The most I ever did for you was to outlive you. But that is much. wrote:

Vino [Male Caterpie] - Even though I hate you, I want to love you.
Like every other Caterpie, Vino is delicate, cute and pocket-size. With a tendency to go missing, Vino is at best mischievous. Often slipping out of sight leads Vino into danger, and at times, life-threatening situations. Albeit, Vino is young and entertaining to the rest of the team, with an aspiration to grow and help his teammates furthermore.
-Captured at Route 204.

Ability: Shield Dust
Move Pool: Tackle, String Shot
Level: 7

Image
Pella [Male Chinchou] - Looking up from underneath, fractured moonlight on the sea.
Unusual for a Water-type Pokémon in general, Pella is particularly bolshy. Always expecting lots of attention, he will nudge the hands of friendly humans to receive a fuss. Especially fond of spicy food, Pella lives on a diet of Pinap Berries. Pella enjoys playing with Vino frequently, by flashing himself on and off and jumping around. A playful individual, this Chinchou is sure to become a staple in Ike's team.
-Received from Mr Dorrick.

Ability: Volt Absorb
Move Pool: Bubble, Supersonic, Thunder Wave, Electro Ball, Water Gun
Level: 12

Boid [Male Mothim] - Tell me, what do we do?
Before joining Ike on his journeys, Boid and Ike had made many encounters together by sheer coincidence. Ike would spot Boid on occasion at home, flying past the window, or he would happen to flutter past the docks. Regardless, the two finally met and were eventually bonded and began to travel united. Doubtlessly, Boid is the guardian of the team and strives to protect the other three. Courageous and devoted grants Boid a good instinct and this feat is evident on the playing field.
-Befriended in Canalave City.

Ability: Tinted Lens
Move Pool: Tackle, Protect, Bug Bite, Quiver Dance
Level: 17

Image
Zigzag [Male Zigzagoon] - In a minute you can realise you lost it all.
Zigzag is Ike's newest addition to the team. A little vibrant in personality and visage, this Zigzagoon is quite a rarity. Though Sinnoh doesn't feature this Pokémon, the fact that Zigzag doesn't look the way he should makes Ike, and other Pokémon Trainers ponder. Regardless, Zigzag stumbled to Ike's doorstep before he set out on his journey, refusing to go away. A few Pecha Berries later and Zigzag was frolicking around with a hilarious expression throughout his official hometown, Canalave City.
-Befriended in Canalave City.

Ability: Pickup
Move Pool: Tackle, Growl, Tail Whip, Sand Attack, Baby-Doll Eyes
Level: 12

It is loneliness that makes the loudest noise. This is true of men as of dogs. wrote:Ike is now seventeen years of age and has grown quite admirably over the years. The small little boy that couldn't see over the counter in a shop is now the average or above-average height compared to his friends or associates. His pale skin is still as perfect as it was when he was a child and some say his chocolate brown eyes have darkened, even more, creating an evil teenager look he doesn't really enjoy. His excessively spiky hair, which was sometimes overly fluffy has grown too. His hair is also much thicker now, so the fluffiness is pretty much gone, but the spikes remain untouched - as does the sunlit colour.

His ruffle-patterned white shirt has gone, and instead, he wears a basic black t-shirt underneath. The moss-green coloured jacket he wore has also been trashed in exchange for one of the same colour, except that this one is larger, has darker cuffs, an alternate pattern around his chest, and zip. His trousers have been replaced by larger, shaded ones with more pockets for storing the various things he collects. More importantly, his black and white baseball shoes have been replaced by sandy brown kicks, with a yellow tongue and heel. His dependable messenger bag remains.

Better be alone than in bad company. wrote:Ike is generally a timid individual but paradoxically enjoys any company. He is without a doubt a team worker and prefers to be with friends as opposed to being alone. A general positive thinker, Ike always looks on the brighter side of situations, such as being stranded in the rain. Peaceful from the heart outwards, Ike enjoys his quiet time and his solitude, save from being with his Pokémon. Timidness emanates from Ike, and he's the kind of person who would run up the stairs after turning the lights out at night, so a monster doesn't catch him. The kind of person who would be too scared to go back to a classroom on his own if he had forgotten something there. That kind of person was Ike's aesthetic, though not by choice.

