Tapu Village Guide

Tapu Village is no longer as much of a village as it is the ruins of one. The village was called the Tapu Village because long ago the Tapu guardians came to protect the village, which was located at the base of the island's mountain, long ago before the village came to ruin, leaving nothing but the name behind... and some ruins of course. Now, a Poké Center and a few trailers and small houses reside in the area, however it is believed the area may spark in popularity due to the new Alola Conference built at the summit of the Island's mountain.

Tapu Village Guide

Post by PokéFiends Wiki » November 21st, 2019, 7:50 pm

Welcome to Tapu Village. Tapu Village is the site of a former village located on Ula'ula Island of the Alola region. It used to be prosperous and home to many attractions, but in the past, the majority of the village was destroyed by the island deity known as Tapu Bulu. As such, it will come as no huge surprise to anyone visiting that Tapu Village is the least populated village in all of Alola. The settlers that have remained either do so out of convenience to themselves or from a lack of choice. Where once humans lived, now wild Pokémon roam instead.

Locations Around Town

Aether House
The Aether House is a location on Ula'ula Island in Alola, located on Route 15. It is the Aether Foundation's largest base on Alola's main islands, with one of its purposes being an orphanage for human children and Pokémon. Its headmaster is an Oranguru. Acerola is among the children who live here. Much like every other facility owned or run by the Aether Foundation, the Aether House features a predominantly white color scheme.

Image Haina Desert
Haina Desert is a location on Ula'ula Island in Alola, located north of Route 13 and south of the Ruins of Abundance. Haina Desert is a maze-like area, with paths that do not always lead where one might expect. The entrance area has two exits aside from the one returning to Route 13: one north and one east. During most of the day, Haina Desert is bathed in harsh sunlight, while during the night a sandstorm blows instead.

Image Route 13
Route 13 is a route on Alola's Ula'ula Island connecting Route 12, Haina Desert, and Tapu Village. A route considered by many to be a place to take a break before taking on Haina Desert, the route features a lush oasis. Despite the small settlement here, and the fact that life thrives, only a small number of Pokémon can be found in the waters here. It is rarely visited by anyone other than travelers and trainers and is considered a respite between two areas difficult to trek.

Route 14 is a route on Alola's Ula'ula Island connecting Tapu Village and Thrifty Megamart. An old route that leads to a trial site, its beach is famous for its unique black sand. Despite this peculiarity, it deters Pokémon from settling here, as the only Pokémon that can be found on this route are all found elsewhere on the islands too.

Route 15 is a route on Alola's Ula'ula Island connecting Route 16 and Tapu Village. It houses the Aether House. A water route that lies on the western coast of Ula'ula Island, people often rely on Pokémon to traverse it. Due to its proximity to the Aether House, Route 15 tends to be one of the busiest routes in Alola and one will rarely find themselves alone there.

Image Ruins of Abundance
The Ruins of Abundance are a location on Ula'ula Island in Alola, located north of the Haina Desert. The Ruins of Abundance are said to be the location of Tapu Bulu, the guardian deity of Ula'ula Island. It is said that life grows here. Though the ruins have literally and metaphorically been lost to the sands of time, the area is still treated with great respect by the local populace, and Tapu Bulu is revered by islanders.

Image Thrifty Megamart
The Thrifty Megamart, also commonly referred to as the Abandoned Site by local populace, is a location on Ula'ula Island in Alola, located north of Route 14. It is the location of the trial of Acerola. The Thrifty Megamart was a supermarket built near Tapu Village. However, the site of the village and the supermarket were grounds held sacred by Tapu Bulu, causing the guardian deity to destroy everything built in the area in a fit of rage. The ruins of the supermarket became overrun by Ghost-type Pokémon, and a new Thrifty Megamart was built to Royal Avenue on Akala Island.
