Mirshko [Female Tomohawk]Ori'buyce, kih'kovid.
A feisty little thing, Sheresh captured Mirshko when she was only a small kitten. The then-Scratchet was exploring Sheresh's camp at the time... and got riled up by the fact that Sheresh was training herself and attempted to show her up. Sheresh then showed the Scratchet a thing or two and delivered a punch to the Pokémon's stomach. The result was an instant knock out. When Mirshko woke up, Sheresh helped the small feline recover. Sheresh took the small kitten in as a Pokémon after that... and the two have been friends ever since. The Pokémon only received its name later, though, after Sheresh adopted Mandalorian culture, and she named the cat "mirshko" which means "courage" in Mando'a.
—Captured in Cimarron Canyon State Park, New Mexico.

Ability: Intimidate
Nature: Brave
Move Pool: Air Slash, Aura Sphere, Baton Pass, Hidden Power (Ice), Hurricane, Rapid Spin, Roost, Substitute, Toxic, Taunt

Image
Tracinya [Female Volcarona]Watch out for things that go too well.
There never was a Pokémon in the world that Sheresh was more pleased to have on her team. Volcarona was previously owned by her father and is an exceedingly well-versed fighter, having been with the Ranger for a long time before coming into Sheresh's possession. Tracinya is something of the powerhouse of Sheresh's team, being one of her strong Pokémon to date and putting her all into every battle and conflict. She named the moth "tracinya" which means "flame" in Mando'a.
—Received in Socorro, New Mexico from James Kurtis.

Ability: Flame Body
Nature: Careful
Move Pool: Bug Buzz, Fiery Dance, Fire Blast, Flamethrower, Fly, Giga Drain, Hidden Power (Ground), Hurricane, Quiver Dance, Roost

Image
Shuk'orok [Male Excadrill]Udesla. Kaysh anibal'ani udesla.
The literal bruiser of Sheresh's team, 'Orok is the most physically dominating Pokémon she owns. That does not speak to his attitude, however; he is nothing but collected and sure of his actions... and there is not a hot headed spark in him. He is fond of relaxing when not on a mission, showing a rather gentle side to smaller and younger Pokémon. She named the Pokémon "shuk'orok" which means "crushgaunt", a kind of powerful gauntlet known for being used to crush skulls in one's hand, in Mando'a.
—Captured in Twist Mountain.

Ability: Mold Breaker
Nature: Gentle
Move Pool: Dig, Earthquake, Iron Head, Rapid Spin, Rock Slide, Shadow Claw, Substitute, Swords Dance, Toxic, X-Scissor

Image
Shonar [Male Gastrodon]Vary your routine. Patterns are traps.
Very steadfast, Shonar is the one Pokémon in Sheresh's team that is literally unabashed by everything he encounters. It's less that he's prepared for everything and more that he is not shocked by any new engagement and takes everything in stride with a level-head. He's quite competent in battle, having been with Sheresh since high school. She named the Pokémon "shonar" which means "waves" or, more literally, it means the "movement of the ocean" in Mando'a.
—Captured on Route 230.

Ability: Storm Drain
Nature: Lax
Move Pool: Clear Smog, Earth Power, Hidden Power (Grass), Ice Beam, Mirror Coat, Recover, Scald, Surf, Toxic, Yawn

Image
Kandosii [Female Malaconda]Always be polite. Especially to your enemies.
Violent and vicious, Kandosii is the Pokémon Sheresh uses when she knows a job requires a bit more... well... violence. Needless to say, Kandosii, being a snake, is incredibly silent and stealthy, making that her prime M.O.  She takes pleasure in ruing other people's say and often has been known to cross that line into the gray area where "good" people aren't supposed to cross. Granted, the snake never claimed to be a good guy. She named the Pokémon "kandosii" which means "ruthless" or "indomitable" in Mando'a.
—Captured in Parc Amazonien de Guyane, French Guiana.

Ability: Infiltrator
Nature: Naughty
Move Pool: Crunch, Glare, Heal Bell, Leaf Blade, Power Whip, Pursuit, Sucker Punch, Taunt, U-Turn, Wrap

Image
Welaara [Male Reuniclus]Imagination is a warrior's most important weapon.
The more tactical and strategic Pokémon on Sheresh's team, Welaara was a late addition to flesh out an already well rounded squad. As such, Welaara is still adjusting to his new comrades. Still, he has proven himself quite the asset, making short work of many of the engagements he has been involved in thus far. She named the Pokémon "welaara" which means "myth" in Mando'a.
—Captured on Route 9.

