Muffin [Male Totodile] — Do you know the muffin man?
Muffin is Sam's starter and is by far her loyal partner. He's quirky by nature, as well as extremely curious: he'll stick his head into any open door he can possibly find. He's very attached to Sam and refuses adamantly to stay in his Ball, often riding in or on her satchel bag. He gets his name from a fondness for muffins and cupcakes, which is his so fond of he that he is known to have stolen quite a few in his lifetime. Muffin has a good heart, though, and he always accepts punishment for his thievery.

Himitsu [Female Hoppip] — Everywhere I look I see green scenic sublime.
Like her brother's Jumpluff, Himitsu is also from Sam's mother's garden. Himitsu, however, did not grow up with Sam like Luffin did with Cobinathan. Himitsu was born in Sam's arms on her first visit back home after receiving Muffin. Himitsu is very young and, like Muffin, refuses to stay in her Poké Ball, floating along side Sam on her journeys. She's prone to getting tired, though, and likes to tuck herself onto Sam's shoulder for when she falls asleep on the go.

Omna [Male Wobbuffet] - Halta de manna, cinca de manna, horahoraho...
Omna is your typical Wobbuffet and is very much a goof ball. He doesn't like to be serious and instead tries to spice up life by being the clown of the party. Sam captured him early on in her journey around Johto and he's stuck to her like glue ever since. He likes to tease her by tackling her in a hug when he comes out. Sam loves Omna and usually she leads a battle with him because he's such a quirky lead.

Doschitay [Male Hitmontop] — Count, count, count to a hundred.
Sam has trained Doschi since he was a Tyrogue and, because of that, their bond it strong stuff. Doschi is a very stoic creature and is perhaps Sam's best battler. Every time he fights, he makes a dance of it, and his movements are fluid, like a soft lullaby. He enjoys music greatly and is always singing to himself when he's not fighting. Typically, Doschitay is the one Sam uses to finish up an important battle or the like.

Swiftness [Female Manectric] — It is only when you are pursued that you become swift.
Sam's other main battler, Swiftness is one of the newer additions to Sam's team, seeing as she just landed in Hoenn. She captured him as a Electrike north of Slateport City and he evolved later, in her battle with Flannery. He's quite fast, though not very strong physically, but his speed makes up for it in full. He takes great pride in his fancy footwork... and he works wonders in double battles with Doschi.

Honeysweet [Female Heracross] — If you want honey, don't kick over the beehive.
Honeysweet is actually a companion to Sam's brother's own Heracross. The two Heracross are sisters and are almost twins, sometimes even confusing their Trainers as to which is which. Both of them are overly affectionate and have tremendous sweet teeth. Honeysweet is unlike Sweethoney, however, in that she actually enjoys to battle. Honeysweet can get kind of lonely, though, and Sam does her best to cheer to Pokémon up by visiting Sweethoney whenever she meets Cobi in her travels.

Sam is every bit an oddball. She has basic, long, brunette hair, that she doesn't bother to style short of sweeping the bangs to one side. Her eyes are violet, much like her younger brother's and her father's. A spattering of her mother's freckles dot her cheeks. She stands five feet, three inches tall.

She finds a balance between girly and tomboy-ish, adopting charcoal leggings and simple, white kicks, with a blue and white-sleeved dress. She almost always is seen with her parasol, which is colored like a Totodile, and her blue Pokétch, because she refused to wear the girly pink one.

Sam is happy-go-lucky and doesn't have a care in the world. She challenges Gyms on a whim sometimes, but doesn't really plan on taking the Leagues seriously. Unlike her brother, who does want to beat all the Gyms, she's not disappointed when she loses and doesn't see purpose in returning to try again from agitation or determination. She will if she wants to, that's that.

She's very rarely, if ever, mean to people, and instead seeks friends where ever she can find them. She likes to joke around a lot, sometimes too much for her own good, and she takes life as it comes to her. She's a bit too focused on her goal for her own good, so she's not one to stick to any one area for long periods of time, preferring to travel.

Theodore is a bear of man and he loves his children with all of his huge heart. He is more than happy to see them grow and explore the world, and he funds their financial needs from his own pocket sometimes, due to his profession as a businessman and entrepreneur.

