Brick [Male Bastiodon]: Started as a Shieldon, Yyves' first Pokémon. Yyves' mother was a regionally-traveling archeologist, later prompting his own lingering interest in the field. What helped cement this is the fossil she brought back with her. As a family, they took a trip to a revival facility in Unova to allow Yyves to have his fossil revitalized and awakened as a Pokémon, yielding his very first Pokémon: Shieldon. Brick has been at Yyves' side his entire life, protecting him in brawl after brawl loyally.

Bhuddina [Female Snorlax]: "Won" as a prize during a street-style rap battle. Yyves came out on top, and the losing party got stomped out by everyone present. As his trophy, feeling especially vindictive due to his opponent running his mouth the entire time, the mighty Y-Zen claimed his fellow teenager's only Poké Ball. When he released the Pokémon inside to show the transfer in ownership, the crowd went silent as a Snorlax appeared next to him. Y-Zen nearly died of laughter that day, doubling over as the call of "Dere's two o' dat nigga now!" came from the throng. Bhuddina has since been a very terse and unforgiving Pokémon for Yyves, but despite her bad attitude remains obedient.

Brahna [Male Gryffa]: Yyves' muscle. Where his own studies in martial arts are cursory enough to have given him a serious advantage against other brawlers, Brahna studied intently and became a full-fledged martial artist. It often seems to look down on Yyves for his decadent lifestyle, eschewing the ascetic sense of the normally fairly savage Pokémon. All the same, Brahna acts as Yyves' muscle and ever-looming threat over those who would seek to do him undue harm or deal damage to his business. It displays its martial prowess eagerly in battle, not afraid to use its talons to draw blood. It seems to appreciate that aside from matters related to work, Yyves is a very blatantly honest person.

Rocko [Male Rockruff]: Picked up quite recently in Alola during his downtime from the tour that led him to perform on the islands. Rocko is actually not treated like the rest of Yyves' Pokémon, where they have a strong employer/employee bond with a sense of long-term familiarity and built-up understandings of one another. Rocko is a pet, and it seems exceptionally happy in this role for the most part. It would like to be a battler, but has very few ways to express this, and Yyves isn't a great trainer to begin with at this point. But as a lap dog, Rocko is pleased with Yyves' ownership, being petted and played with whenever the rotund rapper is idle. Rocko is most happy with the fact that Yyves' toughened flesh doesn't mind his rocky spikes.

Yyves is an astonishingly large man, it is the first thing one tends to notice about him. It's very difficult to tell where the fat ends and the muscle begins, but Lord have mercy there's a lot of both and he's not afraid to flaunt either. Due to his impressive girth it's actually somewhat difficult to tell unless you are standing before him, but Yyves is actually fairly tall, standing at 6'5". His father was a black Creole native of Louisiana, and his mother a pureblooded Indian born in Unova, and so the man grew up a rather interesting shade of chocolate, not least of which made his blazing blonde hair stick out inappropriately.

Intricate tattoos stretch across his flesh these days, lines with an appearance of depth like ravines through his skin stretching away from others and colliding with almost mystic-looking circles. Those familiar with cultures from his heritage would note the pointed Hinduistic markings scouring his body, elegantly interspersed with Buddhist prayer forms. Likewise someone even more versed in these cultures would realize none of it actually meant anything altogether, but for most people it tends to give him a very noted touch of Oriental and Eastern mysticism. Eyes like red clay (contacts) complete an oddly lion-like facial appearance, as if a great cat had become a buddha.

On any given day he wears high-quality and obvious custom clothing, denoting either the record label he's signed to, giving props to his former gang, or Thug Life in general. Oddly he does own an actual set of Vedic-inspired formal wear that, contrary to his clear misuse and limited understanding of the culture, is appropriate in its design.

Yyves is quick to laugh in comfortable company, and tends to possess a constant and somewhat arrogant smirk - less conceited than extremely confident. He carries himself easily despite the overbalance of his body, and everywhere he turns up one could swear it looks like he owned the place. In a professional setting he's quite passionate about his music, and will not hesitate to verbally destroy those who bring any interruption or harm to the process. In a 'professional' setting he is utterly collected and laid-back, overseeing business like some sort of veteran don, using his countenance, coolly aggressive speech patterns, and physicality to ensure his contracts get paid and his product gets moved.

Rather than keep all three of these faces separate, Yyves can react in either of these three general ways depending on who approaches him, with what business, and how. He rarely brooks disrespect unless he finds it funny, and pushing the man too far (that limit can vary wildly day by day) can easily find oneself on the wrong end of his Gyrffa or Snorlax. Even then he is somewhat unpredictable, and has been witnessed literally crushing an attacker with powerful swinging blows of his arms.

He was born in the Louisiana province of Unova, in a little town not far from the bayou. By this time his parents already lived in separate locations due almost entirely to preference in living arrangements. A bit further out from the town was a city where his mother worked as an archeologist, and he stayed with her when she wasn't off to catalogue objects at a digsite or setting up museum exhibits. When she was busy, the young Yyves lived with his father specifically in the bayou, among the Creoles. Between the two he gained a taste for fine things and less-than-legal skills. The boy wasn't exceptionally bright or gifted, but if he liked something enough he turned out to be a good hard-worker. If there was something he needed to know about one of his passions, he studied books and asked questions of those more knowledgeable and skilled than himself until he was as good as he wished to be.

