat, Substitute, Switcheroo, Thunder Wave, Thunderbolt, Volt Switch

Image
Volcanum [Male Camerupt]Volcano: A mountain with hiccups.
A tough old soul, Jakkaru came across Volcanum during her travels in Hoenn quite by chance. She found the then Numel wandering around the entrance to Fiery Path, supposedly abandoned by its previous trainer. The Camerupt is something of an old-timer and doesn't battle much anymore. When he does, he is a volatile substance, pushing himself to be his best, even in his old age.
—Captured on Route 112.

Ability: Solid Rock
Move Pool: Earth Power, Eruption, Explosion, Fire Blast, Flamethrower, Hidden Power (Ice), Lava Plume, Rock Polish, Rock Slide, Stone Edge

Image
Aquaria [Female Milotic]Water, water, everywhere, and not a drop to drink.
A regal little piece, Aquaria believes herself a work of art. Jakkaru captured the Pokémon as a Feebas and nurtured her inner beauty until she evolved. Now, the Pokémon is one of the few that Jakkaru uses when she participates in contests. Aquaria isn't quite full of herself, but she does have a high opinion on her appearance, taking care of how she acts and looks.
—Captured on Route 119.

Ability: Marvel Scale
Move Pool: Dragon Pulse, Dragon Tail, Haze, Ice Beam, Recover, Rest, Scald, Sleep Talk, Surf, Toxic

Image
Eclipse [Female Absol]During an eclipse, the moon has its place in the sun.
The last Pokémon that Jakkaru used in her team in Hoenn, Eclipse is quiet and thoughtful. She always thinks five steps ahead and two steps back. The silent Pokémon dislikes that many believe her a harbinger of disaster and is adamant to prove that only when the foretelling glow lights her horn does anyone need to worry. She is scared of water.
—Captured on Route 120.

Ability: Super Luck
Move Pool: Calm Mind, Hone Claws, Night Slash, Psycho Cut, Shadow Ball, Sucker Punch, Superpower, Swords Dance, Taunt, Will-O-Wisp

Image
Braise [Male Infernape]All that matters is the beauty of the flame.
One of Jakkaru's shyest Pokémon, Braise was the Pokémon she met when she traveled to Sinnoh for the first time and was greeted by Professor Rowan. braise likes to spend most of his time riding around on Jakkaru's back, even evolved as he is. he is a very adept fighter, so much so that Jakkaru is surprised he is as introverted as he is.
—Received in Sandgem Town from Professor Rowan.

Ability: Blaze
Move Pool: Close Combat, ExtremeSpeed, Fire Punch, Flare Blitz, Grass Knot, Mach Punch, Overheat, Stone Edge, Swords Dance

Image
Kimba [Male Luxray]If the lion was advised by the fox, he would be cunning.
The first Pokémon Jakkaru legitimately captured in Sinnoh, Kimba is very rash and stubborn. He does not play well with others and often spends more time disobeying orders than following. He would be good at fighting if he had the drive to listen to a Trainer. He listened to Jakkaru for about as long as it took her to get her badges and then decided he had had enough.
—Captured on Route 202.

Ability: Intimidate
Move Pool: Crunch, Discharge, Hidden Power (Grass), Ice Fang, Protect, Roar, Superpower, Thunder Wave, Thunderbolt, Toxic

Image
Taggerung [Male Floatzel]Just lie on your back and float.
Naive and highly curious, Taggerung, or Tag, gets along best with Pokémon like Vortex and, surprisingly, Eclipse. He is a charming little fellow and thoroughly enjoys battles in full. Something of a showoff, he likes to try to invent new games or tactics out of battles in hopes of wowing the crowd. Most often, he fails.
—Captured at the Valley Windworks.

