Misdreavus [Female]Sleep tight.
The main Pokémon used by James, Misdreavus was captured in the Safari Zone during a venture out there in between assignments. The Ghost Pokémon is adept at performing close-in reconnaissance, but is no slouch at combat either. With her moveset, Misdreavus is more suited to stealth assassination of targets rather than direct combat, but this suits James just fine. Though James is often metaphorically referred to as fearless, he is also literally fearless as the emotion of fear is Misdreavus' sustenance. Misdreavus is, like many of her species, inquisitive and a prankster.
—Captured in Johto Safari Zone.

Ability: Levitate
Move Pool: Astonish, Confuse Ray, Hex, Psybeam, Shadow Ball, Will'o Wisp, Destiny Bond, Telekinesis, Perish Song, Echoed Voice

Chatot [Female]I have positive control of the Raven.
Chatot was captured during an excursion in Sinnoh when James was assigned as part of the international special forces raid aimed at taking down Galactic. In his team, Chatot serves as intermediate-range reconnaissance and messenger in the event of overall communications failure. She isn't very suited to combat, preferring to use a substitute, put her foes to sleep, and then escape, in that order. Due to this, Chatot has developed a distaste for battle and has a little bit of a cowardly streak.
—Captured in Route 222, Sinnoh.

Ability: Keen Eye
Move Pool: Sing, Fly, Chatter, Echoed Voice, Roost, Feather Dance, Hyper Voice, Pluck, Substitute, Rain Dance

Image
Drifblim [Male]Enemy QRF approaching from the north.
Drifblim was acquired in the Valley Windworks as a Drifloon after a firefight to expel Team Galactic forces from the area. It started following James around, to the endless amusement of his fellow SOF operators, and so he kept the flying ghost. Drifblim is now a high-altitude spotter, carrying a small infrared camera with a powerful zoom and other such gadgets useful for reconnaissance. He frequently uses Baton Pass to hand these implements off to Chatot, who then delivers them where they're needed. If compromised, Drifblim has developed a rather nasty special combination attack to cause immense damage on enemy forces.
—Captured in Valley Windworks, Sinnoh.

Ability: Aftermath
Move Pool: Ominous Wind, Minimize, Stockpile, Swallow, Spit Up, Shadow Ball, Baton Pass, Substitute, Giga Impact, Explosion

What kind of a psycho wears a skull on his face? wrote:Six foot even and 178 pounds, James' physical shape is typical for most Special Operations Forces operators. He has a tendency to keep his brown hair close to military regulation length, but that's mostly due to personal comfort choice, as SOF generally has more leeway in bending the regs.

In field operations, he tends to equip lightly and favor mobility over stronger defense, wearing lighter-weight and less-durable body armor under his load-bearing equipment. He conceals his face in the field with a balaclava bearing a skull design and military-spec sunglasses specially formatted to reduce the blinding effect of flashbang grenades. For field operations not involving JUGERNAUT armor, his sunglasses are specially modified to support the augmented reality information system and extra vision modes.

That wasn't so hard was it? Now go sit in the corner. wrote:James is sarcastic and foul-mouthed, with little tolerance for fools and a generally-lazy disposition. He's prone to issuing empty threats of startling amounts of violence, but rarely, if ever, carries through.

In combat, he is completely different, a cold and calculating, usually silent, killer who methodically eliminates his enemies with efficiency and usually a morbid quip. On downtime, he typically wants to spend all his time playing video games and be left to his own business. He also hates PT.

We try to honor their deeds even as their faces fade from our memory. wrote:Name: Jane Reilly
Age: 49
Gender: Female
Relationship: Mother

James' mother, who faithfully and tirelessly raised her son after his deadbeat dad peaced out. Fortunately, her own parents as well as her numerous sisters and brother assisted in raising James, ensuring she was never overwhelmed by it. She loves her son unconditionally and always supports his life choices to the best of her ability, even though she worries for him as a proper mother should. She currently works as a registrar at a children's hospital in Pensacola.

Name: Ellis Reilly
Age: Deceased
Gender: Male
Relationship: Grandfather

James' late grandfather, worth noting because of the heavy influence the man has had on his life. Serving as a father figure during his childhood and teenage years, Ellis was a veteran of the US Army, serving several tours in Korea and Vietnam before retiring. His military stories always fascinated the young James, and inspired him to join the military. Tragically, Ellis passed away from poor health before James enlisted.

History is written by the victors. wrote:Born in San Diego, California, James didn't live there long before his deadbeat dad peaced out and wasn't seen since. His mother returned to her parents' home in Pensacola, Florida, where James' grandparents assisted in raising him. Living in a military town, and having a multiple-combat-tour veteran grandfather willing to share stories on demand set him early on the path into the military, his various ideals passing from attack helicopter pilot, to jet fighter pilot, to special forces operator.

After high school, he gave college a go, but soon found that he didn't mesh well, and frequently could barely tolerate, the attitudes around the higher education environment that, in his opinion, were far too liberal for his liking. A short stint at several retail jobs likewise weren't to his tastes, and the unfortunate passing of his ailing grandfather finally cemented that he would follow in his role model's footsteps in the military.

Enlisting in the US Air Force as a Security Forces airman, he served two years in that career field, deploying downrange and getting his first taste of real combat in the frequent attacks by insurgents against US military bases in the CENTCOM region. Eventually, even this became routine to him, and he retrained into special forces as a part of tactical air control party.

The ever-changing nature of special operations forces prevented it from becoming a tedium, and he soon advanced into becoming a combat controller, directing the immense power of the US military upon unsuspecting enemy combatants.

