Eris [Female Espeon]"I looked into your soul and saw the shadows behind your eyes."
Calm, quiet and serious, Eris has been with Parvana since the beginning of her life, in the most literal of senses.  Growing as the girl grew, Eris evolved quite early, attempting often to bring Van out of the tight shell she surrounds herself with.  To call her loyal would be an understatement.  She is Van's closest and only friend. She is also the only Pokémon thus far that Van has claimed for herself.

Crescent [Female Lunatone]"I cometh from the sea of thy soul."
Crescent is a Pokémon that, like Eris, was gifted to Van.  The two have only just begun to become close, but are quickly forming a mutual bond that allows them to work well in tandem.  Crescent and Eris get along well, but that can be expected, as both know the unique situation of their Mistress and work to keep her calm.

You see what I choose to be. wrote: Parvana stands right at a petite 5'2" barefoot.  While it is unknown if she bears any physical resemblance to either her genetic father or mother, it is surmised that her appearance is entirely based on her own perception of herself.  She has rich brown hair that hangs just past the middle of her back, and falls forward to just above her eyes.  Her eyes themselves are a soft shade of stormy gray, and carry a haunted depth to them.  To describe her usual expression as melancholy would not be inaccurate.  Her frame is slender, and her musculature light.  She carries all the strength of one who travels alone, but not the enhanced physique of say, a street brawler.

Her clothing is typical of a teenage female, wearing a variety of outfits and in a variety of styles, but there are several constants.  Such as her well worn black hiking boots.  Her most common outfit is a pair of denim jeans that fit snug to the hips, a dark tank top with a twisted and wilting rose on it, covered by a short pullover vest in a deep turquoise hue.  She wears a pair of thick black-band bracelets that are too large for her wrists and a black-band choker in similar style.  Emblazoned on the front of the choker, burned into the leather is the symbol.

Her style of fashion has begun to vary in recent times, thanks to the influence of Faust, who takes great delight in dressing her up in gothic lolita clothing. Oddly enough, Van doesn't protest, finding the fashion to be quite enjoyable, even if she doesn't have any real specific preference for it. Her outfit as a member of the Elite Four of Seafoam is a mixture of leather and cloth, meant to give her a harder edge than  she actually possesses.

Your minds are all so... small. wrote:Distant is probably the best word one could use to describe Van.  She maintains a distance, both physically, and emotionally from others.  In conversations, she is usually either very abrupt, or very silent, refraining from saying much at all.  Because of the upbringing Van endured, she finds that even the most simple of human interactions are often beyond her capabilities.  Others refer to her as cold, and singular-minded in regards to whatever task she is performing at the time.

On the other side of her personal coin, for those she comes to care about is a deep warmth and intense loyalty, though she still maintains her physical distance.  There isn't much to say about her in regards to her personal thoughts and ideals in reflection of her personality, as she keeps those intensely private and shares them with a select few individuals.  She herself rarely talks about her own views, as she finds that people often enjoy arguing over their beliefs, something she finds to be quite trivial.  Something else that should be noted is that Van's voice is incredibly soft, at most times, barely above a whisper.  It takes something of great consequence to raise her voice.

The one belief she is willing to share is the warning to those who will listen that a great disaster is about to befall the world.  One that will change all that is known, and all that will be, if something is not done.   It is little-known except to those close to her that Van is possessed of the 'sight', and believes the dreams of 'Armageddon' she is having to instead be a vision of a future more bleak and despairing than any she could conceive on her own.

It should also be noted that Parvana rarely speaks vocally to Eris, instead the two sharing their thoughts telepathically.

I am not like you. And there is no one else like me. wrote:A conventional child would be born of two parents, created for one of any of a vast number of reasons.  For love, out of anger, by accident, from a desire to continue one's line.  Unfortunately, none of these reasons apply to the young woman named Parvana.

Almost three years after the failure of the project that spawned MewTwo, the head of the Rocket Organization authorized the beginning of a project called M3.  The purpose of this project would be to apply genetic manipulation, DNA splicing, intensive gene therapy, and a concept considered by some to be so amoral it was beyond conception.  All of it in order to create a perfect hybrid of the original cells from MewTwo, and those of a powerful psychic.  A powerful human psychic.

