Charizard [Male]: Charizard joined Green as a Charmander, given to him by his grandfather, the celebrated 'Pokémon Professor' Hakase Ookido Yukinari - or Professor Oak to others. Through its time as a Charmander and its subsequent evolutions, Charizard has been a stalwart and fiery force to be reckoned with. Under Green's tutelage, what is normally a fairly ornery Pokémon has shaped up into a controllable force of nature. Like the other members of Green's team, Charizard has developed a deep and abiding respect for its trainer who serves as both strict master and caring friend. Like the other Pokémon Green trains, Charizard benefits from an enhanced strength and resiliency uncommon even to other Charizards.
—Starter Pokémon from Professor Oak.
Image
Golduck [Male]: Golduck is a fairly agile and tactical Pokémon that Green has personally trained since capturing, nurturing the dual-type's Psychic powers for use in the field and also to serve as his main water-type when the need arises. Golduck's prodigious psychic talent makes it useful for holding telepathic communications between trainers, and 'astral' spying as Green can link his mind with the Golduck's and see what it sees. Outside of combat and espionage, Golduck serves Green as his main method of aquatic travel, riding on the back of the water-dwelling Pokémon as though a surfboard. In the same vein as its companions, Golduck has come to respect Green's strict nature after seeing the results of its compliance, knowing Green means to show them how to be the best that they can, and to think outside of the box that other trainers simply can't seem to see past.
—Captured in battle.
Image
Scizor [Male]: Scizor was Green's very first Pokémon at the age of six, given to him as a Scyther during his training with Chuck. As expected of spending so much time with Green, Scizor is constantly pushing the limits of what its species and type are capable of. Scizor is an extremely agile and evasive combatant despite being of the fairly weighty Steel-type, oftentimes simply dodging most direct attacks against it altogether regardless of the enemy's accuracy and training. Scizor's extreme capabilities are attributed both to Green's rising talent as a trainer, and having undergone the same martial arts regimen that Green did, both as students under Cianwood Gym's Chuck. It is worth noting that despite being a Scizor, Green's Scizor can uniquely fly under its own power.
—Obtained from Chuck.
Image
Machamp [Male]: Originally a Machoke, this Pokémon was part of Green's team that had gotten itself switched with Red's. Due to the accidental trade, the highly trained Machoke grew even more powerful as it evolved into a Machamp. Machamp serves Green as both strength-trainer and sparring partner, the two constantly pushing their physical limits the most amongst Green's team of Pokémon allies and friends. Like all Pokémon with Green, Machamp is a bit on the serious side most of the time, and accepts Green as its trainer respectfully given the determination and willpower he displays. Amongst Machamps, known as the Superpower Pokémon, this Machamp is extraordinarily physically powerful... able to even handle Red's Snorlax with its vastly prodigious weight more than eleven years past - who knows the heights it has attained since?
—Captured in battle.
Image
Pidgeot [Male]: One of Green's constant companions, and his choice of aerial transportation. Presumably beginning its life as one of Green's teammates as a Pidgeotto, this Pidgeot serves as speedy overhead mount and messenger, its immensely powerful wings and intense speed pledged to the good of its trainer. In combat, it is a fierce and predatory opponent utilizing intense speed in all of its attacks. In the field, a wide-range recon and rescue agent reporting back to Green directly.
—Obtained early on as a Pidgeotto.
Image
Umbreon [Male]: Green obtained a rare Eevee shortly after the grand battle between Rocket-dan's combined Legendary Bird Trio and the Original Holders, one that had not yet been experimented upon. From what Green could surmise, the small Pokémon had been a backup, in case something had gone permanently wrong with the Eevee that Red ended up with. Thankful for being freed, the Eevee joined Green, and underwent its training with the new and far more preferable company it had gained. At some point during their travels and adventures during a full moon, Eevee evolved into Umbreon, aiding Green with the very skills its trainer had drilled into it.
—Rescued from Rocket-dan.

