Jaq [Male Typhlosion] — "Mistress doesn't like it when you fail her."
Jaq was a gift from Robert Tremaine when Cinder was five years old. He was seized by the state when Cinder was put into a mental hospital after the death of her father and stepmother. She reclaimed him when she went to live with the Fall family, and, during that time, her bond to the Pokémon grew in intensity. While not inherently evil in the manner that Cinder is, Jaq has a blatant disregard for other people and won't hesitate to attack others at his mistress' orders, even if those 'others' happen to be humans rather than Pokémon.
—Gifted by Robert Tremaine.

Lucifer [Male Litten] — "Don't test me."
Lucifer is an adorable little shit, but a little shit regardless. Fiesty and fierce, he spends most of his time out of his Poké Ball following Cinder around and twining himself around her legs. She treats him one part as more of a pet and one part as a battle Pokémon, though the former is much more common than the latter is. Their relationship is good, and she's uncharacteristically indulgent with the small Pokémon's failures, much more so than she is any people she interacts with. She obtained Lucifer the day that Salem first found her.
—Gifted by Salem.

Ability: [ability=intimidate]
Move Pool: [attack=scratch], [attack=ember], [attack=fire-fang], [attack=bite]

Beautiful... wrote:Cinder is fairly tall for a woman, standing at 5'11" in her heels. With a pale complexion, ashen-black hair and amber eyes, she cuts a pretty striking figure. She tends toward darker colored makeup to accent her features, preferring dark red fingernail polish, and violet eye shadow to draw out her eyes. Her lipstick is unusually pale in comparison to the rest of her accents. On her upper back, in the keyhole of her dress, she has a black tattoo of what appears to be a pair of high heel shoes placed sole to sole, forming a heart shape inside.

When it comes to clothing, her outfits tend to vary based on what she's doing, but her trademark outfit is a dark-red, off-the-shoulders, v-neck mini-dress with yellow designs. A blue feather-like accessory sits on her right hip, at the top of an open portion of her dress. The dress ends in an upside-down triangular tail in the back, just above the knees. There is a baseball diamond-shaped keyhole on the dress' upper back at the same height as her chest, to show off her tattoo. The sleeves of her dress end in a triangle shape, which are wrapped around her middle finger, with the gold designs of the sleeve taking over at the wrists. She wears black shorts underneath the dress, as well as a black choker on her neck.

When it comes to other accents, she has a gold loop earring with a black gem dangling from it on her right ear. Her feet are usually in a pair of dark high-heeled shoes that look as if they're made from glass, and a jeweled anklet rests on her right leg.

I want to be strong. wrote:Cinder is a complicated individual, even when painted in the best possible light. A woman who outwardly maintains a calm and collected demeanor, her inner nature is decidedly more conflicted. She is ruthlessly aggressive when she is in pursuit of her desires; openly cruel to others without the exclusion of those she is close to, and displaying a wicked level of cunning. An ambitious woman, she displays a certain level of imperiousness, that often leaves those who end up working under or around her in 'cooperation' with the understanding that their cooperation is mandatory, not voluntary. She also prefers that problems that arise be answered quickly and isn't above giving direct orders.

She can be demanding to the point of having a very low tolerance for failure in those that she either commands or subverts to her purposes, and won't hesitate to reprimand or dress down others who she feels have failed. She also isn't above directly threatening those that don't take their part in towing the line to her. Her plans are often kept secret from those around her, but she also has a fair bit of confidence in herself, and is unphased when new elements might disrupt her plans.

She's self-assured and skilled with her abilities, but also aware of her own weaknesses, and accordingly details her plans and schemes in such a way that she works to prevent these flaws being exploited. There is a deep desire for power and dominance in Cinder, something that drove her towards her devotion to Moltres, as the phoenix, which Moltres resembles, often represents rebirth and change, something that she decidedly embraces in herself. When openly asked what her greatest desires are, she always replies that she doesn't care about love and admiration. She wants to be feared.

I want to be feared. wrote:Cinder was born in a small town in Vermont, Unova by the name of Satans Kingdom. Her father was a small time worker named Robert. Her mother, Mary, died just a few days after her birth from complications that arose during labor. When Cinder was two, her father was remarried to a woman named Madonna Tremaine. Madonna, having had no children of her own, seemed delighted with the opportunity to help raise the small girl, and they became a family.

Life was normal, even good, with the woman doting on the child for the next year or so of her life. The first time Madonna struck Cinder, she was four years old. She'd spilled a bottle of juice on the carpet, and Madonna, frustrated with the child's disobedience, struck her. It became a routine, with Madonna growing increasingly more physically and soon also emotionally abusive with Cinder as the girl grew older. She attempted a few times to talk to her father as she gained the ability form the right words, but Robert was continually reassured by Madonna, and so the abuse continued unfettered.

At seven years old, Cinder waited until Madonna and Robert were sleeping, stuffed a shirt under their door, and turned the gas on the stove on. She walked outside, lit a match, threw it inside. The most vivid thing she recalls from that night was listening to the screams from the upstairs bedroom as her father choked on the smoke and her stepmother burned alive, all while she watched the house slowly collapse in on itself. When the local police arrived on the scene, Cinder was sitting amidst the ashes of the house, combing fingers through the edges of the rubble, rocking back and forth and muttering incoherently.

The bruises all over her body and the history of broken bones spoke worlds about the abuse she had endured, and so they determined that she had suffered a mental breakdown. She passed in and out of mental health institutions over the next few years, until she was about twelve. By that time, educated by the state and learning first-hand how to manipulate the system, Cinder was able to pass for sane and competent. She was shuffled in and out of a number of foster homes for the remainder of her youth, with the most notable incident happening at thirteen when she was introduced to the Fall family.

This was the only home that Cinder stayed in and the match was compatible, though, by now, Cinder was so twisted anyone would have served her purposes. She was adopted by the Fall family after she turned thirteen, and, through them, found her way to Moltres, as the family was a cluster of devouts, though none of them were pledged as priests. She found great familiarity in serving the firebird, and it was under him that she first developed her unique abilities.

Cinder lived with the family until she was eighteen, leaving after she was legally an adult to travel. Not long after, Cinder was recruited by the woman known only to her as 'Salem', and has been working under her tutelage ever since, slowly being corrupted to her way of thinking. Only her continued connection to Moltres keeps her on the edge of not being utterly overwhelmed by Salem's will. She works with a number of other people recruited under Salem's orders: Emerald Sustrai, Mercury Black, Roman Torchwick, Neopolitan Glace, as well as a 'shadow faction' within Salem's organization. She has worked in 'cooperation' with individuals like Adam Taurus as well, though she has no formal connection to him or the White Fang.

Though Cinder's contact with her adoptive family had been limited after her eighteenth birthday, Salem recognized that they were a liability, and ensured that they were taken out of the picture. With no ties to anyone outside of Salem's organization remaining, and the woman wholly committed to her Mistress' cause, no one is certain what her motivation now is, or how deep the well of darkness within her goes, perhaps not even Cinder herself.