Because of the means required to create a project of this magnitude, an entire lab facility was dedicated to the M3 project, and dozens of test subjects and varied methods were attempted.  Finally, almost two years after the beginning of the project, a single subject was declared a success.  The tendrils of genetic material meshed, and life began.  A single petite human female.

With the mixed genetics causing increased aging of the cells, it wasn't long before the child was 'born' and began to grow in a more traditional sense.  With the human body unable to keep up entirely with the speed at which the alien metabolism forced the body to grow at, the child spent the first three years of her life heavily medicated to suppress the intense pain as her body struggled to catch up with her.

Finally, in the fourth year, her aging had begun to slow, and while she was physically weak initially, she grew stronger as time went on.  With the aid of Eris, the then Eevee, now Espeon who had kept her company for the three long years she'd suffered the growth of her body, she began to learn.  Absorbing everything she was taught, and letting the gift they'd inevitably created in her brush the mind of others, she began to grow intellectually.

At last, when the physical body and mind were in sync, Van began to realize the truth of the reason behind her creation.  There was no intense battle as she came to grips with her purpose.  While she perhaps held a savageness that had been present in MewTwo, it was tempered by her human mind, and she instead did what she knew would harm them the most.  She simply left, vanishing without a trace.

The human mind is such a simple thing. Simple, yet beautiful. wrote:Regular Abilities______________________________________
└-Skills, professions, knowledge and talents.

Cooking: Van has a great enjoyment of cooking, something that lets her create something unique, and often without heavy interaction with others.  She cooks for the boys at Faust's manor, and indeed, once every few months, visits Sabrina and Chris to make dinner for her... almost family.  She specializes in simple dishes and baking.  She's learning to cook more ornate things, and has a quick mind for recipes, memorizing dozens, if not hundreds of them at a time, though she only has so much time in any given day to practice them.  She creates some colossal failures, as well, including such things as peanut butter squid cakes.

└-Weapon specializations and fighting styles.

Swordsmanship: Thanks in no small part to Faust, Van has learned to utilize one-handed swords to great effect.  She's capable of offense, defense, and complex combat maneuvers.  She can fight with either her left or right hand as the dominant, though she's still learning to utilize dual swords effectively.

Elemental Abilities____________________________________
└-Powers from a Psychic Plate.

Psychic Adept: The holder of a Psychic Plate experiences a different realization of powers and skills upon receiving their Plate, and do not gain elemental abilities in the same fashion as other elemental Plate users. Instead, all psychic styles and attacks that they possess take on the Psychic element. The Psychic Plate also redoubles the user's inborn psychic powers, acting as a buffer. It is for this reason that most of those chosen by Psychic Plates were psychics to begin with.

Unique Abilities_______________________________________
└-Powers unique to the character.

The Living World: This ability works off the basic principle of the thoughts of others constantly drifting around without any active or inherent ability to shield themselves from empathic or telepathic probing.  This allows her to both sense the moods of others, as well as read their surface thoughts.  This power is considered always on and has an indeterminate range - she has not yet found a limit to far how she can read the thoughts of others, or how far the emotions of others reach her from. This can be maddening, and usually manifests for Parvana as a drone of voices, from which she chooses, and sometimes does not choose, voices to specifically listen to, and listen for.

├─Classification: Psychic
├─Category: Empathy, Telepathy
└─Power Level: Inherent

Psychic Impressions: Very much what the name of the power itself describes, Parvana has the inherent and unfortunate ability to touch an individual and is forcibly thrust into their mind, allowing her to see their memories, view their thoughts, and see and probe things otherwise hidden in their deeper subconscious mind.  While this has incredible benefits and abilities to be manipulated for things such as interrogation, Parvana is loath to touch an individual as she feels this to be incredibly invasive to them, and because the ability is physically and mentally draining not just for the individual touched, but for herself as well.  Touching too many individuals in this fashion has the potential to cause a sort of mental overload, as well as a psychic backlash, causing the tenuous control she has over her abilities to temporarily snap and lash out at individuals surrounding her, both physically and mentally.  For this reason, Parvana is usually covered, and rarely has skin to skin contact with anyone, with the exception of a few select people who seem 'immune' to her abilities, or who can shield themselves well enough to avoid it.  This ability does not seem to work on Pokémon who are psychic, but will work on other types of Pokémon, and works on most, if not all people who she comes into direct physical contact with.  (Generally requires PC player permission, otherwise only works on NPC's, depending on the circumstance.)
[power]Psychic|Empathy/Telepathy|Inherent[/power]