Ability: Magic Guard
Nature: Modest
Move Pool: Calm Mind, Energy Ball, Focus Blast, Hidden Power (Fire), Psychic, Psyshock, Recover, Shadow Ball, Thunder, Trick Room

Kih [Male Nohface]Copikla bal mirdala, Kih'ika!
Clever and mischievous, Kih is Sheresh's "shoulder pet." He is not at all viable in battle and she focused his utilization purely as a support creature, using him as means to collect objects unnoticed from afar or similar. She is entirely enamored with the bratty thing, loving it like one would a childhood pet. Kih himself is a complete nuisance and does not much care for anyone but Sheresh (and he only tolerates Rav). She named the Pokémon "kih" which means "small" in Mando'a, though she has a tendency to also refer to him "mird", a short way of saying clever, or any variation of Kih'ika or Mird'ika, with "'ika" being a suffix that means little. That basically boils down to Sheresh calling him "small little" sometimes to which he playfully replies, "Noh."
—Befriended in Mt. Mortar.

Ability: Limber
Nature: Impish
Move Pool: Faint Attack, Lick, Oder Sleuth, Scratch, Tail Whip

K'oyacyi! wrote:Standing an average five feet, six inches tall, Sheresh has a moderate build. She is rather stocky, weighing in at one hundred and fifty pounds. Tone and wiry from physical work outs, the only ounces of chub on this woman is her rather round cheeks... of both kinds, much to her chagrin. Granted, anyone who has complimented her ass in derision often finds their face through a wall. She wears her red hair long, despite the hindrance that might cause in combat. She does braid it out of the way, though, with numerous braids starting at the base of her skull and ending above the small of her back.

Sheresh more or less lives in her kit. Even when times do not call for it, she is rarely not seen in, at least, her hardened under suit. When times do call for it, she sports armor of red and black coloration with a matte finish. Formed out lightweight titanium ceramic plating and kevlar weaving, the armor's metal is about as near as real day technology can get to beskar'gam without taking a trip through a non-existent hyperlane.

Various bits of the armor are made out of leather-covered kevlar, specifically the pauldron, while the belt and pouches on it are made out of a thick, sturdy rawhide leather. The under suit itself is also made out of molded kevlar. Sheresh has both  multiple cloak and a cape. The cape she almost never wears, using it solely for formal meetings, primarily because she views capes as a massive tactical disadvantage. The cloaks are made of heavy material woven to keep sand and grit off in more climes and snow in chillier ones. She has many, varied by job and used for camouflage when scouting.

No friends. No enemies. Only allies and adversaries. wrote:As someone in the position of Mand'alor in the Mandalorian "created culture", Sheresh acts just as someone would expect a person in her position to act; level-headed, tactically critical and thoughtful... but with just the perfect amount of spitfire that Mandalorian women are known for. This boils down to Sheresh acting well outside of the stereotype for her age, mid twenties, where most women would be likely settling down after college or in that statistical age group where most women marry.

While Sheresh doesn't have as much experience as her older vode, she has enough to make her a capable mercenary and leader and has a skill set she's been honing from day one. In particular, all through her public school years she participated in ROTC and other leadership and military programs. She spent her summers backpacking and camping at the many wild state parks of New Mexico, spending many a night watching the stars alone. She also spent summers visiting the coast in California and learning how to scuba dive.

As a Mandalorian, she is ruthless when on a job, doing everything in her fibre and being to complete the task at hand as the employer has hired her to do. She dislikes failure and dislikes screwing shit up, so she'll often reprimand people that do. Outside of the job? She is much more easy going and friendly to people of her own culture and generally gives her comrade her utmost attention when they are discussing things with her.

Name: James Kurtis — There is no friendship, no love, like that of the parent for the child.
Age: 50
Gender: Male
Relationship: Father
Trainer Orientation: Lawful Good
Trainer Class: Pokémon Ranger

The previous leader of the Boy Scouts in the family's hometown, James is probably the one to "blame" for Sheresh's obsession with everything outdoors and wilds. He was the one that introduced the girl to camping and wilds and everything girly girls are supposed to not do. While Sheresh was barred from joining the Boy Scouts because of being a girl, James always made a point to invite her along on all their outdoorsing off the record.

