Tuatha [Male Vaporeon] — It's summer snow in the deep blue sea.
A gift from Tessa's father when she was four, Tuatha is Tessa's oldest ally and closest friend. The Vaporeon is loving and kind, and in his youth was very brotherly to his sister when Leonard was still around. Something of a replacement brother for Tessa, the creature is very protective of the girl, not letting people he considers threats of bad influences near her. His is typically not fond of suitors either. Aside from that, once you get to know him, Tuatha is very friendly, the kind of calm, loving dog-like creature that people consider the best pets. The Pokémon shares his name with the name of the first ship that Tessa designed.

An enormous blue rage-monster, Diana is is one of Tessa's best fighters. The creature is not unruly or disobedient, but is a highly trained creature of power. Sleek and massive, the Pokémon was not always this way. Tessa captured him on a fishing trip with Borda when she was ten. Then a loving and rather derpy little Magikarp, Tessa spent many long hours training the creature. The result and boon of her efforts is the powerhouse of her team today.

Maui Maui [Male Wailord] — It must be a dream I will never get...
Maui Maui is Tessa's last resort Pokémon. Something of a mistake capture, she caught this Pokémon when she was living in Hoenn during her father's tour there on accident. The Wailmer-then was trapped in the shallows of the Slateport shore and unable to escape. Tessa helped the creature and the Wailmer continued to visit the naval base day in and day out until Tessa was allowed to keep him. Now a Wailord, Tessa rarely uses him due to his size, but when he is sent out... he packs quite the wallop.

Celtic [Female Shiny Feraligatr] — Just like my love that's crying for you.
Tessa's newest acquisition, Celtic was received from Professor Elm when she graduated the Naval Academy. The Pokémon is unruly and ill-tempered, but once she finds her nook in the battle, she is well geared to take out the opposition. Tessa uses her quite often in attempt to calm her down, a method that seems to be working. She doesn't dislike her trainer, she just is in that young teenager age that some Pokémon hit and is still trying to work out temper issues.

Twins purchased while Tessa spent a few days in Las Vegas as celebration for her eighteenth birthday, Seastar and Seafoam are pets rather than combatants. Most often spending their day curled up in Tessa's quarters, they are sleepy little turtles most of the time, and rambunctious little devils the rest of the time. Seastar is shier than her brother, often hiding behind Tessa's legs when meeting new people.

Twins purchased while Tessa spent a few days in Las Vegas as celebration for her eighteenth birthday, Seastar and Seafoam are pets rather than combatants. Most often spending their day curled up in Tessa's quarters, they are sleepy little turtles most of the time, and rambunctious little devils the rest of the time. Seafoam is more outgoing than his sister, often riding on Tessa's shoulder when allowed.

Standing roughly five feet and two inches tall (a bare two inches in normal military height requirements), Tessa is a shorty. She sports long silver hair that falls to her mid to lower back when it is down. Most of the time, she pulls this up into a high pony tail or French braid, tying it off with various ribbons or scrunchies, typically blue in color. Her eyes are a faint gray and her face is rounded.

Clothing-wise, she sports the usual dress uniform standard from the Seafoam Navy. When not in uniform (she usually wears her uniform on the Danaan, there are only rare exceptions), she wears various civilian clothes. But, given her tendency to remain on the Danaan all the time, she almost never changes out of her military clothing.

Being Captain of the Tuatha de Danaan, she is very smart when it comes to battlefield tactics and conflicts. She displays very impressive military prowess and strategy. Tessa has some trouble tolerating her job at times due to the position she has; given that she is a young Captain. Tessa is young, and therefore, hasn't lost that optimism that she can make a difference. She is also stubborn and will try her hardest to prove wrong those who tell her she can't do something. Still, most of her crew sees her as weak and frail; someone who never got her hands dirty on the battle field and therefore can't defend herself.

Nevertheless, she cares deeply for those under her command and does her hardest not to show it to be thought less of for it. She treats the people on the Danaan like her family.

Tessa is a big of a dunce in the social field, however. While she is very upfront about what needs to be handle on the Danaan, she is a more or less socially awkward when hanging out with those people she considers her friends. She has a habit of blushing uncontrollably about topics. She is naturally curious about everything new to her, and she displays vast knowledge and intelligence in a great amount of fields. Tessa also has a habit of chewing on her ponytail.

