Cawmodore [Male]
Aranea's primary Pokémon, and a specialist in aerial combat just as she is. As befitting his species, Cawmodore commands a small flock of ten Cawdet that aren't officially owned by Aranea but are still technically considered under her command. In battle, Cawmodore aids her by performing linked strikes with her, often from opposing directions, in order to keep her targets off-balance. He is fiercely proud and refuses to go in his Poké Ball, either alighting on Aranea's shoulder or perching somewhere nearby.
Received from Faucillien Sondraix.

Ability: Volt Absorb
Move Pool: Fly, Giga Impact, Steel Wing, Aerial Ace, Tailwind, Metal Claw, Flash Cannon, Sky Drop, Psych Up, Rain Dance

Altaria [Female]
A fairly recent addition to Aranea's team, Altaria was captured after Aranea reasoned that someone with the epithet 'The Dragoon' should have a Dragon type in her party. But also because she finds the fluffy sky dragon adorable. Like Cawmodore, Altaria is trained to participate in tandem air attacks with Aranea but is better suited to a stand-off tasking where she can affect the enemy from afar. Her humming voice also is a great boost of morale to Aranea and her mercenaries.
Captured on Kalos Route 21.

Ability: Natural Cure
Move Pool: Sing, Disarming Voice, Sky Attack, Dragon Breath, Peck, Natural Gift, Cotton Guard, Moonblast, Mist, Refresh

Ariados [Female]
The etymological origin of Aranea's name was never lost upon her, so she made it her business to capture herself a spider Pokémon. And though Ariados is incapable of participating in the sort of coordinated aerial attacks that Altaria and Cawmodore can, the little sneak spider has her own uses, and she's extremely good at them. Relying on speed and stealth, while foes are distracted by the flashy movements of Aranea and her flying partners, Ariados sneaks about the battlefield enfeebling and poisoning the foe, snaring their movements and leaving them sitting ducks for one of Aranea's diving attacks.
Captured in Unova Dreamyard.

Ability: Insomnia
Move Pool: Fell Stinger, Bug Bite, Cross Poison, Sticky Web, Shadow Sneak, Toxic, Spider Web, Agility, Venom Drench, Absorb

Quittin' time. This girl doesn't work after hours. wrote:Aranea stands at average female height of 5'6", though realistically is often closer to 5'8" or more due to the heels she wears with every outfit. She has shoulder-length ash blonde hair that she typically keeps tied back in several braids with the exception of two forelocks that hang loose in front. Her eyes are grey, though under some lighting conditions they can appear green. She is extremely fit and trim, but despite this does not lack an aesthetically-pleasing body, which she accentuates with many of her outfits.

As befits her status in high society, she has an endless wardrobe, with her attire varying wildly based on the situation she's going into. But when it comes time to put away the politics and do battle with the spear, her attire is always the same: a set of form-hugging leathers and light plate in black and maroon red, with armored spike protrusions on shoulders, wrists, and heels for additional battle options. Protecting her head is a large, slatted helmet with a foot-long spike projecting forward from its top that she is not hesitant to use against her foes; attached to the rear base of this helmet is a long, spiked whip to give her the appearance of a dragon's tail that she will also use liberally. When entering the field, she frequently wears a split cape that trails down from her shoulders that displays the crest of the Sondraix family--a red unicorn's head--but typically will discard this cape once battle commences.

There are two main facets to Aranea's personality. The first is her public face, her socialite appearance that she puts on for crowds. In this, she is every bit the poised lady her family name would imply, a woman of few words whose faint smiles and rare willingness to make appearances makes her something of a media darling, particularly in light of her Olympic spearmanship talents. Her other face is her battle persona, the sassy and caustic battler who is constantly in motion and seems to abhor the sound of silence. In this mode, she unleashes her wit into a near-constant stream of taunts and invective against her opponent. Though she primarily brings this side out against minions of the Darkness, she will speak this way against her opponents in sanctioned battles, often using dialogue that can be interpreted as flirtatious regardless of who she's facing--unless they're underage.