Armalite M16A4: The M16 is the American designation for the AR-15, designed by the Armalite Corporation in 1957. It was first put into service in 1963, becoming the standard U.S. assault rifle by 1969, replacing the M14 rifle. The M16 fires the 5.56x45mm NATO round in normality, but can be modified to fire heavier shot with the addition of a modified buffer tube and action. With its long barrel, can be very accurate at medium to long ranges. The M16 has a rate of fire of around 700-950 rounds per minute, depending on the model. Reilly equips his M16A4 with a heavier barrel, foregrip, and EOTech 512 holographic sight.

Accuracy International L115A3: The L115A3 is a bolt-action sniper rifle created by the British company Accuracy International and fielded by British and German forces. The L115A3 is the origin of the standard AW rifle used for large caliber rounds, such as the .338 Lapua. Reilly's L115A3 is typically equipped with a TARS101 ballistic scope, bipod, straight-pull bolt, and flash suppressor.

Emerson Knives Combat Karambit: Based upon an Indonesian blade design, James uses the karambit as an assassination tool rather than a last-ditch means of self-defense. The 2.6 inch steel blade can fold back into the handle for compact carrying, and can be used to inflict fatal, near-surgical injuries with minimal blood. This can be useful to prevent a blood pool from giving away the kill, or to keep the victim from bleeding all over his uniform in case a bit of a disguise is necessary. It also has utility purposes, like cutting wires and stuff.

Heckler & Koch USP Compact Tactical: The USP45CT Compact Tactical is a .45 caliber handgun developed for U.S. special operations use that combines features of the full-size USP45 Tactical pistol in a smaller, more concealable package. The tactical combat light is integrated, and James keeps a suppressor that he can attach at whim.

Armor___________________________________________________
└-Armor, shielding, and wearables.

HELJUMPR Armor: The Hyper-Enclosed Light Jettison-Utility Multi-Purpose Reactive composite bodysuit armor is made up of several different layers and materials, the inner layer of the black-gray undersuit is made up of Kevlar material to aid in protecting the wearer from small arms fire, the inner layer also contains a heating and cooling system which regulates temperatures to keep the user warm or cool depending on the weather conditions. The heating and cooling system can also match infrared signatures of the current weather as well to allow the wearer to go undetected in hostile locations. The outer layer of the undersuit is coated with a heat resistance material to aid in reducing temperatures. The body suit also doubles as a pressure suit to allow the wearer to perform EVA. The outer shell layer is comprised of titanium and ceramic composite armor plating that covers the chest, shoulders, legs and feet. Typically issued in black with a blue VISR. Given it's name and damn close look to a particular armor from a particular video game, users of it have taken to calling it ODST armor.

R7130 JUGERNAUT: The R7130 Judicious Use Ground Engagement Reactive Nonexplosive All-purpose Urban Terrain tactical heavy assault armor is everything is says on the tin. Developed in the U.S. as their version of the new convention of "power armor," JUGERNAUT armor was specifically designed to be extremely explosive resistant. Taking cue from the armor used by EOD teams, the U.S. developed the armor to provide much of the same protection and then some. While original developments were larger and bulkier and restricted and slowed movement, much like that of an EOD ABS, the newest prototype is lightweight, highly armored (using the same types of Kevlar materials a bomb suit does) and extremely effective. The entire suit is enclosed, allowing the wearer to safely enter unsafe environments and the VISR issued with the suit comes with a standardized filtering breathing apparatus.

RepSpecWar Battle Uniform: Based on the older US military battle dress uniform design, the RepSpecWar uniform is a lightweight, forest or desert-camouflage pattern uniform that uses Velcro attachment points for namestrips, unit insignia, and rank. As previously-stated, James prefers lightweight agility over heavy defense or carrying capacity. Frequently he wears only light tactical Kevlar and load-bearing vests that carry little more than ammunition and his tools of the trade.

Technology______________________________________________
└-Poké-tech, electronics, and gadgetry.

SOFLAM: The AN/PEQ-1 SOFLAM allows designation of enemy vehicles and critical targets for precision strikes using guided ordnance. The SOFLAM is semi-autonomous and will designate targets even when unattended.

T-UGS: A Tactical Unattended Ground Sensor or T-UGS is a deployable motion sensor. It collects seismic, acoustic, radiological, and electro-optic data to track any movement in its range. The T-UGS can track, classify, and identify any target within its range and relay it to across the network in almost real time to a platoon size element of soldiers as an early warning device.

VISR: Standing for Visual Intelligence System, Reconnaissance, VISR is the program loaded into the helmet of both the JUGERNAUT andT-UGS: A Tactical Unattended Ground Sensor or T-UGS is a deployable motion sensor. It collects seismic, acoustic, radiological, and electro-optic data to track any movement in its range. The T-UGS can track, classify, and identify any target within its range and relay it to across the network in almost real time to a platoon size element of soldiers as an early warning device.
ODST armors. The VISR provides tactical data in real time as it is broadcast, and can link into Seafoam infrastructure systems at the local, national, and global network levels, administered on a need or rating basis, allowing the user to store and review up to 610MB of content relevant to the current or all mission objectives. The VISR also provides navigational data, various points of interest in the area, and other important functions. It also includes low-light vision enhancement systems, this raising the brightness of the surrounding area on the user's Heads-Up-Display during night time operations and can also provide friend or foe designation by searching for IFF Transponders on friendly or enemy infantry. Other vision modes include magnetic, back-scatter (x-ray), and augmented reality.[/small]
