I don't enjoy battling... but it's my duty as a Gym Leader to confer Badges on anyone who has proven him- or herself worthy. wrote:

Alakazam [Male]Psychic power isn't something that only a few people have.
Sabrina's first Pokémon, she captured her Abra when she was exploring the route south of Saffron City when she was six. Unlike most, this Pokémon Sabrina captured on her own, binding it to the earth and cutting off it's ability to teleport when encountering it as a wild Abra. After that, it was merely the task of throwing a Poké Ball. Alakazam considers Sabrina almost like a sister, matching her psychic abilities with his own. He is a formidable fighter, Sabrina's strongest, and she doesn't use him much for gym battles against the younger challengers. Like Sabrina, Alakzam sometimes wears binders to contain his psychic abilities.
—Captured on Route 6.

Ability: Magic Guard
Nature: Calm
Move Pool: Calm Mind, Encore, Focus Blast, Grass Knot, Psychic, Psyshock, Shadow Ball, Signal Beam, Substitute, Taunt

Image
Espeon [Male]Everyone has psychic power. People just don't realize it.
A gift from her father when she was ten, Sabrina did not train Eevee at first. She instead saw the Pokémon more as a pet than a creature to utilize for battles. She didn't begin to make the creature battle ready until a few years ago, before Rocket's take over of Johto. Now the Pokémon is a very powerful asset to her team. Espeon is a bit of a mama's boy, though, and he's taken up sleeping with Sabrina at night, usually curled into her side as a source of warmth.
—Received in Saffron City from Yosuke Natsume.

Ability: Synchronize
Nature: Sassy
Move Pool: Calm Mind, Hidden Power (Ground), Light Screen, Morning Sun, Psychic, Reflect, Shadow Ball, Signal Beam, Substitute, Trick

Image
Kadabra [Male]Hastiness and superficiality are the psychic diseases of the 20th century.
The second capture that Sabrina made, Kadabra is the first Pokémon the woman captured when she went on her voyage across Kanto as a girl. Unlike her more seasoned Alakazam, however, Sabrina often reserves this Pokémon for gym battles. Kadabra is a powerful fighter, but he doesn't posess the ability of his evolved companion, nor does he yet have the vision to be that powerful. Nevertheless, he often proves a challenge for people who are less seasoned than others when they come to face Sabrina for her badge.
—Captured on Route 12.

Ability: Magic Guard
Nature: Relaxed
Move Pool: Hidden Power (Fighting), Psychic, Psyshock, Shadow Ball, Substitute

Image
Venomoth [Female]What will happen after this? I already know.
Venomoth comes from the ninja school found in Janine's and Koga's gym. Trained by them at Sabrina's request, she obtained the Venomoth afterwards and began training it under her own specifications. The result is a unique combination of poison-ninja techniques and psychic discipline. Venomoth is what Sabrina likes to consider her tactical operative, in that she could throw her into any situation and the Pokémon would come out of it unscathed with a smile.
—Captured in the Kanto Safari Zone.

Ability: Tinted Lens
Nature: Brave
Move Pool: Baton Pass, Bug Buzz, Hidden Power (Fire), Psychic, Quiver Dance, Roost, Sleep Powder, Sludge Bomb, Stun Spore, Toxic Spikes

Image
Jynx [Female]Here's something to think about: How come you never see a headline like 'Psychic Wins Lottery'?
Jynx is the old, funny lady of the team. Imagine someone like Whoopi Goldberg and then merge her with Mother Theresa. In the end? You have a funny, old lady who wants nothing more to give everyone a good laugh and make sure they're happy, hale and healthy. In light of that, Jynx doesn't make the best of combatants, but she's battle-wise enough to be a threat to unseasoned gym challengers.
—Captured on the Seafoam Islands.

Ability: Forewarn
Nature: Quirky
Move Pool: Calm Mind, Grass Knot, Ice Beam, Focus Blast, Lovely Kiss, Nasty Plot, Psychic, Shadow Ball, Substitute, Taunt

Image
Gallade [Male]Masses are always breeding grounds of psychic epidemics.
Something of a newcomer in Sabrina's team, Gallade was acquired via the means of international trade. The Pokémon is rough and rowdy, and he hasn't yet fallen into his new role in Sabrina's psychic family. The woman is determined to discipline the Pokémon into the regime the rest of her team is used to, but he is proving to be a hassle. On the other hand, though, he is quite the capable fighter, he just isn't ready to work with Sabrina yet. Sabrina chalks it up to him being displaced to suddenly from whomever was his Trainer before her.
—Received from the Global Terminal.