Ability: Swift Swim
Move Pool: Aqua Jet, Baton Pass, Bulk Up, Crunch, Hidden Power (Grass), Ice Punch, Rain Dance, Return, Switcheroo, Waterfall

Image
Fuwafuwa [Male Drifblim]But fluffy, just fluffy, with no brains at all.
A very... tired and lax individual. Fuwafuwa met Jakkaru as a Drifloon. Something of a lazy little creature, he is quick to get angry... but not quick to jump up in arms to do anything about it. He'll go so far as to voice his displeasure, but you'd be hard pressed to get him to give a shit beyond that.
—Captured at the Valley Windworks.

Ability: Aftermath
Move Pool: Acrobatics, Calm Mind, Destiny Bond, Hidden Power (Fighting), Rest, Shadow Ball, Stockpile, Substitute, Thunderbolt, Will-O-Wisp

Image
Gigas [Male Garchomp]Unless one power absorb another, it will not become great.
Docile and cunning, Gigas is the powerhouse of Jakkaru's Sinnoh team. In truth, he's the powerhouse out of most of her Pokémon. She likes to use him to wipe out tougher Gym Leaders when she doesn't think anyone else is up to the challenge. Gigas is incredibly loyal to Jakkaru and follows her orders to the letter. He has quite a bit of an appetite, too, and will devour pretty much anything in sight.
—Captured in Wayward Cave.

Ability: Rough Skin
Move Pool: Crunch, Dragon Claw, Earthquake, Fire Blast, Fire Fang, Hyper Beam, Outrage, Stone Edge, Swords Dance, Substitute

Image
Lute [Male Togekiss]All else sings together in unison.
Lute is a Pokémon Jakkaru uses similarly to Fiddler and Piper. Granted, Lute's abilities are more gimmicky, the Pokémon has been with Jakkaru for a long time. Jakkaru hatched Lute way back in her Johto days and never made much use of the critter beyond evolving it to a Togetic. Lute proved his worth later, though, and is a stable in her team when she is first exploring new areas.
—Hatched in Ecruteak City.

Ability: Hustle
Move Pool: Charm, Flash, Headbutt, Metronome, Secret Power

Image
Agni [Female Leafeon]Past the near meadows, over the still stream.
The last of Jakkaru's Sinnoh team, Agni is anything but the delicate little flower she appears to be. While modest and fickle, she is a tried and true fighter. Something of a surprise addition to the team, Jakkaru received her as an egg from the couple that take care of the Day Care in Sinnoh. She hatched the Pokémon easily and added another Eeveelution to her stable of fighters.
—Hatched in Solaceon Town.

Ability: Leaf Guard
Move Pool: Baton Pass, Double-Edge, Leaf Blade, Protect, Quick Attack, Roar, Swords Dance, Synthesis, Wish, Yawn

Image
Yggdrasil [Male Serperior]The desolate is become like the Garden of Eden.
A little bit of a loner, Yggdrasil was one of the first two Pokémon jakkaru met when she ventured into Unova. He and Scorch, her Tepig, were fighting just outside the outskirts of Castelia. She broke up the duo and calmed them down. Stubborn and silent, Yggdrasil spends much of the time training following orders to a T. When not training, he likes to doze.
—Befriended in Castelia City.

Ability: Overgrow
Move Pool: Calm Mind, Coil, Giga Drain, Hidden Power (Fire), Leaf Blade, Leech Seed, Light Screen, Reflect, Substitute, Taunt

Image
Scorch [Male Tepig]It's better to burn out, then to fade away.
Sassy and finicky, Scorch was Jakkaru's longtime companion throughout Unova. With his refusal to evolve, Scorch was often seen riding around on Jakkaru's shoulder, barking at everyone and everything that offended him. Which, to put it shortly consisted of: everything. A small Pokémon with a lot of attitude, he absolutely loves his Trainer and loves to battle.
—Befriended in Castelia City.

Ability: Blaze
Move Pool: Endeavor, Flame Charge, Flare Blitz, Head Smash, Magnitude, Smog, Superpower, Taunt, Toxic, Wild Charge

Image
Duskiness [Female Liepard]From dawn to dusk.
Duski is one of Jakkaru's favorite Pokémon, even if she isn't very good at battles. She likes to use Duski in unison with some of her other Pokémon to balance out the Liepard's weaknesses. The feline is pretty lax, which adds to its poor ability at fighting, but she is incredibly alert to noise, meaning sneak attacks are out when fighting this girl.
—Captured at the Dreamyard.

