Comica [Male Smeargle] — Paint me a dream!
Originally the club mascot of the Manga Research Society, Comica became drawn more and more to Haruna the more her skill at talent was demonstrated. Eventually, the faculty advisor agreed to just allow Haruna to have the Smeargle. Ever since, Comica has been a great asset in helping her produce her manga series, helping her put out superior product at a higher pace than she could on her own. For the most part, Comica is laid back and even a bit sloth in his movements, reserving his speed for when he's working on drawing panels. However, threaten Haruna or her works and he goes a bit ballistic in her defense.

Imperium [Female Piplup] — ...And write me a song!
Given as a gift from her father, Imperium is more a pet than a battler, but she's still young yet. Like Comica, Imperium tries to help Haruna produce her manga, but is a bit clumsy and more often than not goes around knocking over her supplies and making messes. Despite this, Haruna finds her clumsiness cute and would never think of sending the adorable little Pokémon away while she's working.

An average girl of height and appearance, Haruna has dark green hair and green eyes. Her glasses are fairly standard. As far as her hair goes, she styles it long, rarely putting it up in an up-do, but she does have two prominent strands that refuse to lay flat, often bouncing about. For clothing, she prefers cosplay-esque things, mostly trotting about in a frilly dress or cute shirt and pants get up. She is often found in a poofy feathered hat and an apron. She is never seen without her sketchpad and its attached ink well.

The 14th student on the class 3-A roster, she is the local rumor-monger, manga artist, and a frequent companion of Yue Ayase and Nodoka Miyazaki. She goes by the nickname "Haru" (or "Paru" or "Pal"). She occasionally uses illustrations to express ideas or feelings. She draws the Mahō Shōjo  manga series, which is very popular in Mahora City.

Like the other members of the Library Exploration Club (except for Yue), Haruna did well on school tests. If there is a rumor going around, she is usually at the root of it all. It is said that her rumor-spreading abilities are so well developed that she can spread them to the other end of the town in two hours. She is well known as a gossip hound and is really into digging for the newest talk around town.

Initially she was one of the people to drink the sake and become drunk upon the field trip to Kyoto. The next day, she and Yue encouraged Nodoka on her date with Negi Springfield. Although she finds Negi cute, she is more of a supporting character, pushing Nodoka to her limit with Negi. She later fights with the others against Tsukuyomi's Pokémon and pets and does well enough to make a nice side scene.

Having now graduated from Mahora Academy, Haruna is a successful mangaka having published a number of manga series under her penname. She currently resides in Mahora still, where she operates out of for her business. She is still something of a rumor monger, following a number of message boards and gossip columns.

Gossip: Although Haruna appears wild and excitable, she is very cunning and is able to notice many subtle behaviors among her classmates, such as Yue's crush and Natsumi's crush. She is also the first to notice the depth of Anya and Negi's friendship due to the lack of honorifics used between them. Haruna also has a knack for planning ahead. These abilities make Haruna and official "rumor-monger" amongst her friends.