The only child of a wealthy Kalosian family, Aranea has never wanted for anything in her life. She's not spoiled by any means, as her parents raised her to respect others, stressing the ideals of looking out for the downtrodden and defending those who can't defend themselves. This upbringing shaped her life and has recently led to her stepping onto the front lines in the war against the Darkness.

In her teens and young adult years, she took an interest in spears, studying both their historical use and training in what she, at the time, considered to be an idle engagement of the discipline. Soon, however, she turned her attention to the world's stage, and by age 26 became an Olympic medalist in the javelin competitions. This propelled her to stardom, though she didn't let it go to her head, and her celebrity has waned in recent years in comparison to the more universally-popular Pokémon Leagues. Truthfully, to not be in the limelight suits her just fine.

Tragedy, however, befell her family as the war with the Darkness has begun. Present at the Indigo Peace Conference with her parents, the terror of the full-on attack against mankind claimed the life of her mother and permanently crippled her father. With the lives of not only herself but her injured father on the line, she took spear in hand, utilizing the terrain around her to attack the Darkspawn from above and behind. She carved a path to safety for herself and her father, evacuating from the city just as military forces arrived to quell the enemy forces. But she would never forget the memory of watching as her beloved mother was twisted by the Darkness into a foul shell, and that burning drive to fight the mortal foe of mankind led to a windfall in the form of attention from a certain tech supergenius.

Provided with advanced arms and armor by Green, she has since become The Dragoon, a fearsome force of aerial destruction leading a small private military company in the name of defending mankind against the Darkness that howls at the door.

I'm more a do it myself kind of girl. wrote:Martial Abilities______________________________________

Lances: An Olympic-level medalist in the use of spears and javelins, Aranea is no stranger to the more visceral uses of her chosen weapon either.

└-Weapon and munitions.

Stoss Spear: Aranea's spear contains a powerful and on-demand electromagnet, used to control the direction of her Jump attacks, be it soaring skyward or launching herself downwards. The tip projects an infrared beam slightly off-spectrum visible mainly to her ocular HUD, allowing her to accurately aim despite moving faster than a human can process movement. When attacking, the system can be switched into output mode, causing her spearhead to electrocute enemies struck by it.

Armor___________________________________________________
└-Armor, shielding, and wearables.

Dragon Mail: A skin-tight bodysuit fitted for an individual user. The Impeller Suit is made of a latex-like polymer built around thin armored plates. Each plate projects an electromagnetic halo out from it all keyed to the same spectral frequency. If visible, the effect would look something like standing inside of a cylinder. Combined with the plates themselves, doubly-secured to the body with a strong harness, the user experiences less gravitic resistance when  making upward or downward movement, effectively increasing velocity and momentum when jumping or falling. How strong this field is determines how much greater or less the effect is and is controlled by a dial on the inside of the right wrist. This can be combined with an opposing force within the cylinder to create an astoundingly powerful Lorentz Effect.

Dragon Belt: The belt contains a powerful gyro-stabiliser mechanism to keep Aranea properly aligned at all times. Likewise, the belt acts as an electrical storage device for protracted engagements.

Dragon Greaves: Longfall Boots developed by Green, modified by Green for Aranea to test. Acting as normal Longfall Boots, this particular model is thigh-high, containing even more shock-absorbing material and shock-dispersing plates. The soles have contact points to generate electricity and potential kinetic energy when walking/landing which is stored inside each boot equally. The major addition to this new set of boots is an incredibly powerful kickplate, which multiplies force used when jumping. The boots provide energy for the suit and spear and use the stored kinetic energy to provide additional upward thrust.

Technology______________________________________________
└-Poké-tech, electronics, and gadgetry.

Heads-Up Display: Made by Green, same model used by Green. It attaches just at the left or right temple of the user and projects a thin green beam across the nearest eyeball of its wearer. The beam projected is a compressed display, interpreted by the brain as an overlay of what the user sees in real-time. Aranea's is keyed to pick up the targeting laser projected by her spear and keeps track of her target so that she can adjust without being able to see accurately while accelerating towards her opponent.