Ability: Limber
Move Pool: Encore, Grass Knot, Hidden Power (Fighting), Snarl, Thunder Wave

Image
Voltage [Female Zebstrika]The breaker controls 138,000 volts of electricity.
One of Jakkaru's first Unova captures, Voltage is a bit of a live wire. Impish and always ready to play tricks, this vain little Zebstrika will stop at nothing to prove herself on the battle field. She typically bites off more than she can chew, however, and often gets her ass handed to her.
—Captured on Route 3.

Ability: Lightningrod
Move Pool: Charge Beam, Double Kick, Flame Charge, Hidden Power (Grass), Overheat, Quick Attack, Substitute, Thunderbolt, Volt Switch, Wild Charge

Image
Sluice [Female Carracosta]Flow like waters set free from a sluice gate.
A ball of fun, Sluice was the first fossil that Jakkaru dug up in the Unova region. She is always full of life and looking for a thrill. This does not dampen her fighting spirit, though. She can hold her own and dish out quite a bit when the situation calls for it.
—Revived in Nacrene City.

Ability: Solid Rock
Move Pool: Aqua Jet, Earthquake, Hydro Pump, Ice Beam, Rock Slide, Shell Smash, Stone Edge, Surf, Toxic, Waterfall

Image
Pastille [Male Reuniclus]All our recipes, specials, pies and pastries are homemade.
Best friends with Sluice, Pastille is also a fun-loving little guy. Still, as small and cute as he is, as much as he loves his fun, he is an adamant fighter. He never backs down from a challenge, not until he's been beaten black and blue, that is. He happens to love sweet foods and riding on Jakkaru's head.
—Hatched in Driftveil City.

Ability: Magic Guard
Move Pool: Calm Mind, Focus Blast, Psychic, Recover, Shadow Ball

Image
Actaeon [Male Sawsbuck]Lady Fortune is wont to favor the bold.
Bold is one word to describe Actaeon, strong is another. He is perhaps her most brave Pokémon. He, like Pastille, never backs down, but he also will put up a fight that rivals many. He also realizes that there is an appropriate time to go all out and an appropriate time to retreat. To put it shortly, he's tactical in battle.
—Captured on Route 6.

Ability: Chlorophyll
Move Pool: Agility, Baton Pass, Double-Edge, Horn Leech, Jump Kick, Nature Power, Return, Substitute, Swords Dance, Work Up

Image
Halberd [Male Haxorus]I was looking at a man sporting a funny crown and a spear.
Something of a loose canon, Halberd was a Pokémon Jakkaru caught to match Gigas. The Haxorus couldn't hate the Garchomp more, however, and prefers to do his own thing in battle. He's a bit foul-tempered and tricksy. He likes to mess with people when he fights. Jakkaru doesn't use him much anymore, given his predisposition to be a troll.
—Captured in Wayward Cave.

Ability: Mold Breaker
Move Pool: Brick Break, Dragon Claw, Dragon Dance, Dual Chop, Earthquake, Outrage, Swords Dance, Substitute, Taunt

Lutra [Female Mienshao]The sleek and shining creatures of the chase.

—Captured at Dragonspiral Tower.

Ability: Reckless

Tomahawk [Male Braviary]It's something that really gets you hyped up.

—Hatched in Castelia City.

Ability: Hustle
Move Pool: Brave Bird, Crush Claw, Double Team, Protect, Return, Rock Slide, Sky Drop, Steel Wing, Superpower, Toxic

Image
Hydra [Male Hydreigon]HYDRA, n. That which ancients cataloged under many heads.
Brash, rash and full of disobedience. Hydra is a great many things. Mostly, Jakkaru likes to think that the attitudes of all three heads just kinda swirled together into one awful mess. In result, Hydra doesn't listen to orders much anymore and likes to knock heads around when he is pitted out into a battle. He's not the friendliest creature in the bunch...
—Captured in Unova Victory Road.