Ability: Justified
Nature: Bold
Move Pool: Bulk Up, Close Combat, Drain Punch, Ice Punch, Night Slash, Shadow Sneak, Substitute, Swords Dance, Taunt, Zen Headbutt

We promised each other... so it's no surprise. wrote:Standing slender and lean, Sabrina checks in at five feet and six inches tall. Her body is trim and thin, her skin pale. Sabrina's hair has always been a dark shade, though it has changed over the years through various dyes and exposure to psychic powers. What began as natural black hair slowly faded into a purple. She typically styles it long and sleek, though for a few years she cut it and styled it much more "hip", she has since gone back to her older, tried and true, method. Her eyes, while naturally black with purple flecks, have long since faded over the years and gone red due to her exposure to her psychic powers.

Sabrina's appearance has changed over the years, varying from a number of different outfits that reflected her current place in life. Her first outfit was the one that she wore during her time traveling the Kanto region. Consisting of green tunic with black leggings and white gloves and shoes, Sabrina often carried a whip with her in this get up. After this she donned a red, militant style jacket and knee-high black boots when she began to lead the Saffron Gym. She also dyed her hair green at this point. (It's worth noting that she also did work for Team Rocket at this point, adopting appropriate attire for her jobs for them as well.)

After losing her chilling demeanor and her ties to Rocket (along with the horrid red jacket), Sabrina fell into her most common attire: a deep maroon-magenta dress-like attire with black leggings and black and gold accents. She also let the green dye grow out, only to find that her exposure to psychic powers had altered her hair color to a faint purple sheen. It is this outfit that is her most common get up, though she did later adopt much more revealing clothing as she aged: white jeans and a pink tank top. She also cut her hair at some point and made a failed attempt to dye it back to black (which ended up a slate-gray over the now-natural purple). The end result? She typically defaults to mixing and matching between her maroon-magenta attire and her new hipper wardrobe, but she sticks to keeping her hair long.

The last thing of note of Sabrina's appearance is her green and black bracers. They are devices meant to store and bind her psychic abilities when she does not need them in full. The latches on them are psychically activated, so she can remove them merely by thinking about it, but she often keeps them on as a form of mental training.

The ability to love is some kind of psychic ability... wrote:Sabrina has had many a different demeanor through the times. Like all, she was born, met her challenges, matured and learned from her experiences. It is needless to say that all of her personality was defined by her trails as a Trainer. A constant through the years? She has always had a calm (borderline chilling) attitude, keyed to the fact that she has since youth trained to be a psychic. Though her attitude varied from serious to downright vicious to others, she has matured beyond that and is much more laid back now.

When she was young, her attitude towards others was condescending, especially if they were failures at their occupations. After the defeat of Rocket and after Sabrina left the organization as a whole, she mellowed out. She finally settled into her current demeanor, one of serious when need be, calm when not, and a wry sense of humor.

I have had psychic powers since I was a child. It started when a spoon I carelessly tossed aside: bent. wrote:Born and raised in Saffron City, Sabrina knew from a young age that she was  a psychic, inheriting the ability from her father. Trained by her parents and various other tutors, she grew obsessed with developing her powers. She became less and less capable of showing real emotion. She captured an Abra around the time of youth and when she was ten she spent a few years traveling the Kanto region. She returned home at twelve, having joined Team Rocket (who accepted her into their ranks given her power) and having harnessed her abilities for destruction.

Closing out her real emotions, this caused a psychological rift. She transformed her mother into a doll and drove her father off. She also defeated the leader of the local fighting dojo, taking control of the Gym Leadership of Saffron. The emotions she tried to shut off developed into a separate personality: a young girl who manifested as a puppet around Sabrina. Sabrina's mind was divided into the cold, callous woman with a thirst for power and the little girl who just wanted to have fun.

Sabrina became the leader of the Saffron Gym, and turned it into an institute where fellow psychics could develop their powers. She also worked with Team Rocket until she was about seventeen, aiding them with their operations up until the point that Giovanni's command collapsed. Shortly after she was challenged by a trainer who's Haunter broke the spell of power upon her, freeing her mother and Sabrina's closed off emotions.

Afterwards, Sabrina spent the next coming years preparing to battle the oncoming of a prophecy that seemed to be tied to the growing disorder in the weather of the world around her. She has since matured into a well-rounded young woman with nothing to hold back in seeking her goals.

I will show you my psychic powers! wrote:Supernatural Abilities_________________________________
└-Psychic, aura or astral abilities.

Extrasensory Perception: Sabrina has the gift of foresight, though she, as other clairvoyants, respects that not all she sees may come to pass. She does not see everything about the future either. She doesn't know what she is going to eat for dinner next week, for example. The remainder of Sabrina's ESP lies in her ability to perceive events and incoming attacks a split second before they happen.

├─Classification: Psychic
├─Category: Precognition
└─Power Level: Master

Psychic Barrier: A typical skill for most Psychics, Sabrina is capable of creating barriers that stop forces or objects from getting close to her. At most, she can project a dome some ten to twenty feet around her at all directions. The longer she holds the barrier up, the more strain it puts on her. It is capable of withholding pretty much anything.