Porygon2: Porygon2 was originally a Celadon Game Corner prize that Green won; a Porygon that immediately refused to listen to him. Running away from its new trainer, it caused the crash between Green and his rival Red - resulting in a switch of their Pokémon teams. Over time however, Porygon came to respect Green and became a regular technical part of his team. Porygon and later Porygon2, due to being digital entities are incapable of Green's physical training but has instead been trained in the usage of its cyberspace abilities for tactical purposes. Porygon2 is a unique case for Green these days, as he does not carry Porygon2's Poké Ball with him. Instead, the electronic Pokémon resides solely in Green's Pokédex, called on as digital assistant, hacker, and its versatile tactical usage outside of Pokémon battles. Porygon2 holds the special ability of being able to transfer itself between the Pokedexes of the Holders - a measure of Green's protective watchfulness and connection to his adventuring companions.
—Obtained from the Celadon Game Corner.

Rhyperior [Male]: Rhyperior was part of a group of rampaging Pokémon over a decade past, that had to be thwarted by a passing Green. At the time it had been a Rhydon, working with an Arcanine, Alakazam, and Exeeggutor to cause a havoc that no local trainers were able to deal with. It was with such ease that Green's Scizor brought all four low in an effortless battle, allowing for the Pokémon Leader to capture each and add them to his roster. Rhydon quickly relented from its previous rampaging fury under Green's tutelage, wanting to gain the kind of strength that had bested it so one-sidedly. It quickly dedicated itself to its training, falling in line with the rest of Green's Pokémon and adopting Green's serious, stoic demeanor and immense focus on self-improvement. Rhydon finally evolved into a Rhyperior after a trade with Silver, sharing its wealth of adventuring and combat experience with the less-traveled trainer before being traded back to Green for good. It now serves Green as an immense tank, with a powerful body and devastating arm-cannons.
—Obtained at Viridian City
Image
Sage [Male Alakazam]: An alpha-specimen of Alakazam, one of potentially the two strongest alive. It was captured fully-evolved, rampaging around and through Viridian City with several other wild Pokémon before Green stopped it cold with Scizor's effortless skill and power. At the time, Sage seemed content to be part of the team, and trained to an extent that it felt it could rest on its laurels, its enthusiasm and life-devotion to the training waning noticeably. Until a fateful encounter in the same Viridian Gym it had been about to destroy, the same that Green would come to take over later on, changed everything. Sage lost horrifically to an unknown monster of a Pokémon, wielding so much psychic might that the incredibly well-trained and powerful Alakazam was rendered pathetic and helpless in an instant before being ruthlessly broken and cast aside. This chance encounter with Mewtwo lit a different kind of fire under Sage, who now exclusively demanded training in expanding its psychic strength, to the exclusion of all else, even the fine control it had once been so proud of. Sage continues to rack up worryingly frequent and greater feats of psionic power as it strives to overtake the impossible goal that is the god of psions.
—Obtained at Viridian City
Image
Arcanine [Male]: Another extraordinary Pokémon trained by Green, this was one of four Pokémon that were defeated by Green's Scizor and then subsequently captured with relative ease. Quickly coming to the understanding that it would not be such easy prey under the Leader's tutelage, it did not resent Green for its defeat or capture, and has since been as diligent in its training as Green is in training it. While not normally part of Green's team, it does however serve as Green's mode of land transportation when he needs to get somewhere in a hurry, as all Arcanine are amongst the fastest and most durable land Pokémon in the world, one trained by Green is certainly no exception.
—Captured in Kanto.

.... wrote:Green is a specimen of considerable physical study and honing. Training in martial arts from a young age, and always keeping in shape in his journeys as a Pokémon Trainer have paid off: Green's a heartthrob wherever he goes. His hair stands at a roguish series of spikes, seeming to shift between a peaceful tan-brown color to a vivid orange depending on the light. His eyes are a bright and supernatural green color, with the piercing quality of one who is the master of himself and has seen much in a short time. It is from those brilliant green eyes which he derives the only name he will answer to.

He tends to change his style more often than his friend and rival, Red - though is most commonly seen 'in the field' wearing a simple black shirt and violet cargo pants. Depending on the mood or need, he might also be seen wearing a ratty old cloak or a belted suit of training weights. For casual wear one might see Green in the streets wearing a black jacket with white fleece lining, a simple white shirt, and light pants. It's not exactly known where Green actually keeps his pokeballs, only safe to say that they are not in plain sight. He is almost never seen without his locket, the contents of which are unknown.