Ability: Levitate
Move Pool: Dark Pulse, Draco Meteor, Dragon Pulse, Earthquake, Fire Blast, Focus Blast, Outrage, Substitute, Surf, U-Turn

Image
Dustwing [Male Volcarona]The hourglass will turn and you with it, dust of the dust!

—Hatched in Relic Castle.

Ability: Swarm
Move Pool: Bug Buzz, Fiery Dance, Fire Blast, Hidden Power (Ground), Hurricane, Morning Sun, Quiver Dance, Rest, Substitute, Whirlwind

I like what I like and it can't be helped. wrote:Jakkaru by nature wears herself comfortably. Her hair is brunette and is shoulder length — not too short to stab her in the eye constantly and not too long to be a hassle to brush. Her eyes are hazel to brown, dependent on the light. She's a tad on the short side, being five feet, four inches tall. One might notice that her fingernails and hands are dirty almost all the time due to her checking every crevasse for wild Pokémon.

She wears a variation of light purple clothing throughout the years. When she was younger she wore skirts, but at she grew older, she adopted jeans, tunics and boots, or lighter airy clothing for tropical climates. In later years, her mentor would give her a cap from the Veilstone Department Store that Jakkaru is never without. She's also fond of scarves.

Who the hell do you think I am?! wrote:Jakkaru is an over all a carefree person. She's laid back, happy and constantly ready to meet people. She has a determination to get her goals done, however, and she will achieve them at any cost. She can be quite the spitfire if you make her angry though, so don't pick away at her temper. You'll regret it, because she can storm up an argument in an instant.

Jakkaru has an inexhaustible curiosity. She'll probably explore the ends of the world... and nothing is going to stop her. She's not easily scared by much, except for Tentacools and Tentacruels, which she used to run at the sight of until she caught her own and befriended it under her mentor's orders.

One of Jakkaru's flaws is her dream, as oxymoron-ish as it is. She wants to collect every Pokémon known to man, and, because of this, she has too many to make lasting bonds with any set team. She has around forty or so that constantly make it into her team, while the hundred others shes captured simply find home at Oak's Lab or at her her parent's residence in Viridian City.

I dreamed of living alone but fearless. Secret longing to be courageous. wrote:YOUTH___________________________Age 1 ~ 10
Born in Viridian City, Jakkaru was quick to explore the forests surrounding her home. Bug-type Pokémon are some of her favorites as the nature around Viridian thrives with them. By the time she was six, she had scraped knees, fallen out of trees and climbed them once more with the best of the young boys of Viridian City. She longed for the day when she, too, would journey away with her own starter Pokémon and Pallet Town being just to the south was almost torture.

On the day she turned ten, she raced with her father to Pallet Town, eager to accept her first Pokémon. She got Ember by chance and a bit of luck, due to the fact she was late and the fact that Bulbasaur and Squirtle had been picked before she got there. She couldn't have been happier with the little curious Charmander. The two became fast friends, and their journey across Kanto began!

KANTO REGION____________________Age 10 ~ 14
But... it wasn't quite a journey... Jakkaru traveled, but never far. She ventured to Pewter, Cerulean, Vermilion... and then followed Diglett's Cave back home. All the while, she caught every Pokémon she could find, adding to her growing collection. By the time she was eleven, she had traversed the northern half (Pewter, Cerulean, Saffron, Vermilion, Lavender) of Kanto in full, but had always traveled back home, never able to leave it behind. She wanted so badly to become a famous Collector, but she didn't have the heart to travel without human companionship.

Jakkaru met Katy on one of her visits back home. Katy had been passing through Viridian on her way back from a chat with Professor Oak about her research on alternate colored Pokémon. Katy took interest in the young Trainer and they traveled together awhile on an errand of Katy's to Lavender Town. The two became fast friends, despite the age gap between them. Katy made a sort of student out of Jakkaru, being somewhat of a Collector herself, and Jakkaru accepted the knowledge of Katy's capturing hints readily.

