Kirlia [Male]: Kirlia is a timid Pokémon, and somewhat shy when meeting new people or Pokémon. However due to it's ability to sense the emotions of others around it, it can affect it's own emotions. Luthren's determination in battle could be sensed by Kirlia and quickly give Kirlia a confidence boost it needs to keep on with the battle. Kirlia is also able to use it's senses to recognize Luthren, a small detail, but could one day be usefull. Kirlia also secretly wishes to get stronger, not only of the mind, but physically stronger... This might be sparked from Kirlia's small meekly appearance.

Pidgeotto [Female]: Pidgeotto was the second Pokémon Luthren caught. She seems to always be serious, and even apathetic, but is very prideful. If a Pokémon where to challenge her, she would leap headstrong into a battle. Although seeming pretty apathetic outwardly, on the inside she is a very understanding pidgeotto, and even deals with her own pent up emotions. She tries to do everything as well as she can, she can't be the best if she doesn't try of course, but she does enjoy praise more than she lets on.

Luthren Marks is 5'5", has eyebrow-length brown hair, and green eyes. He wears a grey colored jacket with a Poké Ball pattern on the bottom half of the front. He wears a grey shirt underneath the jacket. He has on black jeans, and black tennis-shoes. He has a poke-ball themed backpack to carry things in, and his belt hold potentially six pokeballs that would contain his six party Pokémon.

He appears to be just some random punk with his body stature, usually hands in his pockets as he walks, and he rests his head on his arms or hands as if he were bored while sitting, and almost always crossing his arms while standing. While he gives off a bored expression, it's almost never the case, he likes watching things around him, and takes an interest in observing things. The way you know how Luthren truly feels is through his eyes. His eyes will be slowly scanning things if he is taking in something interesting, quickly darting if he is paranoid, or alert of something like a Pokémon, or still and dull if he is spacing off in thought or thinking. Although this is can be hard to pick up on if you just meet him.

Luthren can be quiet, and distant, but he enjoys company as much as anyone else. He loves the feeling of adventure, and loves seeing new and amazing sights. He might seem closed up at first, but once he gets comfortable around you he opens up, and becomes a loyal friend.

He has moral beliefs that he stands by, but he doesn't care about much else, if someone does something bad around him, so long as it doesn't go against any moral he has, he doesn't care, and goes on with his own life. He cares for his Pokémon, and friends that he makes. An easy way of becoming his friend is to approch him. Due to his neutral attitude, he doesn't often approach others, so if someone were to come to him, he tends to enjoy their company. Even though Luthren tends to give off a sense of boredom due to his appearences, it is far from how he actually feels. He usually is in a good mood, and enjoys himself with little things. He often carries cards and things with him, practicing different small skills like drawing and card tricks to have something to do with free time, and as a small thing to show people when he gets feeling lonely, and longing for human interaction.

Luthren has always been quiet in class, only having a couple of close friends he really brightened up with. He loved learning about Pokémon and their abilities/moves. He had once found a sentret trapped on a rock in the middle of a stream, thinking the sentret was stuck, which it wasn't, Luthren had plunged into the water, struggling to swim to the senteret. The senteret seeing a random boy coming towards it, simply jumped to another rock, then onto shore, and ran off leaving Luthren struggling now back to shore. This situation is what made Ron, Luthren's father, recognize his son's interest in Pokémon.

Ron then had to leave  to Hoen. Luthren stayed with his parents for a couple of months, awaiting his father's return. His Grandparents told him old Pokémon legends, and let him play with a couple of neighbor's poekmon, one being a hoot-hoot, and the other being a ladyba. Once Ron returned, he suprised Luthren with his own Ralts, a Pokémon that is not often seen in Johto. Luthren researched everything he could about Ralts, and learned of it's split evolution path. Excited, Luthren trained Ralts, and took care of it the best he could.

Eventually, Luthren convinced his dad to let him explore around Johto, but Ron only allowed him to go so far. After years of coaxing, and persuasion, now at 16 Luthren is able to explore freely, and grow on his own. Luthren writes notes in a notebook about all the Pokémon he sees, and draws a picture of them. Each page of his notebook is dedicated to each new Pokémon he sees. His first goal is to travel all the way down to New Bark Town in order to see the famous Prof. Elm and see what he can teach him.