├─Classification: Psychic
├─Category: Psychic Projection
└─Power Level: Master

Telekinesis: Sabrina's most developed school of psychic ability, telekinesis is her strong suit. She has been able to manipulate objects to a great degree and is able to perform even delicate tasks such as writing with what she manipulates. This is limited to objects up to fifty times her weight, though anything beyond three times her weight requires extra concentration.

├─Classification: Psychic
├─Category: Telekinesis
└─Power Level: Grandmaster

Telepathy: Like most psychics, this was the easiest ability to develop, allowing her to talk to others via her mind. This only works with those who have not shielded their minds against the voices of others'. She can also read one's memories should she focus on them more. Sabrina does not do this to a person without their permission or unless they are evil by nature. (NPC only or PC if given permission by the other player.)

├─Classification: Psychic
├─Category: Telepathy
└─Power Level: Master

Teleportation: The same ability as a Pokémon. Sabrina spent all her life studying psychic power and honing her abilities. She can teleport to any known area to her (a place she has been) within a couple thousand miles.

├─Classification: Psychic
├─Category: Teleportation
└─Power Level: Master

Transmutation: Sabrina is capable of limited transmutation of objects. She can force things to adopt the form of an object very similar to it (as a book to a scroll or a cup to a goblet) and the object will stay that way until reversed.

├─Classification: Psychic
├─Category: Telekinesis
└─Power Level: Expert

Elemental Abilities____________________________________
└-Powers from a Psychic Plate.

Psychic Adept: The holder of a Psychic Plate experiences a different realization of powers and skills upon receiving their Plate, and do not gain elemental abilities in the same fashion as other elemental Plate users. Instead, all psychic styles and attacks that they possess take on the Psychic element. The Psychic Plate also redoubles the user's inborn psychic powers, acting as a buffer. It is for this reason that most of those chosen by Psychic Plates were psychics to begin with.

├─Classification: Elemental
├─Category: Misc.
└─Power Level: Inherent

Unique Abilities_______________________________________
└-Powers unique to the character.

Illusion of a Dollhouse: Sabrina is capable of "turning" humans into dolls. In actuality, given that turning living beings into inanimate objects is scientifically impossible, she is capable of suggesting that she really has. In truth, it's all an illusion she's created in their minds, a very strong suggestion that it has happened, when it reality, it hasn't. (NPC only or PC if given permission by the other player.)

├─Classification: Psychic
├─Category: Mental Projection, Mind Control
└─Power Level: Grandmaster

Was the future I saw... wrong? wrote:Miles away, past the mountains dividing Johto from Kanto, the signal of the call transmitted to the complex many knew as Saffron Gym. Tucked in the corner of Sabrina's personal chambers, the screen  that served its purpose for video phone calls sprang to life. It light up, a faint purple with the animation of an old telephone that practically jumped back and forth, the phone bouncing up and down on the cradle.

"Ring, ring, ring! Ring, ring, ring! Phone call, phone call! Ring, ring, ring! Ring, ring, ring! Phone call, phone call!"

From where she sat meditating, the piercing lit of the overly cheerful phone voice was most annoying. Sabrina clenched her eyes tighter shut and waited a minute or so. It was probably some telemarketer or something of the sort. Someone trying to offer to sell the famous Gym Leader of Saffron something to improve her gym or her abilities. Most of the time, they gave up after a good thirty seconds.

"Ring, ring, ring! Ring, ring, ring! Phone call, phone call! Ring, ring, ring! Ring, ring, ring! Phone call, phone call! Ring, ring, ring! Ring, ring, ring! Phone call, phone call! Ring, ring, ring! Ring, ring, ring! Phone call, phone call!"

Sighing, Sabrina forced the muscles in her body to relax as they tensed up due to annoyment. Still, even the most well trained Psychic had trouble with that kind of background noise. The most she normally put up with was the sounds of humans and nature outside her rooms. And the ringing was not stopping this time around.

Opening her eyes to glare at the screen, she focused her powers in an instant, causing the phone hanging in the cradle on the side of her video phone to lift out of its holster. It floated for a moment, before Sabrina sent it rocketing into the wall with a painfully loud clatter. Thankfully the phone wasn't broken, but, well, it was mostly imbedded in the wall.

Granting, "answering" the phone did allow the screen to accept the call and display the other party on the other side. She glared only for a moment or two before the man on the other end logged in her memory. Standing and walking closer to the screen.

It had been awhile since he had called her, and even longer sine they had seen each other in general. In fact, Sabrina was half sure it had been before she'd grown into what the press liked to call "a young, up and coming woman." That being said, she had adopted a much more causal garb as of late and had adopted much more modern hair styles. She rose an eyebrow at him as she sat down. And then it occurred to her that the phone might have trouble picking up her end's audio... so she switched the microphone to the screen's instead of the handheld's. Given that the handheld was in the wall, it was the wise option.

"It's been awhile, Chris. You don't call often."