.... wrote:If there was ever a trainer more devoted to the concept of 'skill', their name would be Ookido Green - the display of his drive and focus. Through the years, he has worn several hats... the cold loner, the fiery rival, the lonesome hero, the proud competitor, the stalwart gym leader, and even the quick-witted researcher. Green now seems content to spend his time honing what he has learned from his adventures, especially the particular lesson that the world of Pokémon is not so far removed that the trainer could allow themselves to be weaker than their Pokémon.

Due to his more stoic passions, Green can come off as almost unnervingly serious and anti-social, despite how far from the truth this misconception strays. In recent years, he attempts to be more personal with those around him, though the frequent lapses into the personality he carefully cultured over the years of his childhood and teens might make it fairly easy to see it's new ground for the Oak heir. However strict he might be with himself, Green cuts one of the more mature figures between the group of adventuring associates he's crossed paths with over the years as he tries to redefine just what a friend means to himself.

.... wrote:His early past is a self-created mystery, something he rarely feels any particular reason to discuss with friend or foe. Born younger sibling to Ookido Nanami, the siblings lost their parents to a car accident early on... shaping the beginnings of each person's burgeoning personality. Custodianship of the two children was taken over by Ookido Yukinari, their grandfather and former star Pokémon Trainer - facilitating a move to Pallet Town. At some point during his youth Green left Kanto to study martial arts under Chuck, the gym leader of Cianwood, where he fostered a growing appreciation of the benefits of that esoteric regimen.

At the age of 11, just before his rival-to-be Red, Green began his journey as a Pokémon Trainer. A visit to his grandfather, the acquisition of the old man's Charmander and the first Pokédex and he was on his way to greatness. Charmander and Scyther in tow, Green began battling consistently, capturing and cataloging as he went. Of course, this slowed him down somewhat as his Pokémon were pitted against every wild Pokémon he could find to make them stronger, the somewhat callous and arrogant youth keeping his eye out for one in particular, said at that time to be the rarest of them all.

It just so happened that that is how he first encountered Red. By chance, Green had come across it... one of the ever-elusive Phantom Pokémon, the mythological Mew. The battle was entirely one-sided, Mew effortlessly evading and turning aside his Charmander's attacks like a playful child. It did lead to the meeting of destiny... the two Pokédex Holders crossing paths many times through their adventures through the years. Each clash, each battle, each meeting and exchanging of words helping one another grow into the men they are today. Red remains Green's begrudging idea of a friend, and their win-loss record is a secret known only to the two rivals who continue to spur each other on. Green has developed into something of a protective figure through the trials of the Holders, his expansive resources and resourcefulness putting him only a notification away from showing up to lend his aid in times of need, or to impart his ever-growing knowledge and wisdom. Before becoming a Gym Leader himself, and subsequently stepping down from the position, Green obtained a rather large number of badges from gyms across the lands, a quiet testament to his worth as a trainer even whilst growing up.

.... wrote:Lacking either the ability or knowledge of any internal supernatural powers that most of the other Holders seem to possess, Green instead chose to intensely hone his physical abilities and his mental acumen. During his training, he began to emerge as a photo-reflexive, greatly accelerating his combat capabilities, learning potential, and more. During this new period of understanding, Green realized that the better he became, the more he could apply to the training of his Pokémon, to increase their own abilities and combat strengths.

Regular Abilities______________________________________
└-Skills, professions, knowledge and talents.

Enhanced Perception (Reflexes): As human beings, the senses normally pick up many things that are filtered as unimportant before reaching the conscious mind. Low-level sounds, extremely small movements, motions in the dark, tremors on the ground, and air pressure/currents on the skin. Through a great deal of training, this is no longer the case for Green, and as such he possesses a nearly superhuman reaction time in comparison to other human beings and even most Fighting Pokémon, renowned for this ability.

└─Power Level: Expert

Shundo: Also known by the names shundo or "instant movement", it is an ability that allows Green to cover distances up to fifty feet in a direct line from where he is facing in an instant. He can actually pass through space occupied by another person or creature without either being physically affected; only an individual specifically-trained in martial arts can react to his movement in this manner. Green has taken his application of Shundo farther, and sacrificing ten feet of his Shundo distance can make a single course correction mid-transition.

Martial Abilities______________________________________
└-Weapon specializations and fighting styles.

