Pokédex Entry: Ballottle are a serious pest that is present all year round. They lay their eggs on disease ridden sites such as rubbish dumps.

Ballottle are formed when three Ylf merge together through coincidence or mere accident. The third (or 'main') Ylf becomes much rounder and fatter, and its entire body appears completely ball shaped. It also has a thick grape-colored shade to its body now, rather than the more turquoise color often associated with Ylf. Its wings are clear and jut out from the rear of its back, and spike outwards like the coattails of a gentleman's blazer. They have four small, stubby legs that are the same light-green shade as a normal Ylf. These serve very little purpose for the flying bug, though, as it is very difficult to walk on them.

It has two larger dangling proboscis that actually function more like a human's arms than the proboscis of, say, a Beautifly wherein it is used as a fully functioning feeding, communicating or foraging appendage. Most people often mistake its nose as a proboscis, but the curled area on its face is purely coincidental, and serves no purpose to the creature. It has two red, compound-eyes, that allow it to navigate persistently, even through darkness or terrible weather conditions. It also has a curious third eye, but this is not used for vision, and a lot of researchers debate how it works. It does appear to allow the Ballottle to muster up some form of energy, however. The two Ylf 'passengers' have lost their wings and so are fully reliant on their new Ballottle host, and unlike a Remoraid helping a Mantyke to evolve, or perhaps even Combee accepting a Vespiquen's Attack Order, the Ylf are entirely useless to a Ballottle in both life or combat.

Etymology: Ballottle is a combination of the words ball and bluebottle.

Special Abilities: Despite their infamy for spreading germs and disease, a Ballottle has a third eye that is able to project some form of mystical energy.

Behavior: Ballottle are considered little more than pests by the average person. Various means are used to kill Ballottle, such as aerosols and flypapers, but they lay a hundred and fifty eggs at a time, which develop into the next generation of Ylf within two weeks. They also often regurgitate part of their last meal, which is one of the main ways that germs are transmitted. It also frequently defecates when it feeds and carries germs on its stubby feet.

Habitat: Anywhere there is human habitation, especially where decaying matter is present.

Diet: Ballottle use their proboscis to absorb non-solid sustenance. They can eat a variety of things like stagnant liquids, sugar, mold, and pure, unadulterated shit.
