Tia Marie [Female Swablu] - I'm gonna pick up the pieces, and build a Lego house.
Although caught long before Jaxx even travelled to Unova, Tia Marie was left behind inferior of another Pokémon caught before her in Hoenn (the long since forgotten Mightyena). Now, however, she's been ushered to step up to the plate and travel once more with her beloved trainer - one who has a secret soft spot for fluffy individuals - which she is willing and prepared to do unwavering. Although small and, some may say, delicate, Tia has a lot of passion and a feisty personality which sets her apart from any Flying-type Pokémon that Jaxx would consider a front runner.

Guinness [Male Tangrowth] - If things go wrong, we can knock it down.
One of Jaxx's oldest friends, caught as a Tangela in far off Kanto, Guinness has remained a veteran who decided to hide from the limelight and just show up when the credits start rolling. Incredibly strong, hugely versatile and massively lovable, this Tangrowth has been a staple in Jaxx's team since before venturing to Sinnoh, in fact, and has yet to fail or disappoint - such is the endurance of this impressive Pokémon.

Strongbow [Male Golduck] - My three words have two meanings.
Although Jaxx had seen (and in fact met) multiple Golduck on his now eight-year travels, never had he anticipated he would meet a Water-type Pokémon like the one he met on that October morning. A prankster had been purposely creating puddles and mud around the slopes and dips of Celestic Town, and the citizens were so fed up with it, they had asked trainers to investigate. Needless to say, after a look-see, it turned out to be this guy, who had been purposely shooting his Water Gun in order to watch people fall over and then laugh hysterically at them. Regardless, the Golduck was defeated by Jaxx's Venomoth and had learnt his lesson not to bother the townsfolk anymore, however, he was so impressed with Jaxx's skill that he decided to tag along too.

Appletini [Female Leavanny] - There's only one thing on my mind, it's all for you.
The newest addition to Jaxx's team is turning it a real gem. Not only is she the complete matriarch of the group, but she's also a complete powerhouse that teaches her enemies not to make a pushover of her. With an uncanny ability to recompose herself when needed, the entire team has taken to looking towards her for reassurance or motivation, which is gladly sent. Although at first a bit snobbish and carefree about being part of a team as diverse as Jaxx's, she has adjusted perfectly and has glazed over to be the newest, yet most intriguing addition.

Advocaat [Male Poliwhirl] - It's dark on a cold December.
Knowing full well that Advocaat wasn't Jaxx's strongest option for his new team that would accompany him throughout Unova, he brought him along regardless as a way to prove himself and show the rest of the competition (the likes of Mantine, Dewgong and Lanturn who all wanted his spot.) that he was no pushover. Rightly so, he's been doing just that and although he has a huge way to go yet, he's not holding back and has proved himself to be an asset, getting the team out of some sticky situation so far.

Amaretto [Male Gigalith] — But I've got you to keep me warm.
Jaxx has certain preferences that need to be met in order to get into his travelling team - a great battle sense, a personality to boot, and a systematic approach. Being unusual and bizarre was never one of the requirements, but one he could never reject. Amaretto is a bulldozer when fighting on the playing field, but his most appealing feature is his unusual behaviour pattern, shifting from energetic, playful and full of life, to quiet, reclusive and to himself. From serious to sulky, fierce to pathetic, this Pokémon has more personalities than stones in his body.

Standing at a rough five feet, five inches, Jaxx is a good head shorter than his strikingly similar sibling. His eyes are an impressive shade of hazel, forcing the stereotypical resemblance between him and his brother. Unlike Christian, however, his skin tone is slightly paler and he isn't as well built. Customization plays a large role in Jaxx's life, as such he has two single spider-bite piercings on his lower lip and another piercing on his left eyebrow.

After ridding himself of the miserable and gloomy lifestyle he led as a teenager, he now takes a lot better care of himself. His wardrobe is afresh (and not just thanks to his own willpower) and more casual, rather than a darkly-coloured, melancholy armoire like it used to be. He now frequently wears a plain white wife-beater, accompanied (always) by his trusty crescent moon pendant. Some typical black jeans are worn more often than not - they used to even more frequently be skinny jeans, but a certain Russian put a stop to that. He wears a special kind of shoe which he calls a 'glass dome' shoe. They are made from a firm plastic, similar to acrylic, but are heavily matted on the inside for maximum comfort. He also wears a bright, yellow, studded belt which is often worn loose, much to Arkady's disgust. He sometimes (but not always) will wear some basic, black rubber armbands.

