You know... I'm half non-ghost! wrote: Gaki [Male Bisharp] — The warrior doesn't care if he's called a beast or a dog; the main thing is winning.
The Pokémon that Haru has had since she began training under Youki, Gaki is as knowledgeable about sword battle as Haru is. Gaki is stubborn to a fault, but, to balance that flaw, he is skilled. His hardheadedness gets him in to trouble, sometimes, and he can sometimes get in to more than he can handle. Nevertheless, his speed and skill see him through a number of battles. Truth be told, Youki trained Gaki harder than he trained Haru.
—Befriended on Route 11.
Ability: Inner Focus
Nature: Rash
Move Pool: Brick Break, Guillotine, Iron Defense, Iron Head, Night Slash, Stone Edge, Swords Dance, Substitute, Sucker Punch, Thunder Wave
Konpaku [Male Escavalier] — With a sword, the people within my sight can at least be protected.
The more defensive of Haru's Pokémon, Konpaku was trained by Youki himself and was the older man's long lasting companion. Youki left Konpaku in Haru's care years ago. The Escavalier is nearly as old as the man who once cared for him and, therefore, is not nearly what he used to be. He can still hold his own in a decent fight, at least, though he's not what most would consider overpowering.
—Received in Black City from Youki Sato.
Ability: Swarm
Nature: Serious
Move Pool: Aerial Ace, Counter, Iron Head, Megahorn, Protect, Pursuit, Rest, Return, Substitute, Swords Dance
A piece of my soul lives on. wrote: Myon [Female Chandelure] — That ghost is part of me, whether you believe it or not.
Haru does not know where Myon came from. No one, except perhaps for Youki, could fully explain the concept. Myon shares half a soul with Haru, just as Haru shares half a soul with the ghost. The Ghost-type does not fight and has proven rather useless at it, given the strange composition of her soul. Myon is much more childish and curious than Haru, exploring nooks and crannies. Sometimes, Myon will engulf her body in flame and float around, looking like a traditional hitodama. The creature is not contained in a Poké Ball and is, by definition of the term, still a wild Pokémon. Haru does not, generally, tell people about the fact that part of her is half phantom.
—Befriended in the Celestial Tower.
Ability: Flash Fire
Nature: Naive
Move Pool: Flamethrower, Pain Split, Shadow Ball, Taunt, Will-O-Wisp
Are you even listening to me? I'm going to cut you down here and you'll meet your end. wrote:For all intents and purposes, Haru looks like a normal girl. She is short of stature, around five feet, five inches tall, with straight cut white hair and bangs that fall to her shoulders. Her eyes are blue-violet and her jawline is rounded and still full of youth. In her hair, she wears a black and white ribbon and bow headband. When she focuses any of her psychic abilities, her eyes glow faint lavender, like Myon's flames.
Attire-wise, she wears a simple white shirt and green vest get up, very similar in style to a serafuku, given that it's tied around her neck with a black bow. Her skirt is plain, lacking all adornment except for small little hitodama swirls on the hemming. Her petticoat is ruffled, while her main skirt is not. She alternates between black stockings with white buckle-ups or white stockings with black buckle-ups.
At her waist are strapped two swords, a tachi and a katana.

I'll send you to hell! wrote:Haru is a simple, strong-willed individual. She is vary careful to train and prepare herself and will take on challenges as they come to her. She is diligent, if a bit silly at times. She applies herself as hard as she can to anything and everything, but it sometimes doesn't pay off or pan out, because she is often foolish.
Compared to the quirky cast of characters that make up Rocket, her personality is very easy to understand. Haru is determined and strong-willed, but when things fall all to shit, it is easy to say she simply turns stupid. She is a very prepared and skilled individual in the fighting forefront, but once she's beaten squarely, she becomes a fool, more or less, and falls apart.
...Unless the protection of Satsuki is concerned. She has vowed to defend the woman with all of her life and skill. She has yet to fail to defend Satsuki, so it remains to be seen if she becomes the fool she typically does at failure.

The man that taught Haru everything she knows about swordsmanship, Youki is a mysterious figure. While he cared for Haru, he has long since left her life. She does not know where he is anymore, only that he bid her to defend Satsuki with her life... and that he will one day return to find her.
Sorry to frighten you. wrote:Haru does not remember much of her past. She only recalls waking up one day, a young girl of four, on the top of the Celestial Tower to the gentle shaking of Youki. A small Chandelure floated above her, white in color and somehow strangely familiar. The creature seemed to be a part of her. Youki would explain that she shares half her soul with the Ghost-type and take the girl under his wing. Only he fully understands what Haru is, a strange half girl, half ghost. He himself shares part of his soul with a Ghost, though he has never told Haru where this Pokémon is.
Youki would take the young girl under his wing, leaving with her to Black City in Unova. There, he would raise her as if she was his own daughter, but also as if she was his apprentice. A master swordsman and crafter, Haru learned everything she knew about swordsmanship from the older man. By the time she was ten, she had nearly mastered Youki's style... before he vanished.
The old man left Haru only a single note and two masterly crafted swords. The note read: "Dearest Haru, my young child apprentice, seek out the woman Satsuki. She is your mistress, I bid you defend her with your life. I will return to find you when you training and guardianship of the itako is complete."
For a year, Haru wandered in search of the itako, Satsuki. Managing to find her on a night that was blacker than the great Darkness itself, she offered her services to the spiritual woman. Since then, for the past six years or so, the white-haired girl has both defended Satsuki with all her life and love while also fine tuning her skill with the blade.