Luthren one day ended up losing Ralts. He had woken up one night, looking out his opened window, he spotted Ralts running around the corner of his house. Quickly, Luthren followed it, wondering what it was doing. He had followed Ralts up to the old burned down tower, now nicknamed the Burned Tower. Ralts had quickly hopped up the stairs, and entered the old tower. Luthren nervously followed, he wasn't sure if it was off limits, or even dangerous to wander around in the tower, but he had to get Ralts. Once he entered, he spotted Ralts talking to a strange grey ball of gas... Walking over to it, he realized it was an off-colored Gastly. Suprised, Luthren made a small note in his notebook, and approached the two Pokémon. Ralts was giggiling, and Gastly was making weird faces. Ralts spotted Luthren before Gastly did, and called out in surprise. Awaiting chastizment for sneaking out, Ralts' head lowered, and it walked over to Luthren, but instead of chastizment, Luthren patted Ralts on the head, and looked at the Gastly, who was now frowning, and looked worried. Luthren asked if the Gastly would join him and Ralts on a journey, and Gastly shook it's head (or more like his entier body). Luthren then asked if he could come back when he was a stronger trainer, and see if he would join him then, Gastly then happily shook it's head (or body... you know...) yes, and vanished. Luthren went home, and in the morning was in awe at what amazing things Pokémon were.

Update #1
Having started off on his journey, he only made it as far as Goldenrod city before an earthquake sparked an event that would impact Luthrens life from that point on. Having gone into the Goldenrod Pokecenter to find shelter, he met a fellow trainer, and after having dissmissed the quake, had a battle in Ilex forest. There they were confronted by what seemed like soldiers, (whom Luthren didn't know were actually the criminal Almalgam organization). Having their battle interuppted. At that point chaos began unfolding, and Luthren found himself searching for his way out of the forest while fighting off dark creatures he had never thought to see personally.

Eventually a large cyclopes like darkspawn had confronted them, and with it a voice from somewhere incredibly distant, yet had felt so powerful. The voice asked him a simple qustion, and with Luthren's answer he had been imbued with alien power, a dark plate that now haunted his psyche. With what power he could muster forth from this alien source, together he and the rest of the trainers fought back the darkspawn, his own Pokémon having evolved in order to protect Luthren, and allow for the meek chance of survival he had.

Now he is simply questioning his options, struggling to understand and confront the alien power he had been given, deciding to return home to regain his resolve, and plan out what to do in the future with the knowledge of such ominous beings lurking in the darkness.

Hone Edge: Shadowy wisps pool out from the hands/wrists, condense, and solidify around the damaging part of a weapon or, when unarmed, providing one inch claws at the knuckles. This dark substance simply boosts or adds a cutting effect to the weapon (or fists) of the user, though it takes longer to master applying this effect to a weapon. This material is incredibly durable, but provides no protection for the weapon, or person it is applied to, which would still take all of the shock of striking something, or blocking, etc. (Based off of Hone Claws).

Dark Thoughts: As the Dark Plate settles into Luthren, he began to hear dark thoughts that seem to creep into his mind. To Luthren the thoughts seem as though they are not his own, however any telepathic onlooker would hear these thoughts in place of Luthren's own thoughts, and when in worse conditions can cause distress towards the telepath. In exchange for greater control of his abilities, Luthren can allow the thoughts to manifest more. However, if going too far, Luthren loses control of his impulses, and begin giving in to the Dark Thoughts' suggestions. (Based off of Nasty Plot).

Luthren walked into the Pokémon center, the rain outside could be heard as the door opened, and slowly faded out as the door clattered shut. Dripping wet, Luthren reached for Ralt's Poké Ball. Ralts was tired from the last battle he was in, a Linloon. The Linloon had been quite the match. Luthren walked over to the counter, his shoes making a squeaking sound with each step. Behind the desk stood one of many nurses. After letting the nurse fix Ralts up, Luthren let him out of his Poké Ball. Ralts turned to face Luthren, who was still drenched, and gave him a smile, feeling better than after it's battle. Happy, Luthren picked up Ralts, and they left the poke-center. Still raining outside, Luthren quickly jogged over to the pokemart, where he would stock up on potions so that Ralts wouldn't get into such a miserable state the next time they are in a tough battle.
