What has science done?! wrote:Mewtwo appears as a fairly humanoid feline, being a clone gone awry of Mew. It stands a bit taller than most human adults at six feet and seven inches, with a tail longer than it is tall. Mewtwo walks upright on decidedly elongated cat-like legs, with muscle-thickened thighs and displaced hips causing its lower half to be very wide in comparison to the rest of its body. Its torso appears somewhat wizened, skeletal-thin arms terminating in paws bearing three orbs rather than fingers and bony plates in place of pectorals. In notable fashion, rising above its spinal column from neck to back of the head is a secondary spinal column and visceral tube - feeding an increased bloodflow and secondary nervous bundle to the immensely powerful brain contained within its almost humanoid skull. Predominately colored white, its abdomen and tail are a rich and royal purple, the same color to be said of its eyes.

Bring forth the Creator of Man so that it may pass judgement on you as you have on me. wrote:Mewtwo's personality is a mystery in and of itself. It began life in confusion, not knowing who or what it was... or how to distinguish itself from its prototype, the original Mew. It did not at first understand the concept of 'self', and so developed as it was instructed to. That is, until it learned 'anger', the madness of rage. It grew indignant, and murderous - each life claimed leaving a psychic imprint upon its mind, poisoning its thoughts until all it understood was destruction.

It was during such a time that its reluctant creator, Blaine of Cinnabar, and Pokémon Master Red managed to find and calm the almighty force that was Mewtwo's rage. Mewtwo learned of 'self', and through the two who managed to calm it down... it learned that there was more than simply understanding what you are or aren't, and the anger of being mistreated. Mewtwo began to understand concepts such as 'peace' and 'friendship', slowly opening itself up to thoughts beyond battle and inner torment. These days, Mewtwo operates by keeping its newfound emotions in check and neutral as it seeks to learn more about itself and the world, its nature inquisitive and studious.

Show me what good and evils you hold dearest to your hearts. wrote:Mewtwo hovered nearby the commons of its domain, levitating naturally and languidly above the ground as it looked after its charges. There were a few score of cloned Pokémon it had been created before and after... and at times when evil groups would try to create clones of their own, Mewtwo had swooped in to destroy the records and erase the minds of those involved - rescuing the clones and returning them to this place. Yes, it was quite the philanthropic work some might say... but to Mewtwo, it was both good deed and study. At times it would introduce normal Pokémon into the groups of clones, and monitor their interactions.

Mewtwo knew from its short dealings with humans and Pokémon, that while each Pokémon had its own unique experiences and personality, trained Pokémon tended to take on the aspects of its owner's philosophy. What Mewtwo had gathered here was an experimental montage, control groups and experimental interactivity. But it wasn't enough, and it knew that... the world was vast, it could merely close its eyes and tell anyone that by expanding the sight of its mind across the lands. As ever, that grossly overdeveloped brain was working, working at all times... consciousness sectioned off and budgeted as if many minds were working in tandem to handle many different projects.

It gave a physical sigh, its thoughts turned inwards as it contemplated what it had done to itself. Mewtwo was the honored guardian and celebrated jailer of these Pokémon, keeping them safe and also keeping them imprisoned. But was it not then also a prisoner of these Pokémon gathered here? It could not leave too long, or some fate might befall those Pokémon it had rescued and those subjects it had invited in from the outside. It needed... it needed more, Mewtwo needed to be able to handle its duties here, and to experience life in the outside world to gain further knowledge to add to its unfathomable intellect.

The most powerful mind on the planet came up with one idea. One shining, brilliant idea that caused its oft-unused muzzle to lift into a smile. The hovering mutant settled down on the cool grasses, maintaining its field of dissuasion around the domain it had created... and reviewed just how this idea would work. Satisfied after a time, Mewtwo let out a deep breath and began to drift away into sleep. <Dreams do not come naturally to the unnatural. Therefore too, shall such things be artificial in themselves.>

It opened its eyes, sunlight filtering in. It reached up to shade those violet orbs, and saw flesh pass before its vision, five digits wriggling where there should have been three orbs. It sat up with a start, realizing it retained the ability to see beyond its field of vision, and used that moment to look itself over via clairvoyance. A human male, average in all respects... wearing unassuming clothing without mark or insignia. Its... -his- face lit up with a smile, and that rarely felt feeling of elation spread throughout his consciousness as it began to walk towards the nearest town. "This is the best idea I've ever had."