After some time together, it came to be that they had to part ways. Katy gifted Jakkaru with three things. A PokéGear so they could stay in contact, a camera so Jakkaru could help Katy by taking pictures of any alternate colored Pokémon she found, and an egg. The egg puzzled the young Trainer, but Katy was already walking away with a laugh, bidding the young girl to take good care of it.

At age thirteen, egg in hand and Ember by her side, she returned to Viridian City once more. Her journey with Katy had helped her greatly, but Jakkaru's mentor had her own agenda and couldn't travel with the budding Collector. Jakkaru decided it would be best to relax at home for awhile to take care of the egg, but she had no idea what journeys lay in store for her.

It was not long after returning home to Viridian that Jakkaru met with Jaxx. The younger Trainer and Jakkaru quickly struck up the idea to travel together (though, at Jaxx's reluctance) and the journey across Kanto began once more. Finally, with a friend to travel with, Jakkaru was able to fully travel the Kanto region with her companion and over come the home sickness that was holding back her dreams.

Along the way, the egg that Katy had gifted the young Trainer hatched into Tyl, a Swablu then. The duo continued their ventures all throughout Kanto and Jakkaru completed her collection of badges from start to finish.

The duo then traveled to the Indigo Plateau. There, after the tournaments had taken place (Jakkaru had been unable to place, though she participated at Jaxx's insistence) the two friends parted ways. Jaxx would return to Kanto, but Jakkaru was too keen on completing her collection to halt her travels. With farewells set (and a new attire of tunic and leggings at Jaxx's bidding) Jakkaru left her companion for the Johto region.

JOHTO REGION____________________Age 14 ~ 15
There in the Johto region, Jakkaru met a new Trainer by the name of Justin. The boy was about her own age, but was just starting his own journey in Johto. Jakkaru encouraged him to gather the wits to get his starter, and together, Justin with his new Totodile, they set out across Johto to collect the region's badges and Pokémon.

Along the way through the region, Justin and Jakkaru grew to be close friends and both of the Trainers helped once another with fears and woes along the way; it was Justin who coached Jakkaru on from the sidelines when Katy reprimanded her about her fear of Tentacools and Tentacruels, and then she caught her very own duo for her collection. While in Johto, the duo also met up with Jaxx once or twice.

There was a time that Jakkaru and Justin ended up taking a break from their travels to handle the issue of Justin's brother having gotten tangled up in Team activities. At this time, Justin's starter, Toto, somewhat came to an agreement with his Trainer, rather than being so fed up with him. This issue with Toto and Justin's brother ended up costing the duo some time, and they eventually got back on track with badge collecting a few months later.

Also in Johto, Jakkaru met with Jaxx in Ecruteak, where they also happened to meet a young girl named Jaydin. Jaxx and Jaydin simply did not get along. Still, Jakkaru has nothing particularly against Jaydin, and they have met more than once. Once Jakkaru had collected all of her badges, she set off to take on the Indigo League once more, though Jakkaru failed to succeed in beating the Champion.

Not hesitating a single bit after she losses, the two set out for Hoenn to explore the island region's wonders.

HOENN REGION____________________Age 15 ~ 16
Jakkaru once again deposited most of her team to start afresh in the new region, and she started her Hoenn team off with Cypress, a shy little Treecko. Slowly, the duo managed their way through Hoenn with few delays, and both of them managed to collect a set of the Hoenn badges. They also happened across Jaxx in Mauville City, though Jakkaru got to see very little of her friend during her Hoenn travels.

Taking on the league again, Jakkaru did not manage to place. Katy did visit while Jakkaru was staying at the League Headquarters in Hoenn, however, and for managing to make it into the semi-finals, Katy gifted her protégé with a black newsboy hat she had purchased in Sinnoh. The hat became Jakkaru's trademark up until it fell apart.

It was then, however, that Justin and Jakkaru split ways. They left on good terms, but the split was necessary because Justin needed to head home to Johto. Jakkaru continued on her collection quest undaunted, however, and headed onward and continued her journey alone.