Kyuu-sochi ryu: A new martial art, based around the creative usage of the Shundou ability typically practiced by a few among very exclusive and focused martial arts. Created and developed by Ookido Green. Revolves around scientifically taking apart Shundou and applying it in whole or part in new forms and usages. Requires Shundou comprehension and ability at least Journeyman to learn, and Expert to develop further.

├─Category: Fighting Style
└─Power Level: Novice

^Techniques^ wrote: Kasokuki Rinban (Accelerant Turn): The user solidifies their footing and then performs the basic Shundou from a starting spin. When wielding a weapon, one can easily disarm or destroy an opponent's held weapon this way, increase their striking power from sheer momentum build-up, or parry a dangerous attack depending on the situation and the user's personal capabilities. At higher levels of mastery this technique can be incorporated into other movements, or used while moving.

├─Classification: Physical
├─Category: Attack
└─Power Level: Novice

Kasokuki Arashi (Accelerant Storm): The user steadies themselves and then explodes into a flurry of movement. By vastly throttling the distance a standard Shundou would have moved the user, they may instead make short spatial movements allowing for rapid, singular attacks that all seem to be approaching and landing at the same time. The user is, instead, moving in on the enemy, attacking, and then immediately moving to another spot only a couple feet away to attack once more up to three times, singular basic attacks only. At higher levels of mastery this technique can be used as part of other attacks, and can be used to make more attacks itself.

├─Classification: Physical
├─Category: Attack
└─Power Level: Novice

Tobihaneru (Leaping): Using Shundou as a short burst, orienting oneself upwards, the user is capable of making astounding standing jumps. Can be used for powerful vertical ascension or to launch oneself into an incredibly fast parabolic arc. Includes training for landing safely. At higher levels of mastery, the distance cleared rises and can be used while performing continuous movement.

├─Classification: Physical
├─Category: Attack
└─Power Level: Novice

Zankyo-ashi (Reverberating Rhythm): By completely negating shundou's forward-burst movement, and redirecting it into consecutive side-to-side movement, the user can create afterimages affecting creatures relying on organic visual perception, losing themselves among their visual imprints. By modulating the stuttering shundou usage through practice or strong concentration on leg movement and timing, the user can trail afterimages behind them, essentially causing the opponent to focus attacks or time defenses based on the afterimages directly behind the user and to all but lose track of the user's actual body. More effective at closer range.

├─Classification: Physical
├─Category: Attack
└─Power Level: Novice

Kuuchuu Kamisori (Sky Razor): Advanced technique, required for learning Kokuu Shundou through this style. Kamisori is performed by the user concentrating their Shundou grip and burst speed into the lower leg rather than using the entire lower body as normal. The user, while airborne, then kicks the air, releasing the tension at Shundou speeds rather than using the technique to increase ground pressure in movement. This results in a mid-air jump, or 'double jump'. If performed incorrectly, can cause large-scale muscle strain and damage. At higher levels, several more jumps can be achieved. After mastering, can be combined with other techniques.

├─Classification: Physical
├─Category: Attack
└─Power Level: Novice

Mixed Martial Arts: Green began training at a very young age under Gym Leader Chuck, and as his Photoreflexiveness grew with time he began to learn new forms of combat and training at an exponential speed. Rather than indicate a lower level of experience with multiple styles, Green has specifically spent time seeking out masters of various styles in person or from video to absorb the breadth of their knowledge into his mind and body as a basis for his own use and growth as a martial artist.

Small Arms: Green is highly proficient with all simple and martial melee weapons. More exotic weaponry is rarer to find in the hands of highly-skilled opponents, and thus he lacks the eidetic knowledge of their use in order to attain his own mastery. The sheer number of known weapons will not be listed.

Unique Abilities_______________________________________
└-Powers unique to the character.

Natural Photoreflexive: Photoreflexiveness is the pinnacle of the rare genetic trait found in those with an eidetic memory. The ability to become physically attuned to the movements of others simply by witnessing them, gaining their expertise and experience through mere moments or less depending on how comfortable one is with their trait. Be it painting a picture, becoming Lord of the Dance, a master swordsman, an excellent marksman, basketball pro, or powerful martial artist. Once seen or heard, the user is now permanently filled with the knowledge, and their body adapts to be able to perform it to the best of its ability. Training will likely be required for the body to meet the challenges presented by some. This also functions as highly accelerated learning, as the user can do whatever they wish with their new knowledge - even building upon what they've witnessed, not limited to simply mirroring what has been observed.

