Latias
Eon Pokémon |
Ability: [ability=levitate] Height: 4' 07" Weight: 88.2lbs / 40.0kg Gender: Female Primary Region: Hoenn Title: The Timid Wanderer Orientation: Lawful Good Pokédex Entry: Latias is highly sensitive to the emotions of people. If it senses any hostility, this Pokémon ruffles the feathers all over its body and cries shrilly to intimidate the foe. It is covered with a glass-like down. The Pokémon enfolds its body with its down and refracts light to alter its appearance. |
Latias is a large bird-like Pokémon with large jet-like wings extending out of her lower back. Latias has a set of forelimbs that extend out and can be tucked inwards to become more streamlined. She has glossy feathers that help with refracting light and resisting wind friction, allowing the Pokémon to be very aerodynamic when flying. On either side of her head feathers extend out into two white crests.
Latias' body is primarily red from the breast down, extending into two frill-like fins at her rear which angle downwards. Latias' rear also extends out into a form of a tail that decreases drag. The front of her head is also red, with a white pentagon pattern at the center. On her chest, she has a blue triangle marking, believed to represent the Pokémon's connection to the legendary Pokémon, Latios.
While in Mega-Form, Latias' forelimbs connect with her wings and extend outwards, giving her more mobility and freedom of flight with her newfound control. The frills in the rear fall lower, and extend out similar to smaller wings, providing more stability. The blue marking also vanishes. However, two white triangle markings appear at the front of the wings' bases. The pentagon pattern on her head also shapes into a triangle. While in mega-form, it looks very similar to the mega-form Latios. The only known way to differentiate between the two is that she has gold colored eyes.

Latias is a rather reserved legendary, avoiding the limelight and tending to let Latios take the lead. While polite and responsive, the Pokémon tends to bring as little attention to herself as she can. She follows the lead of others, and will do so as well as she can. This attitude brought upon her the title of "The Timid Wanderer" being much more hesitant than her male counterpart.
At the same time, the Pokémon has a strong sense of good will, and hopes to act for the good of Pokémon and people alike. While not as headstrong and arguably reckless, instead Latias would prefer to pick her battles. Often being the voice of reason to those she is with when the situation calls for it. However, don't be fooled, as she can be just as formidable a foe should things fall to conflict.

Latias carefully flew along the branches of the trees, focusing in on their targets. She could still strongly sense Latios moving amazingly fast ahead, but she was attempting to pinpoint more subtle creatures. Ahead she could sense the darkspawn minions, quite a lot of them. While weaving around the trees, she sensed for any stragglers. Darkspawn minions that might have strayed from the pack in search of targets in the woods. She soon picked out a couple, and sent note of her engage to Latios. She sped forwards, the light reflecting off of her feathers. As she approached one of the stragglers, she began shedding feathers, accumulating them before using her psychic abilities to force the sharp feathers into the darkspawn minion. One by one she carefully picked out targets and made her way to take them down.
Latios would be dispatching the pack ahead aiming for the town, while Latias made sure any travelers or Pokémon out in the woods would be safe from harm. The image of the treetops and minions darting beneath, that she sensed from Latios confirmed so. She flew over an old fisherman, who might notice nothing more than a brief glare of sunlight dart through the sky. She linked her vision with Latios as she cut into the treeline across the lake before banking, and sending another flurry of down into a darkspawn minion. Focusing on her senses, there didn't seem to be anymore darkspawn in the area, all that was left was the dwindling remains of what they once were seeming melt away into nothingness.