SEVII ISLANDS___________________Age 16 ~ 17
Leaving Hoenn by boat, Jakkaru set sail for the Sevii Islands. Landing on Quest Island first, the girl took a plunge into the world of archaeology and also happened to meet a man by the name of Grant Smithson. He was a big fanatic about Fossil Pokémon and he gifted Jakkaru with a Skull Fossil, which she later revived into a Cranidos, her first Sinnoh Pokémon.

Jakkaru would spent some time with him, eventually leaving once he set off for the Orange Islands. She also traveled the rest of Sevii, taking a bit of a relaxing vacation on Floe Island and a part-time job of helping the Day Care couple that lived in the town there.

She continued to stay there until eventually she received a ticket from her mentor by mail. A boat passage to the Orange Islands. Bidding the couple farewell, Jakkaru set off once more for the larger archipelago to the south.

ORANGE ISLANDS__________________Age 17 ~ 18
Landing on Hamlin Island and working her way around the islands clock-wise in direction, Jakkaru filled her camera's data many a time while on the Orange chain. Given the odd coloration of many Pokémon there, this was no surprise. It made complete sense to her why Katy would send her a ticket to a place chock full of alternate colored Pokémon.

In the Orange Islands, she finally fulfilled a personal dream of hers and managed to catch a glimpse of the elusive Legendary Pokémon at the Legend Festival: Lugia, her favorite Legendary. She also met up with Jaxx here too, who was visiting just for the event.

When reaching Trovita, Jakkaru had to challenge Rudy four times before she was able to defeat him in his same-type challenge. Spending so much time on Trovita and Mandarin South Islands, Jakkaru did her best to train and become a stronger battler. Finally, on her forth challenge against Rudy, she was able to claim her Spike Shell Badge.

Though she managed to collect the four Orange League badges, though she did not defeat Drake. She traveled to Pummelo Island with every intention to finally win a League. But, even at her defeat, she was not left disappointed. With every failure comes a victory, after all.

Badges once again collected, League once again lost, Jakkaru set out for the next region on her list: Sinnoh.

SINNOH REGION___________________Age 18 ~ 19
In the chilly region, she landed in the port city of Canalave. Testing her luck, Jakkaru failed to defeat Byron and instead traveled to Jubilife. In Jubilife, Jakkaru met up with Jaxx for the umpteenth time, but given that their journeys coincided with each other, they were finally able to team up together. They also happened to meet Demitri.

After Jakkaru challenged Demitri to a battle as to whether or not he could travel with them, the boy ended up winning and accompanying Jakkaru and Jaxx in their travels across Sinnoh.

The trio voyaged across the chilly region, and Jakkaru ended up seeing her first snowfall once they hit the northern-most portion of Sinnoh. After claiming their Badges from Candice, the quartet traveled back south to Canalave. There, Jakkaru managed to defeat Byron finally (after revealing to Jaxx embarrassingly, that she had lost prior) and she claimed her Mine Badge.

Setting off once more, they traveled across Sinnoh to seek out the eighth Badge awaiting them in Sunyshore City. They happened upon Katy in Jubilife on their way through, who mentioned she was taking a Professor slot in a Region known as Pondera. She invited them to come visit her once she got settled and told Jakkaru sternly that she still expected a number of images to be sent to her in her new laboratory.

Headed to Sunyshore, Jakkaru managed to defeat Volkner and claim her Beacon Badges. As they headed towards the beach to set off for the League, Jakkaru paused and shook her head with a smile. She thought it would be better for her to stand down for this League. With hand on hip, Jaxx dragged his friend up to the League of Sinnoh and made her challenge the tourney.

Unsuccessful once more, Jakkaru shrugged it off. It was a no brainer that she wasn't a very good fighter when it didn't concern something easier like a Gym. She then journeyed north to the smaller island of Sinnoh and explored the small, almost tropical place, to its full extent. Finding nothing left to do in Sinnoh, Jakkaru was surprised to receive a letter from Katy asking her to come to Pondera to work as her assistant.