Yyves grew up in this manner, back and forth between parents who were separated more by distance than relationship, and had his run of the three locations of his youth, eventually turning to the company of his fellows as he lacked a certain level of companionship from his parents. His mother was rarely home and there was only so many times he could beat his father at cards or dice before growing bored of the company. Unfortunately these fellows were always local ne'er-do-wells, and in time they began to roll together as a full-fledged posse, the local gang of criminal intent. They got into fights with many other youths and groups, and would often make off with petty thievery. Yyves had a fondness for two things at this point in life which follow him to this day: good food, and the most complete home gym set of anyone in the region. It was some wonder that his arms and belly raced to out-expand one another rather than one overcoming the other. Around this time, the relatively poor group came into possession of items such as cell phones and music players, and types of music began to infiltrate their talks in whichever spot the gang met up at.

Over time, rap battles became prevalent within the group and even between other hostile groups in the area. Either for sport, boredom, money, territory (by whatever loose definition, none of them seemed to care where they did their stomping), or even blood - with the losers getting the living hell kicked out of them by the winners and audience. Street battles became more and more interesting, as it was hard to tell whether someone was about to pull out a knife or Poké Ball, or their second-man was about to start beatboxing to set them up. The teenaged Nastika rather enjoyed this, and again his passion led him to work hard to excel, becoming a powerful brawler and accomplished lyricist over a few short years. In time, he and a few others of the moderately large gang assumed leadership-like positions, and the seven of them were generally referred to by nicknames in general use by their compatriots. However, Young Nasty, in reference to his last name of Nastika, did not sit well with Yyves for long. When he was seventeen, he got hold of his mother's books on subjects of her ethnic origins over in India. The more he read, the slightly more he understood until he had what one might call street knowledge of the ancient cultures prevalent in the history of the region.

Now armed with a theme to base his image off of, he had some skinwork done to create an air of Eastern mysticism, and would often make quotes from a list he memorized that sounded good in English. In time, his name changed to suit the image he put off, and he became known as Young Zen. Pleased, Yyves turned his lackluster knowledge of ancient history around and began to concentrate more on his Pokémon battling, and his musical stylings, eventually becoming a locally-accomplished rap artist by the age of nineteen. During this period he was introduced to 'the herb' as it flowed into his region, seeing unrestricted usage by the marsh natives and quiet, trendy usage in the city. His gang, based in the small town between both took up the call as providers for those in the city who had to lay low due to an uncertain legal mess surrounding ownership and usage of the plant, and at this did Yyves also prove his skill at hard work. It took time, with his attentions divided, but he became good at organization skills and talking business, even better at getting his way when business talks broke down. By twenty-four he managed all product for the gang, and earned himself a title in this stumbled-upon underground. By twenty-seven, if you were in the region and wanted a night to relax, you asked for one of the Kingpin's boys.

It was at this point in his life that his mother left his father and moved over to India permanently, and wanting to see what was so damned important Yyves followed after her. In turn, he spent time in the new country, and absorbed more material for his music and experience in worldliness, in time accepting his mother's decision to leave and his lack of inclusion and understanding his parents' relationship. For a time he stayed in India, and returned when he was almost thirty, immediately getting picked up by Southern Unova Gold Records and signing onto the label. Thug Life had become counter-culture and popularized. The fact he was known as a former gang member helped solidify his position with the music group, even if his charisma and ability to spin a yarn made it seem as though his life had been much more 'street' than it actually was. None of the gangs of his younger years had ever been obnoxiously violent or starving, and no guns had been involved, no one's families murdered or anything of the sort that the music scene called for - which was popular due to its shocking concepts, mostly alien in settled and civilized regions of this Pokémon-laden world.

No longer quite as young as when he'd first been named, Yyves took the artist name of Y-Zen for his music, and hasn't gone back to Louisiana for some time, enjoying his studio business and continuing his underground side-job as the Kingpin, though mostly through delegation. Those who are knowledgeable can find the Yyves of today to be something of a pseudo-intellectual, using cobbled-together understandings of this or that to promote himself or his work, but few are foolish enough to challenge him directly over the issue. The man became quite large and imposing over the years, and his limited studies into martial arts that originally began as a way to further intimidate potential opponents grew into something of an addition to his lifestyle. By no means greatly skilled as a combatant or Pokémon Trainer, he is quite formidable, and carries himself with confidence enough to crush those not shouldering an equal level of self-importance. To this day he enjoys the income from his albums, the visits of old friends, dealing with new business partners, exquisite dining, fine livery, and the frequent dustup either in the Pokémon arena or with whoever catches an attitude with him.

Unique Abilities_______________________________________
└-Powers unique to the character.

Human Juggernaut: The bearer of this ability is almost superhumanly sturdy. Through sheer bulk, many attacks which might be crippling or would slow down a normal person simply do not affect the bearer, or do so at a greatly reduced efficiency depending on the severity of the effect. A Juggernaut can shrug off pain from bludgeoning attacks and rarely suffers side effects from them. Piercing and slashing attacks that make smaller wounds can generally be ignored by the bearer until the end of combat. Various vital points become all but inaccessible to most kinds of attack. The bearer is not very quick overall, however, lacking in outright movement speed.

└─Power Level: Inherent
