Oddly [Female Oddish] — Just not "oddly" enough!
Oddly is the offspring of Henry's Bellossom and was one of two of Thyssen's first Pokémon. Oddly is slightly smaller than your standard Oddish, though not by too, too much, and her leaves are a soft green in color. She's young and shy and doesn't stray far from Thyssen at any given time, often opting to ride in his knapsack. Oddly isn't much one for straying far from Thyssen, and even when she's not in his knapsack, she's somewhere near him, usually huddled up against his ankle.

Roary [Male Houndour] — R-r-roar at the moon!
Roary is the offspring of Christian's Houndoom and was the other Pokémon they gave to Thyssen to start out with. Roary is rambunctious and adventuresome in his youth. He's younger than Oddly, though only by a day or two. Often he can get himself into trouble with his playfulness, but he truly means no harm. Thyssen is prone to carrying him around in his arms in typical child fashion (with his arms around the dog's torso and the dog's hind legs dangling down). Roary doesn't particularly mind, though it is uncomfortable...

Thyssen is your typical six-year-old boy. He's got wide green eyes and chocolate brown hair, cut so that the bangs fall over his eyes. At the base of his neck is a long rat-tail-style pony-tail. It's bound with white fabric and extends almost to his ankles. It's arguable whether the hair is real or if it's woven or clipped on. Most people can't tell, though.

Clothing-wise, he wears a forest green shirt and khaki shorts. His shoes are nondescript and are red with white laces. On his left wrist he wears a rainbow pony-bead bracelet, made by his "mom." Around his neck is a gold chain and a golden ankh charm, given to him by his father. In colder weather, he'll switch his shorts out for jeans and wear a black jacket and green scarf. On his back he wears a small, yellow knapsack.

Thyssen is, in a word, innocent. He's only six years old, so he's quite naive and often times forgets things that upset him. He's playful and almost always seeks to make new friends, even if the person is much older. He's like other kids though and can throw a tantrum when he needs to, but he's been taught not to do it just when he wants his way.

He's very curious, almost to a fault, and sometimes wanders away from his parent's watch. Thyssen also has a bit of a soft spot for coloring, like most kids, and he keeps crayons and paper in his knapsack, as well as a few of his favorite toys at all times. He is pretty bright, for his age anyways, and can usually grasp something if you explain it in terms he can understand.

Phillip is a calm, easy going man with a positive outlook on most everything. He's very difficult to upset, and even then he is forgiving of anyone that does manage to do so. Phillip loves his adoptive grandson dearly, just as much as he loves his sons and their significant others. He works at the Hoenn Safari Zone and values the preservation of wildlife.

A teacher at the Lilycove Middle School, Mary, like her husband, is a kind person. She also feared for their sons when Christian went off in his own direction and Jaxx on another, but she always believed in her boys and the fact that they could do whatever they put their minds to. She loves Thyssen as much as she's loved any of her past students.

Henry takes after his father quite a bit. Augie is very artistic, just like his son, and he is thrilled that Henry got with Christian. Augie works as a painter and he has some fame to his name. He's a bit... eccentric, though. Augie doesn't mind that his son is gay (he's actually kind of happy, because he always suspected it) and he supports Henry completely. He spoils the shit out of Thyssen.

Absolutely in love with her son's music and her grandchild and son-in-law, Indica is every bit a kind soul. She's all for chasing your dreams, no matter how foolish. Indica works at a small floral arrangement shop in Ecruteak. Like her husband, she supports Henry's homosexuality and also spoils the crap-ton out of Thyssen.

Thyssen was born and grew up in Ecruteak City in Johto. He spent the first three years of his life in the care of an orphanage, until he was adopted by Christian and Henry.

He doesn't remember much of his time in the orphanage at all, but he does know the address of his home. His mommy made him memorize it. 341 Swift Street, Ecruteak City, Johto. And he does remember the very first day he met his parents. They took him to the park and then took him to his new home. He knows he's been happy ever since.

He knows both of his parents are boys and sort of (not really) grasps that Henry couldn't really be his mom. He calls Henry his mommy anyway. When he was five, Henry and Christian gave him two Pokémon eggs, close to hatching. Thrilled to receive them at such a young age, he watched over them with as much patience as a five-year-old could mange: practically none. Regardless, Roary and Oddly both hatched soon and he found in them the two best friends he could ever have.

A year later, he entered kindergarten at his local school. It tore him up that he was not allowed to bring Oddly and Roary with him to class, but each day they greeted him with enthusiasm upon his return. On some days, he accompanies Christian to work at the studio, and seeing his dad record music has inspired him to want to be an airplane when he grows up.

No one, yet, knows why. Kids just say the darndest things.

"W-wait! Roary!"

Thyssen Törne ran as fast as his two little six-year-old legs could possibly carry him. Which, of course, wasn't very fast at all. Nevertheless, his rat-tail hair thumped against his rear as he pattered through the wilderness of Route 35. His arms held out in front of him, his hands grabbing at a far of object, he let out another call.

"Roooarrryyy!"

But the subject of his hollering was well in front of him. The Houndour in question let out a loud playful yip and soldiered onwards. His feet thudded against the dirt and his tongue lolled out of his head, leaving a trail of saliva in the air. His bum-tail wagged and he gave what he thought to be quite a magnificent leap over a fallen log.

Only, he wasn't watching where he was going, and he ran right into a woman humming a tune, going face first into her lap and into the paper she was holding. He let out a loud yelp as he balled up from the impact and the toppled away from her, his head spinning and his vision a blur of color.

"Houn... dour...!"

Thyssen came toppling right after him, knees scrapped from his climb over the fallen log and tears stinging at the corner of his eyes. He bit his lip and his cheeks puffed up under his eyes as he looked from the woman to Roary and he dove for the Houndour and wrapped his scrawny arms around the still dizzy dog. He tangled his tiny fingers in the creature's black fur and eyed the woman warily where she sat underneath the tree.