The limitation, of course, is provided that the user's body can actually physically perform the movements it is now educated in doing. Witnessing someone running at extreme speeds does not make them just as speedy... nor does witnessing someone juggle cinderblocks mean that they can even lift one. While this means a Photoreflexive person may not be able to mimic a quadraped's combat movement, for example, they will memorize it and if reasonably skilled - might draw inspiration using it as a basis.

As a little known fact, this also extends to audal perceptions as well, giving the user the ability to perfectly mimic sounds and voices to the best of their physical capability. Due to the nature of this ability, the harder a user concentrates the sharper their observational abilities and reflexes become, their environment seeming to slow down around them drastically based on how tight their concentration focuses.

.... wrote: "This will do for now. Alright, let's stop and have something to eat." He produced six pokeballs from within his clothing and held between each finger, releasing the Pokémon contained within each with an elegant pass of his hands. His signature team split up, moving off into the forest to do a little foraging. This was one of the tenants of Green's training... living off the land when possible, for even procuring food should be at times an unexpected test of mettle.

True to those words, now and then the faint sounds of Pokémon combat touched his ears as he shed his backpack, shirt, and pants to reveal a skin-tight training suit underneath his outfit. Green reached up, dropping the zipper down to his waist to leave his torso bared as he stepped into the pool of cold water at the base of the waterfall. Meditating under the waterfall was something he found a bit hokey and an event he just didn't have time for if he was to keep to his schedule. Splashing himself in the cold water to cool down, he kicked over a large rock and seated himself upon it with an unchanging face. His Pokémon would return soon, now it was just time to relax. Green's verdant eyes observed the ripples of the pool around him until they slowly evened out, proof that he had achieved stillness of form.

Green took that time to achieve stillness of mind, tuning out personal considerations and just letting his consciousness fade into the background of nature around him with deep and even breathing techniques. Bare chest rising and falling slowly, the young man passively noted the members of his team returning to the small clearing one by one - setting about divvying up the haul. Green opened his brilliant eyes and stood, moving through the pool of cold water to join them; taking his stillness with him. Lunch was a quick affair, and he decided upon pairs to begin their training in the clearing as he re-dressed himself and looked back up the small mountain. "I'm going ahead. No slacking." He tended to speak simply to the six assembled Pokémon before him, no need for more with their routine so finely drilled into them. His footfalls took him forward onto the path, and he produced a seventh Poké Ball which was promptly emptied of its Arcanine occupant.

A quick look between the two and Green leapt up onto its back with a light landing, settling onto the thick fur of the tiger-striped large canine. "About halfway up, along the path." He indicated also with a wave of his hand where they needed to go, and Arcanine had all but already taken off. The extremely fast Pokémon bounded from path to rock to outcropping seamlessly, its incredible legs tearing up the path when it wasn't leaping along shortcuts only it could properly utilize until finally the pair were just a short distance from Green's original destination. Sending Arcanine back, Green strode forward towards the building, a short and airy dojo-styled overhang above a wide and shallow pit where a number of Pokémon trainers had gathered and were using standard fitness equipment alongside their Pokémon. In the center of the area, sparring battles were being held between trained Pokémon and their trainers alike.

His eyes scanned those assembled before finally alighting on just what he was looking for, a grizzly-looking man with a Hitmonchan bearing a strong appearance. He approached the two waiting by the ringside, and gave an inclination of his head which was returned politely. "Up for a spar?" He asked coolly, the large man quirking an eyebrow at the thin young man who'd just requested a battle. Giving assent, the two dropped their gear and took their positions in the trainer-battle ring. Hitmonchan followed suit, coming to stop before its trainer and taking a stance with its boxing glove-like hands until it became apparent that Green was not going to call out any Pokémon of his own. "What's the meaning of this, anyway?" the man called out to Green who merely gave a half-smile and a short response. "It would be inexcusable to me if I let my Pokémon train harder than I did. I'm challenging your Hitmonchan directly, and then you." That quiet declaration brought nearby battles to a standstill and attention to the three figures in the ring. Just what Green wanted, it seemed... that meant he wouldn't have to explain himself again later when he finished with this pair and challenged everyone else in the sparring club one-by-one.

Today was such a good day for a warm-up, after all.