Although recognized by everyone as being a usually sullen individual, he dramatically turned over a new leaf that nobody had even expected. It was almost as if he had planned it for months when he would do it and the execution would be perfect - and it was. Almost overnight, his personality shifted, his alignment correct, his clothes transformed, his ambition heightened and in an interesting twist, so did his preferences.

Now, Jaxx is a fun, lively and heavily ambitious gentleman from who people feel an aura of strength and confidence. Carefree in almost every aspect, it now takes a great deal of shit to get Jaxx in a foul mood. Highly optimistic, he always expects a positive (or at least decent) outcome and because of that, it usually happens! Having always been an independent individual hasn't changed in him, however, although he much more prefers the company of others than being a loner. Truly, if there was ever an individual who came out of a depressive era and made an impact, it's Jaxx.

Phillip is a calm, easy-going man with a positive outlook on almost everything. He's very difficult to upset, and even then he is forgiving of anyone that does manage to do so. Phillip loves and supports his sons despite both of them following a path in life that Phillip initially disapproved of. He works at the Hoenn Safari Zone and values the preservation of wildlife.

A teacher at the Lilycove Middle School, Mary, like her husband, is a kind person. She also feared for their sons when Christian went off in his own direction and Jaxx on another, but she always believed in her boys and the fact that they could do whatever they put their minds to. She is a bit of a loon, but only because she loves kids/her students and likes to joke around with them.

Christian is a very suave individual. He's sure of himself and always knows how he should act, but that's no guarantee he will do it. He's prone to speaking his mind, and while he doesn't outright scorn people, he does think a bit less of those that scare easily and don't seek to overcome their fears. All in all, he's mostly easy going. The two have a strong connection to each other and although they banter a lot, they care for each other extremely.

Jaxx has been given a good lot in life. He's never really had a terrible life, the family has had a few ups-and-downs, but all in all, no tragedy, no loss and certainly no money. The family was popular and very well-known throughout all of Lilycove City and Jaxx was never short of friends, he was destined to have a good childhood - that was set in stone. Teenagehood was another question.

His teenagehood was arduous and filled with the drama he wished he could have avoided, whether it be conflicts with friends, his family or more commonly, himself. Jaxx had the harshest journey imaginable trying to figure who he was, who he was becoming and who he wanted to become, resorting to turning his struggle into solitude. He built up walls around himself, avoided quizzing from friends and family and eventually found himself alone and entirely confused. Always known as the kid who locked himself away in misery and despair, who soon became a shadow of his former self; the child that glowed with happiness.

From a young age, it was known that he had a few tricks up his sleeve when it came to Pokémon, ranging from befriending them, battling or simply catching them with PokeBalls, he outdid his parents and brother in a flash and pursued a journey in which he would catch more, befriend them and never be lonely again: it worked. It worked so well, in fact, he had no idea which Pokémon he would spend the most time with, eventually leading him to palm some off to other people, or giving them to children who could never catch their own. Some returned to the wilds, some still insist on sticking around, however, he's now touring between Johto and far off Unova.

He started a new lease of life after meeting Arkady, a boy he met in Johto during his vast journey; the two met at the infamous Lake of Rage and gelled immediately. One thing led to another and another lead to great things and the two are now very comfortable with each other. Despite their huge differences and different ways of life, the two fit each other like a glove and established that they have such a huge amount of things in common; both have had to make huge sacrifices, dealt with troubling times and self-conflicting eras, yet somehow have emerged from it unharmed and mysteriously stronger. It's cute.

Jaxx grinned wickedly to himself as he spun back around to face the girl who was talking to him. To answer her question bluntly, yes, she did have sauce all over herself, but it was fine to him because it looked like she was enjoying herself, and that's what mattered. Additionally, Jaxx had a very firm and tolerant grasp on gender issues, and to him, he had no real idea what 'ladylike' constituted.

He also giggled a bit when she gestured to the giant guy ahead of him in the queue, knowing that her gesticulation was sarcastic - which was exactly the dry and subtle kind of humour that he adored. She offered out one of her barbecue sticks and, knowing never to deny somebody's generosity, especially the kind presented to him by strangers, he plucked it from her index finger and thumb. He was thankful but didn't want to sound weedy or almost desperate, so he tried a comedic angle to test the water, so to speak.

"A freshly made barbecue stick. That's money. I won't forget this."

He gave her a sly wink and grinned again afterwards as his way of saying thanks, before taking a hefty chew of the food and moaning in edible euphoria. Ignoring the fact he disliked barbecue sauce, he still ate it because it would be rude not to, and the bottom line was that he was hungry.

"Nice to meet you, by the way, I'm--"

But he was cut off before he could properly introduce himself, as a small object flew right past his field of vision, and landed with a significant thud on the grass in front of him, betwixt the two of them.