Although positive, Ike can be quiet at the best of times which leads people to think he is unhappy or depressed - this is not the case. Ike is also quite intelligent, particularly in the field of Geography. Ike is also a keen collector of things and as such, is very well organised, keeping his bag tidy is a necessity to him, and he likes everything to be clean, good-looking and as he famously quotes, "Shipshape". Ike always enjoyed the company of adults more so than youth his own age, always attempting to chime into conversations with his mother's friends, or talking to strangers he had met on more than one occasion (despite the authorities, government and his family telling him explicitly not to do so).

Skillful listening is the best remedy for loneliness - loquaciousness - and laryngitis. wrote:
Image

Name: Cynthia McLadden - She'll lie and steal and cheat.
Age: 37
Gender: Female
Relationship: Mother
Trainer Orientation: Lawful Good
Trainer Class: Waitress

Cynthia is an incredibly common stereotypical mother. Calm, collected and on the whole, to herself. She goes to work in the morning and returns in the evening - not something she enjoys, not something she hates, just something she has to do. Further thrusting the stereotypical nature of her is her ability to cook for the family, clean the house and launder. She has a pet Ditto that she uses as a cushion to hug when watching the television when she has a little me-time.

Image

Name: Henry McLadden - We don't talk anymore.
Age: 39
Gender: Male
Relationship: Father
Trainer Orientation: Lawful Neutral
Trainer Class: Dancer

Henry is a professional dancer and has been for many years now. Mostly excelling in ballroom dancing, Henry can also waltz, tango, cha-cha, jive and who knows what else. What he can't do, however, is train Pokémon and in fact, has no interest in them whatsoever. Ike believes his father is fed up with his obsession to become a Pokémon Trainer and would rather he become a labourer of some kind.

Image

Name: Warner McLadden - My whole life, waiting for the right time.
Age: 18
Gender: Male
Relationship: Brother
Trainer Orientation: Chaotic Evil
Trainer Class: Plasma Grunt

Foolishly misguided by a higher-upper at Team Plasma, he was offered riches and stronger Pokémon in return for his assistance in helping with the founding and formation of Team Plasma. He still isn't a great deal richer, and his Pokémon can be argued with regarding strength, but Warner seems pleased with his progress. His family, however, have no idea he is part of a criminal organisation.

Image

Name: Mr Dorrick  - Counting all different ideas drifting away.
Age: 49
Gender: Male
Relationship: Friend
Trainer Orientation: True Neutral
Trainer Class: Dockmaster

Mr Dorrick, whose first name is still a mystery to Ike and his family, is a renowned sailor around Canalave City. He is a very friendly, outgoing character and the one person who looked after Ike during the summers when he had no school.

One may have a blazing hearth in one's soul - and yet no one ever comes to sit by it. wrote:Having lived in Canalave City for all his life, Ike considers himself an expert in local knowledge. He grew up around the docks, and his house is nestled away in the corner of the city, besides the library where he spent the majority of his youth. Ike would spend hours on end in the quiet, dusty rooms of the library and read up on folk tales and geographical information. Ike's brother, Warner, is a few years older than Ike and consequently didn't spend lots of time with him as a child.

The McLadden family was never Ike-orientated, and Ike was primarily left to do his own thing. He would dart around Canalave City in search of hobbies or interests, and he would often travel to islands for a day with Dockmaster Dorrick. Mr Dorrick would often watch over Ike to satiate his hunger for fun.

It was on these minor travels that Mr Dorrick would show Ike Pokémon that were common in the docks, such as Wingull and Magikarp. Mr Dorrick later concluded that Ike would need a bound friend to play with, to end his boredom and to keep him safe in the city. That such friend would later be Pella.

Ike and Pella would soon be, as hoped, the best of friends and that has yet to change. But Ike has grown significantly and is ready to face the whole world. With the addition of Boid and Vino, Ike had set his heart on exploring the geographical sites he had always dreamed of visiting, rather than just looking at the pictures in the library like he did when he was young.

God made everything out of nothing - but the nothingness shows through. wrote:Pella bobbed his lights to and fro. Quiet murmuring noises escaping his tiny life. He continued to rustle about between shrubbery, in search of Vino, but to no avail. With natural light cut off by the huge trees, the search would be near impossible. Ike faced the sky. Golden dust sprinkled over them, from the natural skyscrapers. He saw Boid fluttering around in circles, his search for Vino seemingly abandoned.

It had happened on countless occasions, Vino would disappear into thin air and return again within the hour - but never in a forest. Never in a place so vast. Never in an area with no safe places. All kinds of Pokémon lived within the woods, wild Staravia, Starly. Thoughts rushed through Ike's mind. Uncomfortable thoughts. He felt an uncontrollable emotion of angst and urgency. Wherever he was, he was endangered.
