PanztankShe's the only one making sense around here.
Ironwood's oldest and most trusted Pokémon, James received Stuank from his parents during his schooling years. The pair remained a team through his years in the Unovan military academy at West Point, and through his years within the US Army. Bold and proud, like many of the others of its race, Ironwood's Panztank bears the markings of his first tank platoon, and kill silhouettes from active battle. Unique among its species, Ironwood has requested development of specialized ammunition that can be used by the Panztank, though these munitions are not used in sanctioned Pokémon battles. (That would be a crime against humanity)
Starter Pokémon.

AsemblockDying is easy, son. Living is harder.
The only other Pokémon Ironwood has, or feels he needs, Asemblock was captured in the aftermath of James' first disastrous campaign during the First Gulf War. While awaiting rescue from Coalition forces, James noticed a small bit of rock moving in a decidedly-unnatural fashion. Anticipating further attack, he sicced his Panztank on it, only to discover that it was a harmless Pokémon. To atone, he took the little critter in and it has since become a potent ally on the field of battle.
Captured in Kuwait desert.

Ability: Tinted Lens

When they look to the seas and see our fleets, our colors, they will feel safe. wrote:Standing at a height of 6'6", James cuts an imposing figure, having a well-built and fit but not overly-muscled body. His hair is black, with some silver and gray areas, while his eyebrows are solid black, and he has blue eyes. He can mainly be seen in his Republic of Seafoam Army uniform, with either the service dress or camouflaged day uniform depending on if he anticipates going into battle. In official situations, he wears a uniform of his own design: a white overcoat, with a gray undercoat, black sweater, a red necktie, and a white glove on his right hand. His suit pants share the same color as his overcoat and are tucked into silver boots accented in gray. Truly, he is the model of a modern major general.

Ironwood is courteous to his allies, far-thinking and tactical, wondering about the future. He has a jovial and friendly public persona, primarily when for speaking to civilians in public venues, but hints of this also carry over when dealing with the forces under his command. He has a solid rapport with the troops, capable of speaking with them on a level they're comfortable with while also being able to maintain a level-headedness in battle. He believes that while it is acceptable to spend the lives of his men in battle for a cause, it is unconscionable to senselessly waste them for nothing or for personal glory.

Born to a family of prominent military significance dating back to the earliest days of the American Revolution, James Ironwood's life path was all but laid out for him from the moment of his birth. He did not have the standard childhood of a Pokémon Trainer, instead being raised in a household of discipline and honor, preparing to join his family legacy of esteemed service. Toward the end of his primary education at Beacon Academy, his parents gifted him a Stuank from the local ones around Mistralton, knowing that he would soon be striking out on his own. He entered into the US Military Academy at West Point, graduating with honors and becoming a commissioned officer in the armored divisions of the US Army.

His first taste of battle came mere weeks after his commissioning, commanding a platoon of tanks in the First Gulf War. Unfortunately, his lack of battle experience became clear as his platoon was overwhelmed and nearly annihilated by a mixed force of Iraqi tanks and Pokémon. Only by Ironwood's own decision to disobey the law of armed conflict and use his own Pokémon—now a Panztank—to counter the assault did he save his crew and one other disabled tank. After being rescued by Coalition forces, Ironwood fully expected to receive a dishonorable discharge for what was, in no uncertain terms, a crime against humanity. At the last minute, however, his commander was called away to a separate meeting that James himself was not privy to, only to return an hour later appearing rather exhausted, with the expected discharge metamorphosing into strict—but comparatively light—disciplinary action.

Molded by this early experience, James' career and rise through the ranks was characterized by an ironclad adherence to discipline, regulations, and moral authority. His detractors considered him unyielding and unimaginative, interested only in victory through overwhelming strength, but never did he allow their opinions to change his motivations: never again would his men find themselves disadvantaged against the enemy, never would one of his men have to face the same dilemma as he had in the Kuwaiti sands. After a sterling, almost twenty-year career in the US Army, it seemed as though James would come full circle, looking toward a posting at West Point to finish out his career.

Then he was scheduled a meeting with a woman who wore clothing of such finery that it appeared to be woven from the very Light itself. Behind closed doors, she told him of a war that was coming and his place in it. The exact details of their conversation remain known only to James and the rainbow-haired woman, but in the following weeks, he made an announcement that nobody expected: He would spearhead the Lateral Transition program, transferring from the United States Army to that of the newly-formed Republic of Seafoam, whereupon he became the right hand man of William Blackmoore, commanding the Armed Forces of the Republic of Seafoam.

Warmind: A small engrammatic device implanted in Ironwood’s forehead just above the right eye, flesh-toned. The technological device itself allows James to mentally command vehicles and machinery attached to his personal network. It was also crafted in such a way as to excellently hold Celeste’s enchantments.
-AURORA RETROFLEX: (Foresight) + (Lucky Chant)- The user cannot be instantaneously defeated by any attack that they were not aware of. They will still take damage and the effects of the attack, but they will not receive mortal wounds. “I bear an old name. It cannot be killed.” Passive
-Manifest Destiny: (Court Change) + (Swords Dance)- Manifest Destiny applies the will of the user to overcome any obstacle before them. Ongoing negative effects applied to the user are instead rebounded onto an opponent of the user’s choice. During this activation, the user experiences an extremely heightened combat power for three (3) turns. Cooldown of (5) turns, beginning with activation. Active
-Summon Solar Arms: (Transform) + (Trump Card)- When activated, this ability creates a blazing Light Construct in the user’s hand of choice known as the Golden Gun. The construct can appear as any one-handed weapon as the user wishes, so long as it is capable of projectile attacks. The Golden Gun will last for up to one round after summoning, or three shots - whichever comes first. The fewer shots that remain, the stronger the next attack is. Golden Gun can be summoned around a weapon already-held, applying its effects to the projectiles fired from the weapon. Twice per thread. Active
==Golden Gun: (Pyro Ball) + (Shining Ray)- The Golden Gun can fire up three shots before dissipating, and cannot be disarmed. These bullets deal immense damage, as if firing much larger, denser, more powerful rounds which also happen to be coated in a dense shell of compressed flame. The third and final bullet pierces Protect-based effects and other supernatural projectile-defenses.

Due Process: Due Process is a white revolver with a six-chambered hexagonal cylinder. It has an overall bulky, brick-like shape and possesses characteristics of both a revolver and a semi-automatic pistol, with both a cylinder and a slide. It also has two triggers and an external hammer. Intricate floral designs are etched onto the slide and grips and light fluorescent blue designs are below the barrel and on the cylinder. The barrel has a miniscule camera attached to its underside, so that Ironwood can always know where his gun is pointed in relation to him through the Warmind connection, so that he does not need to be able to physically see or even face a target to strike it accurately. When the second trigger is depressed, an explosive round is fired, instead.
-Magnum Cartridge Libertatum: (Luminous Orb) + (Flame Burst)- When firing the explosive round using the second trigger, the user’s intent can activate this ability, causing the mundane explosive round to become nothing short of a bomb. The sheer concussive and incendiary force can launch enemies away from the blast, which tears apart most light vehicles, infantry, doors, and general Darkspawn. The explosion radiates out to five meters. Active