Basically: Genius level Captain in command of a ship you don't want to fuck with on the outside, shy and socially awkward typical girly teenager on the inside.

While Tessa was adored by Maria, the woman held little room in her heart for Leonard, the son she considered a freak by most standards. She passed away trying to trade Leonard's life for her own, something the boy never forgave her for.

Born December 24, 1994 at 10:50 p.m. in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, Teletha Testarossa was the first of two twins born to Carl and Maria Testarossa. Her brother, Leonard, was born a few minutes before her. As a toddler, Leonard and Teletha both showed themselves to be extremely bright for their age. As they grew older, their intellects became more apparent. At age four, Leonard solved Einstein's non-linear differential equations of General Relativity, a full two years ahead of his sister, who did not solve the material until she was six. By age five, the pair were already showing an aptitude for science and mathematics generally reserved for only the best and brightest of scholars.

In her youth, Teletha was quite shy, but often forced herself to stick around her father or mother when they brought people to the house in an attempt to strengthen her relationships and social abilities. Despite that, when not being introduced to family friends, Teletha was quite attached to her brother, spending long hours studying and working with him on various ideas well beyond their years. When the family moved to Hoenn due to Carl's career in the US Navy taking them there, Teletha did not fare as well as Leonard. Being short and shy naturally around many children, she was often bullied by the other kids. She was taken out of Hoenn schools and put into school at the Navy base instead.

Shortly after, the family returned to their home in Portsmouth. Carl sent Maria and the children ahead of himself, but was only a few hours behind. The attack occurred just as he was arriving. A small force of commandos assaulted the home, hoping to kidnap the twins. Carl was the first to perish, but he managed to buy Maria some time to hide herself and the children.

Maria secreted Teletha away, but kept Leonard with her, knowing it was only a matter of time before the commandos caught up to her. When they arrived, she attempted to use him as a bargaining chip: she would hand him over without a fight so long as they let her live. The commandos appeared to go along with the deal at first, but killed Maria as soon as Leonard was in their possession. Leonard flew into a fury and managed to escape and, with the help of Alastor, evaded the commandos until the fire department and police arrived, attracted to the site by reports of gunfire and the mansion having become an inferno. The commandos were forced to retreat.

The following day, Teletha and Leonard were placed in the custody of US Navy Admiral Jerome Borda, a close friend of the family. Leonard, having been twice-betrayed by his mother, began growing even more distant and standoffish. Teletha, shocked by the loss of her parents, grew exceptionally close to Borda, seeking need for paternal comfort. She eventual came to calling the man Uncle Jerry. Tessa was beginning also to show her specialties as well. She began to become extremely knowledgeable in the field of carrier-ship designs and began to design a prototype for the Electromagnetic Camouflage Counter Sensor.

Another two years went by without major incident. At eight years old, however, fate struck again. Admiral Borda had taken Teletha to have her tested, to see precisely what her specialties were. Leonard opted to stay behind. While Tessa and the admiral were away, Amalgam's commandos struck again. When Tessa and Borda returned, Leonard was gone. Despite their best efforts to find him, the trails went cold and even the best of the law enforcement and missing persons personnel could not find any trace of Leonard. Distressed by the loss of her brother, Tessa threw herself into studying to distract herself from it.

The girl was smart beyond her years, graduating high school in New Hampshire at the age of sixteen and then attending the US  Naval Academy in Annapolis at the recommendation and sponsor of Borda (and, of course, with the understanding that no matter how quickly she managed to graduated, she would not see active duty until she reached the legitimate age of eighteen.) So, while she completed the material when she was seventeen, she did not enter the US Navy until her eighteenth birthday. She spent two years in the US Navy switly moving up the ranks.

Shortly after that, Borda was contacted by Blackjack in Seafoam. At Borda's behest, Tessa entered Seafoam as a captain and began work on building the TDD-1, which sailed her maiden voyage at the the opening festival. It is currently stationed at the base Oceanus and makes training runs trees times a week.