Swordsmanship (Katana): Haru's style is something of an amalgamation of her master's style and her own self-taught style, Hakugyokurou-ryū (白玉楼剣流, lit."Tower of White Jade Sword Style"). Given that her master left before he finished her instruction, he left her with unfinished prowess in his own style. Nevertheless, Haru's own style is very deadly. Mostly, it is based on the speed of one's maneuvers and strikes. That, coupled with Haru's innate ESP, makes her something to be feared when you put a sword in her hands.│

Extrasensory Perception: A type of extrasensory perception, Haru has the ability to sense a strike split seconds before it happens. Youki has evaluated this skill of Haru's. It is the one she has the most ability and skill in and it is the one that she will be able to develop furthest. Given that, it generally takes precedence of any other psychic ability she might ever have the chance to develop in the first place. In short, Haru is more likely to become a master at extrasensory perception (she's already very skilled) than she is to become able to use many (or any) other psychic skills. Her precognition is limited to near-present events, she can not tell the far future.│
Psychic Barrier: A very minor ability of Haru's, she is capable of making dinner plate sized barriers. While these are altogether useless for defending against large attacks, she uses them to fend off projectiles. This, coupled with a strong precognition, make Haru's abilities useful for one key thing: dodging bullets.

Hakugyokurouryu: Fighting with something of a mix of her master's and her own style, Hakugyokurouryu (白玉楼剣流, lit."Tower of White Jade Sword Style"), is a deadly mix of striking where the enemy least expects it and using psychic augments to Haru's advantage. It is not a taught sword style, but rather one that Haru has developed over the time she spent with Master Sato and the time she has been alone to hone her skills.│

Live by the sword. wrote:Weapons_________________________________________________
└-Weapon and munitions.
Roukanken: The tachi, named Roukanken (楼観剣, lit. "Lookout-Tower Sword") is the weapon she fights with more often. Its blade is light green and is masterwork forged. One would be hard pressed to find another splendid weapon quite like Roukanken. When she received it, it was rumored that the blade once felled ten Ghost-types in one blow. While that remains to be seen if it's true, the blade can certainly strike the immaterial beings, having been blessed by Satsuki, the itako, to do so. It can also inherently strike them when Haru focuses her powers, given that her soul is half immaterial itself.
Hakurouken: The shorter sword, the katana, is named Hakurouken (白楼剣, lit. "White Tower Sword"). It, like Roukanken, is a masterwork weapon. Though, it is not as ancient as its longer companion and does not possess the ability to strike the immaterial. Rather, the rumors about this sword state that it can strike through people's confusion. Granted, it can't do that either, but the rumors likely stem from the vertical stripes that make the blade look longer than it actually is when viewed from an enemy looking towards the point. This can cause confusion for enemies. Hence the rumor.
A human that can't die is interesting. wrote:Haru did not move and, to Ganale's credit, it was because of his demand. Granted, she did not lay down her weapon nor drop to the floor. Instead, she stood still. Her focus of her ability was concentrated on detecting when the firing of the round would go off, if at all. But, more so, Satsuki had given her a direct order and she intended to follow it through. It wasn't until Satsuki herself appeared that Haru made an action.
She drew her shorter sword and held it at ready, albeit pointed towards the ground for now. "Mistress, their weaponry does not deter me." In short, Haru was more than confident in her ability to have handled the situation. Still, with the man with the firearm more or less... well... preoccupied with the Itako, Haru took a number of measured steps forward. The path she was taking would lead her near to Zane, but, for all intents and purposes, she did not look like she was even remotely interested in hurting the boy on the ground.
The white haired girl walked to the computer console, stepping lightly over the body of the burned sniper, not minding the smell or the smoldering of the corpse. Myon floated behind her, glowing a faint white. She surveyed the damage. The console itself was most certainly destroyed from the fires. The only way to open the door now would be, well, manually. The girl looked up from the consoles and turned a deadpan gaze to Ganale.
"If it would not be too much trouble. Before you get into a battle with my mistress, may I perhaps borrow some of the explosives you looted?"