Accepting readily, the girl left Sinnoh behind, splitting with Jaxx (and Demitri) once again. She paid a short visit back home to see her parents and then headed onward to Pondera.

PONDERA REGION__________________Age 19 ~ 21
In Pondera, Jakkaru met up with Katy in Fareview, where the aforementioned woman had taken up being the Professor of the northern island of Pondera, Albero. Once there, Jakkaru was fascinated to learn that Pondera's climate causes alternate coloration similar to how it was in the Orange Islands. Helping Katy with her genetic research, Jakkaru got to travel around Pondera and slowly get to know the inhabitants, residents, Trainers and Gym Leaders alike. She did take the Gym Challenge for Pondera, though she did not attempt the league.

While Jakkaru was assisting Katy, Jaydin happened to pass through Pondera on her own challenge of the Gyms. They ended up giving Jaydin one of the blue-flame and indigo Cyndaquil that are native to Pondera in return for the notorious trouble-maker's help with their studies. During this time, Jakkaru sent a gift to Jaxx, a gem encrusted egg that would eventually hatch into a crystal shelled Lapras, a native to Pondera.

As the time passed, Jakkaru realized what she was missing following sending Jaxx his present... the challenge of battling. After explaining this to Katy, the Professor agreed it would be best for Jakkaru to take some time off from being a lab assistant and hone her skill in battling. She did not, however, leave empty handed. Katy sent Karu along with Jakkaru for two purposes. One, to help Jakkaru get a handle of her battling ability and two, to calm Karu down, given how rowdy the shiny Umbreon could be.

TIME OFF______________Age 21
Back in Johto, she decided it would be best to settle down and live in Johto for awhile. During her stay here, she took on a number of tournaments and rebattled a handful of the Johto Gym Leaders, Falkner among them, many a time. Jakkaru sent Karu back to Katy, having finally come to terms with the shiny Umbreon and having become better acquainted with her battling self and more sure of herself on the field of battle.

She remained in Johto for a while longer. She also traveled to Olivine and the Whirl Islands when the news mentioned the sighting of a Lugia. Staying in the Whirl Islands for a few weeks, Jakkaru managed to befriend a young, adolescent Lugia that was nesting on one of the islands. Once it came time for the Lugia to leave, it was a fond farewell.

UNOVA REGION____________________Age 21 ~ 22
Following her time off in Johto, Jakkaru received another gift from her mentor. Plane tickets to Unova. Ecstatic at the idea of a new region to explore and new Pokémon to find, Jakkaru rushed to the new region. On the plane there, she was reunited with Justin, who was headed to the region to track down some new Bug-type Pokémon. The duo of friends decided right then and  there to make their journey across the region together.

Stepping off the plane in Castelia City, Jakkaru met her first native Unova Pokémon there in the form of Yggrasil and Scorch, a Snivy and a Tepig who were duking it out outside the airport. Inviting the two along with her, saying that she could help them hone their ability, Jakkaru set off with Justin and the two on their adventures across Unova.

Jakkaru worked her way around the Unova Region, quite pleased with her new found ability at battling. She wasn't the best (and she knew she would never be as good about it as others or avid about it like she was about collecting), but she was proud at her improvements over the years.

She managed to win herself all eight Unova Badges and even made it as a finalist in the Unova Conference. In the end, however, she lost in a grueling six-on-six against her opponent. The ending of the battle itself, however, left her pleased. Normally, she would be completely obliterated, but she managed to give her challenger, a boy named Goose Fitzgerald, a run for his money.

Following the tourney, Justin and Jakkaru parted ways once more, with the former heading back to Johto. Pleased with her near win and her collection of Unova Pokémon, Jakkaru headed off to explore Orre, who's League she had heard good news about ever since its inception.

ORRE REGION_____________________Age 22 ~ 23
Getting off ship in Gateon Port, Jakkaru challenged her first Orre Gym Leader, Mickey. A little more than freaked out by his carnival-style house of mirror-y horror Gym, Jakkaru made her way to the top and took him on for her Badge.