Name: Madison Kurtis — Sometimes the heart sees what is invisible to the eye.
Age: 47
Gender: Female
Relationship: Mother
Trainer Orientation: Lawful Good
Trainer Class: Ordinary Lady

While she doesn't quite understand her girls' decisions, and she adamantly continues to call them by their birth names, Madison is nothing if not supportive of her girls. Madison is probably where Sheresh gets her spitfire, as Sheresh has said many a time that Madison would made a right proper Mando because she knows her mother has the right attitude for it. For better or for worse, though, Madison is content being a housewife.

A mercenary never gets distracted by the big picture. He knows it's the little things that count. wrote:Sheresh was born under the name Brianna to two very loving parents. Brianna grew up in small town New Mexico to the sun and wilderness. There is one thing that embodies everything about Brianna's life... and that is her insatiable need to explore and learn new things; her, shall we say, lust or thirst for life. Without it sounding overly hammy, Brianna has been at home with nature from the very beginning, spending most of her time exploring the dried creeks and hills around her hometown. It goes without saying, she is a tomboy to the core, spending much of her time in her youth skateboarding and learning to mountain bike, rather than playing with dolls or cute things. (Which is not to say she doesn't like kittens or cute stuff.)

During her early youth, Brianna spent much of her time with her sister and her father, tagging along on the camping trips that their dad organized for his Boy Scouts troop and also going on their own to the various state parks. Brianna took explicit love in spending many a night alone under nothing but the stars and in nothing but the freshness of air and nature.

Through her middle aged youth, from middle school to high school, she threw herself into as many extracurricular that would fuel her love as possible. ROTC, volunteer service at her local fire department as a supply jockey, working at a number of summer camps and state parks and so on. Towards high school, she took up mountain and rock climbing, scaling her first sheer faced wall when she was sixteen.

Needless to say, Brianna also took a love of popular culture, as well, embracing the "geekdom" of Star Wars wholeheartedly. Without a doubt in 2007, she fell most fully into loving the Republic Commando series, embracing the free-loving all around rough-souls in those books, the Mandalorians. Finding she was not alone in her love, she spent much of her time speaking with fellow 501st cosplayers and was one of the many who  worked on coming up with a good composite for actual beskar  to make armor out of.

She graduated high school in 2006 and thought for a moment about following her sister's footsteps and enlisting in the US Army. In a move that distressed her parents and sister, Brianna disappeared, literally going full native and joining up with a group that functioned as a mercenary group during the Iraq/Afghanistan wars.

At first working as a lowbrow in the group, she proved her worth as an insanely capable scout, often spending weeks beyond the border collecting incredibly valuable recon for her mercenary company. Brianna did not resurface to her family for almost a year, contacting them briefly to let them know she was okay. If her family or her mercenary group thought it strange that Brianna was using a strange language in her speech every now or then, or that she literally had thrown herself into mercenary lifestyle, no one said a word about it... her family because they were just pleased to know she wasn't dead in a ditch, her company because she was one of the best scouts they'd had in years.

Brianna would spend the next couple years working for the group, coincidentally the same group a Rian Gates was a member of, before in 2010 deciding it was time to follow through with a plan that a couple other true-blood Mandalorian fans were looking to go through with, creating the Mandalorian culture. The plan was thrust forward by the fact that the Republic Commando books were brought to a standstill in publication.

As such, the group was formed, one hundred and thirty-two fans came together from across the globe and named themselves Mandalorian, taking the culture as their own. Brianna legally changed her name at this time, as a handful of others did, to a Mandalorian name. She chose Sheresh, based on the Mandalorian word "shereshoy", a uniquely Mandalorian word meaning a lust for life, the enjoyment of each day and the determination to seek and grab every possible experience, as well as surviving to see the next day, hanging onto life and relishing it.

The founding members of the group, of which Sheresh was one and her sister another, decided it would be best to name their Mand'alor as Karen Traviss, the author of the books that brought the culture to light. The author was disinclined to accept, but the founding members of the culture kept their decision intact until such time that a second Mand'alor would be chosen.

