Celadon City Guide

There is indeed plenty to do in Celadon City, the city of rainbow dreams. Located in central Kanto, it is one of the largest cities in the region, second only to Saffron City. Celadon is home to the Celadon Dept. Store and Celadon University.

Welcome to Celadon City, the city of rainbow dreams. Celadon City is located in central Kanto. It is one of the largest cities in the region, second only to the giant Saffron City in the east. Celadon is home to Erika, the city's Gym Leader and Eusine, the hunter of Suicune. The city has two entrances, one from the east via Route 7, and one from the west via Route 16.

Locations In Town

Café(s)
Celadon city is famous for its many cafés. Why not stop by one and treat yourself to some fine cuisine?

Celadon Condominiums
Next to the city's Pokémon Center is the Celadon Condominiums. This building is the home of the Game Freak development studio.

Celadon Department Store
Celadon's department store is the largest building in the city, as well as the largest shop in Kanto. It is located in the northwest corner of the city. The store has two sliding door entrances and is six stories high, including a roof level. In front of it lies a decorative fountain.

Celadon Game Corner
The southern part of the city caters to travelers and tourists. In addition to a hotel and a restaurant, the Game Corner is a preferred spot. The citizens take pride in the city's beauty and think the casino is bad for their image. There are also rumors that a secret hideout lies nearby to the Game Corner.

Image Celadon Gym
The Celadon Gym is the official Gym of Celadon City. It is based on Grass-type Pokémon. The Gym Leader is Erika. Trainers who defeat her receive the Rainbow Badge. It takes the appearance of a greenhouse and has a Perfume Shop run by Erika nearby.

Celadon Hotel
The hotel, which is located in the southeastern part of the city, is a luxurious building. No Pokémon are allowed inside the building unless they are inside their capsules.

Celadon University
Celadon City has a university, where Nurse Joy studied Pokémon psychology. It is also where Professor Oak used to teach. Erika teaches there on top of her Gym duties. It is a center of education for many in Kanto, and even in the surrounding regions.

Perfume Shop(s)
Attached to the Celadon Gym is a perfume shop, run by Erika herself. There are even others in town.

Image Team Rocket Hideout
The Rocket Hideout is a four-floored underground complex beneath the Game Corner in Celadon City. It is a secret base built used by Team Rocket to facilitate and administer their operations.



Locations Around Town

Cycling Road
Another name for Route 17 (see below). Cycling Road is a north-south route in central Kanto. Only people with Bicycles or Motorcycles are permitted to travel on the road, making the route a favorite hangout for motorcyclists and bicyclists alike.

Image Route 7
Route 7 is an extremely short road that connects Saffron City in the east to Celadon City in the west. The Underground Path on Route 7 travels under Saffron and comes out on Route 8 in the east, just easterly of the easternmost Saffron guardhouse.

Image Route 16, 17 & 18
Route 16 is an east-west route located in central Kanto. The eastern end of the route is at Celadon City. Its western terminus is at the northern tip of Route 17 on Cycling Road. Route 17, also known as Cycling Road, is a north-south route in central Kanto. Only people with bicycles or motorcycles are permitted to travel on the road, making the route a favorite hangout for motorcyclists and bicyclists alike. Route 18 is a short east-west path in central Kanto that serves as the southern end of Cycling Road. The eastern terminus is at the west border of Fuchsia City.

Underground Path 7-8
The Underground Path between Route 7 and Route 8 is located directly underneath Saffron City and terminates just to the east and the west of Saffron City.