Whispered: Tessa's already splendid intelligence is buffered by her Whispered ability. The ability connects her to the remaining fragments of the girl Sofia, a woman who died in the very moments that Tessa was born. Sharing the psychic connection with the woman that her brother does (as well as any other potential Whispered might), she receives information telepathically about specific future fields of technology. The fields of knowledge vary from Whispered to Whispered, but Tessa's specialty is ECCS and carrier designs and systems. She is also able to see a very short distance into the future. This requires great focus on his part, however, and only allows for a limited view. The Whispered also possess the ability to "Resonate" with one another, allowing the thoughts of two or more individuals to meld together. The power comes at a steep price, however, and can result in madness and death if used too much.

The Danaan reeled through the vast emptiness of the ocean. Two vessels trailing her, their weapons glowing with the light of fire and barraging the sleek blue ship. She had been caught off guard by the terrorist group. The surprise of the other vessels meant that the Danaan had taken a bit of a beating before countermeasures had been prepared.

But now? It was only a matter of time until Seafoam would prevail in this small fight.

"They've locked weapons! Structural integrity at 67% and dropping!"

Another voice range out through the bridge. "Incoming frags, starboard and port side!"

"Evasive action, pattern delta! Release chaff!" The woman in the Captain's chair held her expression stern as the Tuatha de Danaan turned abruptly, looping diagonally backwards to avoid the barrage completely as chaff billowed out into sky to intercept the missiles. The Danaan's close-in systems took out any other missiles that avoided the chaff.

"Captain! Incoming transmission from the terrorist vessel!"

The white-haired woman flicked a hand over her data pad and brought up the damage reports. Integrity at 64% and holding. The Captain glanced to the woman who'd spoken and gave a stiff nod. The transmission glowed through, a man on the other end.

"Attention Seafoam vessel, you are ordered to surrender yourselves and your vessel and you will be detained humanely."

Teletha Testarossa lifted her chin and fixed her eyes on the other man. Though she was a full foot shorter than him, she had no fear of this man. She recognized him from relative intel.

"Captain Gerrity," she said coldly, a certain amount of chill in her voice. "We will not surrender. We do not negotiate with terrorists. We will not give into those who justify their causes by the butchery of innocents. We will not yield. We will go down in a blaze of flame, should the need call for it, and no man or woman on this vessel will answer to your pathetic attempts at ceasing our only mission to put down those that would justify a notion of liberty with the act of slaughter!"

Grey eyes staring Gerrity down with a gaze as sharp as glint, she held the man's eyes a split second more. "Lieutenant Howard, end transmission! Prepare to fire all weapons!"

The two ships wove to follow the Danaan, but the ship turned to face them in a bold and risky maneuver, exposing her port-side and then her front. A glow of weaponry, countless missiles and weapons loosed a barrage of ordnance that greatly belied the exterior of the ship. As sleek and fragile as the Tuatha de Danaan looked on the outside, she packed a serious means of defense.

The first cannon round tore through the larger vessel, ripping it in half. The two pieces began to float apart and sink as the vessel failed.

The second round grazed the second vessel, ripping the paneling of the hull right off, as if it had been scalped. Still operational, the second vessel fired another round of missiles. The Danaan shook from the impact, then returned her own barrage. The volley slammed into the other ship and explosions followed the foretold the second vessel's incapacitation.

A silence fell across the bridge and Tessa inhaled shakily. It was the only sign, other than her knuckles being whiter in comparison to her already pale skin, that she displayed worry. But her worry was in the right place, for her greatest concern in every engagement was that of the well being of her own men.

"Ensign Westen, status report."

"Structural integrity at 52% and holding. Damage to port-side engine one is minimal. Twin cannons at 68% and charging, missile and torpedo battery ready to fire again. Minimal loss of CWIS devices. No transmission of any kind from enemy vessels, Captain."

"Commander Mardukus, oversee the investigation and retrieval of any souls still alive on enemy vessels. Order the rescue and safe transport of all enemy infantry with medical attention for those in need of it."

Mardukus nodded and began to issue orders. Still on tense nerves, the bridge remained filled with air that was intently electric. There would be no mistakes. They would be ready for another barrage should it come, as unlikely as it might be.

Tessa watched the progression of the rescue and retrieval squads as their much smaller vessels were send out to collect anyone alive. There would likely not be many, but it was in her nature to make sure. She frowned and shook her head. It was a shame for so many lives to be lost. And that, in truth, was why she was part of Seafoam, for she saw it as a means to preserve life, not end it.
