Monkezuma are taller than most humans and far more broad, easily dwarfing their previous evolutions without even trying. They are immensely muscular, especially in their overly-long arms and upper body, though their legs are also fairly strong. Their fur is very thick and dark now, except for the lighter fur of the face, paws, and torso. Monkezuma sports a thick, gold-colored gorget spreading from its neck to over its shoulders, upper back, and upper chest, veiled in an extremely thick mane of coarse hair. Its massive, meaty arms have huge bracers of this same metal growing from its wrists, as well as encapsulating the end of its tail like a huge ancient club. Its elongated fangs are also of this same material. Beyond possessing a high level of strength, Monkezuma are very hard to bring down with conventional attacks, being very defensive.

Etymology: Monkezuma is comprised of monkey and Montezuma.

Gender Differences: None.

Special Abilities: None.

Behavior: Monkezuma are, most of the time, very serious and laid-back creatures. They command their bands with the ease and confidence of a king, delegating tasks as wisely as a military general. In a band, the Monkezuma is the one who leads and makes decisions for all other Simayan and Chimpoca under it, protecting them with its powerful body and greater capacity for understanding changes in the world around them. If they encounter another Monkezuma leading its own band they will often challenge each other to a friendly bout, usually of something minor like arm-wrestling. If this new Monkezuma and its band are trespassing on the first's territory the issue will usually be settled with an understanding where that territory starts and stops with both bands going their own ways peacefully.

Lone Monkezuma searching for Chimpoca and Simayan to create their own bands coming across a band led by a Monkezuma will be warded off with increasingly hostile behavior until it leaves or challenges the reigning Monkezuma for its territory. Already-formed bands do not exchange leadership even if its leader is defeated, following their defeated leader into exile. Monkezuma are, when confronted with other peaceful Pokémon, very jovial - but when confronted by a hostile creature, immediately become protective of their band, giving the opponent a chance to run before thrashing them with their powerful muscles and well-honed combat techniques and leaving them where they fall.

A Monkezuma who takes over land in a human populated area often creates a 'throne', or large semi-permanent nest from which to give orders to its hunters and gatherers to expand its wealth and territory, becoming something like a king. It is believed they learn this behavior from watching human employers. These Monkezuma are strict with their bands, but not nearly as unfair as their unwitting human teachers. These Monkezuma turn their bands into excellent bandits, with Simayan as middle management. Monkezuma setting up near militia or military lands will often mimic officers, their bands becoming almost entirely militant with strict, orderly discipline and clear goal-orientation.

Habitat: Monkezuma, like Simayan and Chimpoca, can also be found in the jungles and forest surrounding the ruins of ancient civilizations. Due to the expansion of modern human business and living areas, they can sometimes be found raiding isolated villages to make homes in abandoned buildings, based on their decisions. If a Monkezuma has no territory to claim, due to being ousted from it with its band, or simply having not inherited it during evolution, its band will travel almost anywhere with its leader to find some new home.

Diet: Monkezuma will eat berries, fish, and insects. Those having taken over a building in a village or small city may find a taste for whatever human food they can steal, creating a wildly different diet due to their dietary adaptability. Monkezuma are also capable of consuming gold, which gives luster to the metal growing from their bodies and helps to repair it.