Juliah loves her children just as much as her husband does, and she, too, loves to watch them sprout up from the ground. She has a bit of an obsession with gardening, and she keeps a huge flower garden in the back of their house, which some of Cobi's and Sammy's Pokémon were found in.

Sam grew up in Violet City, in the Johto Region. Living with her brother and parents, Sam spent many days idling away happily, sometimes exploring the wilds with her younger brother, Cobinathan, and sometimes helping her mother garden. She wouldn't really have a purpose in life, as she didn't carry much interest in challenging the Gyms.

When she was nine, however, she found interest in Pokémon unlike others. Something just struck her about the color blue. And, while her brother collects Bug- and Grass-types, Sam collects blue-colored Pokémon. It is needless to say that she aspired to get a Totodile to start her journey in search for blue Pokémon. On the day she turned ten, she and her father and brother went to Professor Elm's Laboratory so that she might get her very own Totodile.

Sam decided that she would travel Johto and Kanto first in search of Pokémon with blue colors. On one visit back to Violet, her first, after having gone south and circling back up from Azalea and Goldenrod to her hometown, her mother presented her with a Hoppip egg on the verge of hatching and Himitsu became her long lasting companion.

For the next handful of years she crisscrossed Johto, until she was fourteen, often visiting back to Violet City to entertain her brother with stories of her travels, who could hardly wait for his own journey. She would tell him both of Celebii and Shaymin, two of his favorite Legends. At fourteen, she had gathered a handful of Johto badges and then decided it would be time to traverse to Kanto.

In Kanto, her searches continued and she went about challenging Gyms if she felt like it, often losing, but sometimes walking away with badges of her very own. By the time she was sixteen, she was one away from being able to enter the Indigo League, but she decided against it and decided to embark to Hoenn.

Now in Hoenn, she's embarking onward into her journey, Muffin and Himi close at hand and ready to spot out any blue-colored Pokémon she could add to her collection!

Samantha, or as she much preferred to be called by, Sammy, sighed and rubbed the sleep from her eyes. She had opted to rest up for the night in the Pokémon Center of Petalburg... and her Totodile and Hoppip, Muffin and Himitsu, were both still sound asleep on the cot. They curled into each other and Muffin sagged towards where her body had once been prior to her sitting up.

It seem like today was going to be pleasant, given that sun like poured in through the Pokémon Center's windows. She grinned and shifted off of the cot. She slipped away to change into her normal clothing and she ran a quick brush through her brown locks, sweeping her bangs off to the right side.

When she returned, Muffin was sitting up, his feet hanging off the cot. He looked up at her and let out a welcoming, "Totoooodile!"

"Good morning to you too, Muffin," she replied with a smile.

Sam went about gathering her things, putting them into her white satchel-style bag. Muffin hopped down from the cot and began helping her. A sock there, a barrette here. Really, how could, in a single evening, one be so messy with one's stuff? No matter, it was all at hand eventually. She piled all her belongings into the satchel and then swung it onto her shoulder.

Tugging the cot back into order, Sam scooped up Himi, whom was still tired. With a grin, she placed the small Hoppip onto of the bulge of her satchel-bag. Himi could rest as much as she wanted.

Muffin bounced up and down, following Sam as she made her way out of the Pokémon Center. Sam glanced down at her Pokétch. Hmm... well... They had time to grab some breakfast! With that, Sam found herself a small convenience store and purchased two blueberry muffins. They were her and Muffin's favorite.

She knelt down and held one out to the Totodile. "Which one do you want?"

"Dile!"

Sam let out a yelp at the Totodile snapped his jaws, grabbing the packaging of both muffins and then took off running for the gates to Route 104. She let out a cry and followed after him, dodging around people as she went. Oh, when she got a hold of him... It was just like Muffin to play these kinds of games! Himi had woken up by now and burrowed into Sam's satchel to avoid being jostled away.

The chase continued until they were on the fringe of the city, and Sam let out a yell. "Muffin, give me back those muffins!"

Muffin however, had been glancing back towards his Trainer with a gleeful gleam in his eye. He had not seen the red haired girl in front of him and he collided with her in a storm of blue scales and brown pastries. Sam caught up with him and paused, making to apologize, but she instead had to bend half over, hands on her knees, to catch her breath.
