Aggron [Male]: Picked up by his parents during a winter trip to Sinnoh, Aron has been Eirik's partner ever since childhood. Being playful in its youth, and even through evolution into Lairon and somewhat even as Aggron, Aron was fond of curling up into a ball and rolling around and bumping into things. Naturally, as he evolved into Lairon, this started to become a problem, and so he doesn't do it as much anymore. In a fighting situation, Aggron is pure tank, taking blows for comrades and distracting enemies to allow an ally to get flanking attacks in. His hardiness allows him to take hits that would down lesser individuals and keep on dishing out punishment in return. Because of his size and defensive ability, Sonje likes to call him "Armor-chan" after the Armored Titan, a reference that doesn't amuse Aggron.

Standing at 6'2", Eirik greatly stands out among the populace of Japan by dint of simply towering over them, usually by a head or more. His height is offset slightly by having a lean and angular physique, which makes him seem slightly smaller. No less intimidating, though, given the severe expression he often sports. His light brown hair and hazel-brown eyes are indicative of his Norwegian ancestry. Aside from military uniforms, he usually wears dark-colored clothing, often any kind of pants and a tank top with a button-down over it.

Eirik is very much a taciturn individual, showing very little response to external stimuli. He excels at catching and correctly analyzing details, which he credits with keeping him alive. He also expresses a seemingly-endless patience. Most central to his character is his fervant religious beliefs, even if they might be a little off from his upbringing. Unlike many individuals, he does not recognize Arceus explicitly as the creator of the world, instead classifying Arceus as a conduit that God can affect the world through. An oft-quoted aphorism of his is "God helps those who help themselves."

Years before his birth, Eirik's father traveled to Japan on a student visa and met and fell in love with his mother while both were attending Tohoku Gakuin University in the city of Sendai. After graduating from university, the two married and moved north to the city of Misawa, where they assisted the chaplains at nearby Misawa Air Base. A short time later, Eirik was born. Due to his mother being Japanese, he automatically was classified as a Japanese citizen. Growing up, Eirik watched the daily activities at Misawa and became enamored with the military. Originally intent on joining the Air Self-Defense Force, his violent disagreements with roller coasters at area amusement parks led him to believe he should perhaps seek to stay on the ground.

After high school, Eirik moved to Sendai to attend the same university his parents did, earning a two-year degree in religious studies before deciding to join the Self-Defense Forces. Rather than going on to become commissioned, he decided straight enlistment would suit him better, not being the type to give orders and stand back while other people were doing the work. As an infantryman, he spent several years standing around doing exactly what other people told him to do. As time passed and career opportunities arose, Eirik entered airborne training and was reassigned to the First Airborne Brigade. He's passed through both the airborne artillery battalion and the engineer company before moving into the 'Guide Unit' at around the same time that Sonje Hitzig made her way into the special forces brigade. Knowing her history of tempermental conduct and Eirik's endless patience, the older man was assigned as her mentor in an effort to establish a balancing force on her, which has proven effective. He goes along with Sonje's referring to their assignment as the "Scouting Legion" but isn't as gung-ho about it as she is.

Reconnaissance: Perhaps due to Sonje's desire to make them more similar to the Scouting Legion of Shingeki no Kyojin, the squad that he and Sonje are in use motorcycles to get around and perform their scouting with. The benefits of a smaller, lighter, and faster vehicle are unquestionable, but at times he misses the ability to have a crew-served weapon on-hand. Regardless, his ability to use a motorcycle in rough terrain is second only to Sonje, but he has the sense not to fire a weapon from on top of the thing.

Firearms: From his time as an infantryman, Eirik already was trained on almost all non-crew-served weapons in the JGSDF's arsenal. Service in the Airborne Brigade's artillery battalion trained him on the operation of every position of a 120mm mortar, which leaves him reasonably sure he can operate full-scale artillery pieces. His weapon of choice is the FN Minimi light machine gun.

Knives: After being reassigned into the Airborne Brigade, Eirik took up knife-fighting as a hobby and as a potentially life-saving skill, as he knew that the fights the special forces of the Airborne Brigade would be getting into would be of the sort of close-range nature that a knife would be useful in. He's gotten to the level that he can wield a knife in either hand, but any time he's seen using more than two at once is just exhibition practice in his own time.