Leaving Gateon with her Shard Badge and headed north along the routes, Jakkaru was blessed with another Legendary Pokémon encounter. This time, however, Jakkaru's encounter was with an even rarer type of Legendary. Even if her photograph of the Suicune she had seen in Johto was a mite small, there was no mistaking it. The Suicune of Orre was lighter in color, a pale blue. She followed him to the best of her ability, but he managed to slip away from her before she could capture his photograph.

Disappointed in herself, she did poorly against Tim in Agate Village, barely scraping by. She continued onward, catching bare glimpses of the Suicune every now and then, even as she traveled through and took Vince's and Justy's Badges for her own.

Finally, she took on the Championship. Losing again, which was becoming a habit, Jakkaru left Realgam City to find the Suicune eyeing her down. With a shy smile, she raised her camera in question. He allowed her one picture, before disappearing with a soft smile of his own. His photograph was her real Orre League trophy.

FIORE REGION____________________Age 23
Traveling into the wilderness of a place like Fiore was rather different for Jakkaru, though the Region was always one she had wanted to visit, and she seized the chance to go when the saw how cheap the tickets were when leaving Orre. In Fiore, she did not find many new Pokémon, though she did happen across a few alternate colored critters.

She spent most of her time exploring the ruins up in the northern part of the area, accompanied by an old friend, Grant and his own protégé, Rylee Fitzgerald. She later learned that Rylee was related to the boy who had fought her in Unova. Amazed by the rather small world due to their coincidental meeting, she just shrugged it off and continued to explore the ruins with Grant and Rylee for a number of weeks.

Finally, after leaving northern Fiore and instead traveling back south to Fall City, Jakkaru ventured off again to the unknown.

KALOS REGION____________________Age 23 ~ 24
Text.

HOME AGAIN______________________Age 24
Jakkaru left Fiore swiftly, stopping at port in Pallet Town to make a swift visit back home. Staying for a week with her parents, she was happy to be back home, especially after having spent a number of years away from them. Phone calls just did not do it justice. Bidding them a farewell, she caught another ship in Pallet. The vessel docked at Alto Mare on its way to Goldenrod, and she got the chance to catch a glimpse of the Eon duo while she was there.

Newest photograph in hand, she was glad to be back on route to Johto. Finally, her ship docked in the golden metropolis, and she voyaged back home to Violet City and Justin.

It's a dangerous business... going out your front door. You step onto the road —and if you don't keep your feet— there is no knowing where you might be swept off to. wrote:Jakkaru Korekuta, the self proclaimed Pokémon Collector extraordinaire, was extremely, fully, absolutely pleased with herself. She looked down at the capsule in her hand. It contained a Cyndaquil, the newest addition to her collection, and the very start of her new Johto team.

After spending two years traveling Kanto with her good friend, Jaxx Meola, they had decided to part ways. Jakkaru had wanted to embark in a different direction as them, and as such, she had. No hard feelings, of course. In fact, they had already started contacting each other via PokéGear.

And so, now, she was pleased to have captured her first Pokémon in Johto. A Cyndaquil she had named Flare. Of all of her older Pokémon, the only ones she had kept with her had been Tyl, her Altaria, and Ember, her Charizard. She was... starting afresh... as far as teams were concerned. She would always love her older team members, but there was always room for newer ones.

She crested the hill into New Bark Town, a grin plastered on her face. The wind toyed with her hair as she entered the modest settlement and she tucked it behind her ear absently. She wondered if the routes she had just left were where Professor Elm captured his Cyndaquils to give to new Trainers in Johto. It was a plausible idea...

Jakkaru sighed with delight as she explored the town. This was her entry to Johto... Hmn... She was a long way from home. But no matter! At some point in time, over her years spent with Jaxx, she had come over her homesickness. It had yet to be proven, however, if she could keep from feeling homesick without them around.

That could be remedied though! She'd just make some new traveling companions. Heck. She'd drag 'em along if she could! With that in mind, and with a feral grin on her lips, she headed for the one place there was bound to be fellow Trainers: Professor Elm's Laboratory.