It wasn't until roughly three years later that Sheresh found herself in such a position. The why is a difficult matter to explain. Everyone agrees that Sheresh has plenty of experience, having been in mercenary work for the past eight years, nearly, though not as much experience as most. Most agree that she is one of the best "light scouts" they know and one of the best in the culture at current. Most agree that she's fairly knowledgeable and well rounded. Perhaps the best reason most give for her selection is that they believe her smart and wise enough even at her age to not fuck shit up, the way other hot-headed or "Neanderthal" Mandalorian's might. Basically, most people think she was chosen because she, tactically and politically, will guide them well.

Tracking & Scouting: Sheresh is skilled at surviving in the wild and at navigating in the wilderness. She also excels at following trails and tracks left by others. She is knowledgeable at finding and providing shelter for herself out in the wilds, as well as camouflaging a position she might be staking out at. She knows what plants are edible (in many countries, no less) and always carries equipment to aid herself in survival on the road. She contains it all in a light rucksack and her bandolier.

Firearms: Having worked in the mercenary business for almost a decade now, Sheresh knows her way around her guns, especially her favored ones. It goes without saying that she is skilled at employing them when needed. While preferring light or battle rifles, she is also adept at using handguns. Her experience has lead her to use a sniper rifle as well, but she is nowhere near as skilled with it as she is with her FAL. That being said, using a sniper has given her a greater understanding of using her FAL at range, which is useful to her as a scout.

└-Weapon and munitions.

FN FAL OSW: The FAL OSW is a self-loading, semi-automatic assault rifle that deals especially high damage per shot made by Belgian small arms company Fabrique Nationale d'Herstal (FN Herstal). The FAL was predominantly chambered for the 7.62×51mm NATO round, and because of its prevalence and widespread use among the armed forces of many NATO countries during the Cold War it was nicknamed, "the right arm of the Free World." Sheresh uses a OSW model, which is toted as the paratrooper model, and features a folding-stock and a shorter 330mm barrel. Her favored optic is a HAMR Scope, a hybrid optic manufactured by Misriah.

Glock 17: The G17C pistol is part of a large series of pistols from Austrian manufacturer Glock Ges.m.b.H. Chambered in 9mm, this full sized combat pistol features a polymer frame and anti-corrosion surfaces that make it incredibly reliable. The G17C is incredibly popular with both Police and Military units worldwide. This G17C has been equipped with an integral Laser Sight that makes unaimed fire more accurate.

Remington MSR: The Modular Sniper Rifle, or MSR, is a bolt-action sniper rifle recently developed and produced by Remington Arms for the United States Army. The Remington MSR is a manually operated bolt action weapon with a rotary locking bolt. Lightweight and small, Sheresh prefers the MSR because of its ease of use in her preferred job setting as a scout. Sheresh uses a adapted for long range HAMR Scope, similar to the optic she uses on her FN FAL, but made for superior long rage weaponry.

ROS 7" Combat Knife: Having purchased one from Seafoam, Sheresh uses the Republic of Seafoam's multi-purpose combat knife that has a 20 centimeters (7.9 in) blade made of high carbon steel, an anti-flash non-reflective titanium carbide coating, an edge coated for corrosion and is rust resistance. It is also balanced enough for throwing. Sheresh keeps this knife in a hidden sheath on her left arm, which is loaded in such a way that the knife and swiftly and silently be brought into her hand.

Armor___________________________________________________
└-Armor, shielding, and wearables.

Mandalorian Combat Armor: Built to visually resemble the armor of Star Wars fame, this armor is intended to provide maximized protection in combat for its wearer. It is 150% more effective at stopping incoming fire than the most advanced current US combat armor, such that wearers have been deemed bulletproof by surviving enemy combatants due to the increased protection affording ample time to eliminate opposing forces. It also functions as MOPP gear, able to seal and filter against CBRN threats. The helmet serves as the control center for most of the suit's abilities. A rangefinder attached to the armored helmet is a common upgrade and can track up to thirty targets, while a battle computer inside the helmet allows the wearer to control the suit's weapons, sensors, and jet pack (if included) through verbal commands. The dark view plate offers a variety of vision modes, including infrared. A pineal eye sensor on the helmet combined with an internal overlay display to provide tracking information within a 360-degree radius. Motion sensors, an encrypted internal comm system, and a broad-band antenna completes the helmet's devices.