Psychokinesis: Exactly what it says on the tin.  Parvana has not yet found a limitation to what she can lift, but she expects it to be within the range of several tons, potentially more.  She is capable of controlling multiple objects at once, with her current limit seeming to be no more than fifty objects at one time, and with the total weight no more than 300 lbs per object manipulated.  Any more than that and it begins to create strain on her mind.  Her psychokinesis sometimes manifests itself as glowing tendrils of energy, spheres of energy, or waves of energy that manipulate the objects around her.  The glowing tendrils are the most versatile, with each tendril acting as an additional 'limb'.  These tendrils are visible, but cannot be interacted with, though she can interact with others with them.

├─Classification: Psychic
├─Category: Telekinesis
└─Power Level: Grandmaster

Psychometabolic Manipulation: This ability is, simply put, what allows Parvana to manipulate her own body, in the sense of affecting her age, physical size, and physical form.  It is with this discipline of psychic power that she is capable of manipulating her physical form.  Everything and anything can be changed, and she could be anyone on the street if she so desired, after moments of concentration.  She uses this power rarely, instead preferring her own chosen physical form. She also uses this ability to manipulate and modify what would otherwise identify her as 'unique' - the shiny skin and deep purple of her hair.

├─Classification: Psychic
├─Category: Psycometabolism
└─Power Level: Inherent

Telepathic Projection: Parvana uses this ability to project her thoughts outward into an audible form that others may hear or see.  These thoughts can take the form of either audiovisual impressions, strictly visual impressions, or strictly audial impressions.  It is determined by Van's decisions as she projects her thoughts outward.  Similarly, she may use this ability to externalize the thoughts of others, though this requires much more focus, and an active psychic link with the individual.  Because this is incredibly intrusive, except during things such as interrogations, Van only uses this ability with the permission of the individual whose thoughts she is externalizing.  If Van ever reaches Grandmaster with this ability, she will be capable of complete illusions, ones that have audiovisual impressions, as well as tactile sensations and that are able to be actively interacted with.  She is already at this level with her own thoughts, but not the thoughts of others.

├─Classification: Psychic
├─Category: Telepathy
└─Power Level: Master

Reality is all about perception. wrote:The woman's eyes blinked again, slowly, and she pivoted her seat to fully face Zane, who'd just called her a 'friend'.  That was a word that was used casually among scientists in the laboratory that she'd been raised in.  Still, the term friend had little or no meaning to her.  Her only friend was resting inside the Poké Ball at her waist.  She curved the corner of her mouth up at Zane in what might pass for a smile.

"That is kind of you, but my drink is unfinished," she said, again in that soft murmur.

Her fingers tensed on the glass she was holding then, as she got the feeling that one gets when they're being watched.  The crawl of something across her pale skin, the fine hairs at the nape of her neck standing on end as if electrified.  She had thought that her creators had given up on pinning her down.  It was why she had come into the bar in the first place, to see if anyone was still tracking her.  The night had been uneventful, until now.

Her glass set down and she swiveled her stool around, gray gaze sweeping the crowd, trying to find the area her feeling of unease originated from.  It did not arrive with the young man and his companion.  Though she noticed it more strongly after they had arrived, it had been tingling at the edge of her senses.  No, her gaze swept them, pausing on his great sword, before continuing onward.

"You should be careful," a faint murmur this one softer than the previous, "I believe we are being watched by those who may have ill intentions.  However if that is your goal, you have succeeded."

There was a slight furrow of her brow as her gaze continued to prowl the bar for the source of her apparent agitation.
