A conduit for Yue's Aura skills, Yue often trains her powers against Orbis, given the Pokémon's ability to reflect things back at the user. As a result, Orbis has become an incredible viable combat-capable Pokémon, with his strengths lying primarily on the defensive spectrum. Orbis is a lot like Yue, though, in that he's lazy. He will primarily only train with Yue. It's not surprising at all that he doesn't get along with Yue's Noctowl.

Philosopha [Female Notcowl] — Unus Fulgor Concidens Noctem, in Mea Manu Ens Inimicum Edat! Fulguratio Albicans!
Captured because she decided she needed a more capable offensive fighter, Yue's Noctowl, Philosopha, is nothing if not a champion fighter. Philosopha specializes in special-category moves, which Yue has honed so that the Noctowl uses her skills in the same fashion as Aura moves; her power comes best when channeled from directly within her spirit. Philosopha finds Orbis lazy and does not get along with the Wobbuffet, even sometimes trying to chide Yue for being lazy herself.

Short of statue, Yue is fence post skinny and just as flat in dimension. Her violet hair is pulled aside in two bundled tails on either side of her face, which she binds at the end with colored ribbons. Clothing-wise, she sports skirts and blouses most often, but is also known to dress up in a robe, an attire she feels fits the appearance of someone studying Aura.

The 4th student in Japanese alphabetical order of class 3-A, Yue is considered the cool slacker of the class, a highly intelligent girl yet, at the same time, a horrible student. Her intelligence is shown by her interest in philosophy and her membership in the Library Exploration Club alongside classmates Nodoka Miyazaki, Haruna Saotome and Konoka Konoe. Even though she has never been through the entire library due to its massive size, she does know enough to be a guide for those who choose to go in there, such as guiding Negi and other members of the class.

It is through the club that Yue becomes friends with the club members, usually finding herself helping her shy friend Nodoka gain confidence to do what she wants while at the same time ignoring or putting up with the manipulations of the bespectacled Haruna. Although she is scared of Haruna's tendencies, she does somehow find a way to remain her friend.

However, her own interest in Aura and the supernatural drew her into Negi's group, where she convinced Negi to teach her how to tap the Aura within her. Having no natural knack for Aura herself, it was an uphill battle for Yue to even learn how to harness her Aura skills and is something she is still learning how to master.

Following her graduation from school, she took up working within Mahora City as a kind of detective, outsourcing as far as Rota as well. She investigates anything supernatural, a more common occurrence up in the mountains around Rota and Mahora, given the Tree of Beginning. Yue also continues to hone her Aura skills, training with Negi and her own Wobbuffet.

Learned: Though she hates to study, Yue's ability to research and piece together facts is considerable. She was able to deduce Negi's identity as an Aura user and gather information concerning on the Tree of Beginning. As long as the subject maintains her interest, Yue becomes dedicated to learning all there is to know. While studying Aura, she becomes one of Negi's most dedicated students.

Aura Projection: After discovering Negi's Aura user status, Yue coaxed him to make her into his student on Aura techniques, both for her own defense and to get revenge on the guardian dragon of Library Island. Combining Negi's guidance and the power of Evangeline's resort alongside Yue's own studious nature, she soon mastered the basics.
