Turbine [Male Zebstrika]: Turbine has been with Vince since the man was a small child. Turbine was a gift from his parents, and was bred knowing the move Double Kick. Turbine has a very brave and bold personality, and is very quick to act. Vince finds it difficult to avoid using Turbine, especially against beginning trainers. Turbine does not care to be kept in his Poké Ball, and often stays out to stand beside his trainer and watch.
Image
Livewire [Female Electivire]: The slowest of Vince's Pokémon—and that's saying something. Livewire takes things at her own pace, often getting a burst of speed when it counts the most. Though she's not as speedy as the other Pokémon, she packs a powerful punch. Livewire is the mother to Vince's Elekid, Sparkplug.
Image
Blitz [Male Sawsbuck]: Not the fastest, but not the slowest: Blitz is a relatively balanced Pokémon in means of speed. But he has ways of boosting his agility, and Vince used that to his advantage. Blitz is saved for when a challenger wises up and uses a Ground-type Pokémon, or when someone used a Flying or Ice-type. Vince orders Blitz to use Camouflage, utilizing the steel terrain of his gym to take on a new type: one few expect from a Gras-type Pokémon. Blitz is brave and bold, much like Turbine, and the buck even looks up to the zebra for guidance.
Image
Talon [Male Blaziken]: Vince jumped through a lot of hoops to get Talon, and he's glad that he did. Talon is potentially one of the fastest on his team due to his ability alone. Talon tends to favor alternating between Flame Charge and Bulldoze, keeping himself in the lead. Talon is an extremely proud and competitive Pokémon, and cannot stand to lose.
Image
Rampage [Male Tauros]: Rampage is another Pokémon used for those in between challenges. This Tauros was a hard find, much like Talon, and Vince was quick to utilize this ability to its best. Rampage goes too far without even trying, often leaving Vince apologizing to his challengers. He's easy to anger, and hard to let go of a grudge. Rampage pursues his opponent until one of them is left in the dust.

Chisato [Female Pikachu]: Chisato is a true sweetheart. She's not the bravest of battlers, but gives it her best. What she lacks in power, she makes up for in speed. But even in the arena, she's considerate to a fault. If she thinks she's hurt her opponent, she'll rush over and check if they're okay. Vince hasn't even bothered to break her of this habit: he thinks it's adorable, and a trait worth keeping.
Image
Sparkplug [Male Elekid]: Sparkplug is an active Pokémon. He's always eager to prove himself in battle. Most of the time, he doesn't even bother waiting for Vince to give an order: he just rushes right in to things without much or any thought. Despite Vince's efforts, the man has not been able to break the Pokémon of this habit.
Image
Darling [Female Deerling]: His "darling sweet Darling," he calls her. This little fawn is surprisingly fierce in battle, but otherwise a complete sweetheart. She likes to roam around the gym, but she's chewed some wires in the past and has left Vince a little leery. Vince uses a similar tactic as he does with Blitz in terms of a field advantage.
Image
Harmony [Female Tympole]: She's strong, but not so strong to be considered Advanced. Harmony is used for those battles that are just in between the two difficulties. Harmony is a kind Pokémon, but understands that battles are serious business. Vince has to question his own sanity at using a Water-type Pokémon in a gym that literally sparks electricity. Harmony is used against trainers that bring a Fire-type in anticipation for one of his Grass or Ice-types. Vince sometimes keeps her out for company while he's waiting for another challenger.
Image
Treble [Voltorb]: Another strong-but-not-too-strong Pokémon; Treble, like Harmony, is used for those battles that are just right in between difficulties. Treble is a speed demon: rolling all over the arena and blasting its opponents as it passes them. Treble can become temporarily immune to Ground-type moves, and Vince uses that to his advantage. And if all else fails, Treble comes with a failsafe: Selfdestruct.

Vince is quite the unique man, although he easily fits in with the trainers of Orre. He's gangling in stature, standing six-foot even and weighing in at 120lbs. His skin is pale, as if it's never been touched by sun; his eyes are an electrifying shade of blue. His hair is probably his most unique quality: a gravity-defying mess of lightning-shaped blonde spikes, and a ponytail that matches and goes to his waist in length.

Outfit-wise, he's nothing too extreme. For starters, he wears an electric blue vest with alternating clasps in the front; one of his badges is worn as a sort of choker. Vince also wears a pair of snug pants, complete with a long belt-like strap that holds all of his Poké Balls. His stomach and arms are completely exposed. He has black rubber gloves that are cut off at the knuckles, and steel bracers painted two shades of blue. He has an electric blue hair tie and matching headphones, and for some reason he wears white socks around his gym. He only puts on boots when leaving the building, and even they are an alarming shade of bright blue.

Vince is an energetic man: always eager to do something, always on the move. It's near impossible for him to hold still. Even when battling a challenger, he at least twitches his fingers during the length of the fight. No one's really sure if this is just how he is, or if he's got a short circuit.

Vince likes to enjoy himself, and tends to make sure others are having a good time. In fact, part of the reason he wears socks around his gym is so that he can slide across the floor. The other part is that he just doesn't like wearing shoes.

He always has to be doing something, which is why he installed an arcade in the back of his gym. Vince has this strange fascination with fast Pokémon, and tends to favor the Electric type. He has a tendency to talk rapidly, stumbling over his words or jumbling them together. Though he wears a lot of blue, he insists that green is his favorite color.

Vince has a naturally protective and caring nature. Due to his childhood in Pyrite, he has a strong disdain of thieves and bullies. He will not tolerate such acts in his gym, going as far to throw a challenger out because of behavior.

Vince was born and raised in Pyrite City, although his parents were from Unova. Vince and Turbine got a lot of odd stares from the other kids, and some of the older trainers even tried to steal the Blitzle from him. Because of this, Vince grew up to despise thieves and bullies.

Vince grew up with three older sisters and one younger one. He always ended up being the target of their beauty sessions, but despite this he genuinely cared for his sisters' safety. When his elder sisters left to make lives of their own, Vince took it upon himself to protect her from the bullies of Pyrite City.

During his teen years, Vince took to exploring the regions. He wanted to learn about all the different kinds of Pokémon, especially the Electric ones. He spent one year training at Watson's gym in Hoenn, and spent a decent amount of time fawning over Volkner from Sinnoh. When he returned home, Vince focused on strengthening Turbine, and frequented the stadium.

Vince took a year from his training to explore his native country: Unova. He was overjoyed to not have to worry about Turbine standing out too much. He tempted taking on the Pokémon League Challenge, but decided against it. When his year was up, he went on a sort of catching spree so that he could build an actual team of Pokémon and not just rely on Turbine for everything.

When he returned to Orre, Vince was quite surprised to be asked to fill the role of Gym Leader in Pyrite. Taking a page from Volkner's book, Vince didn't restrict himself to a single type like most gyms. Instead, his roster focused on speed over anything else. He now waits eagerly in his gym, playing arcade games until the next challenger enters the building.

Finally! His first challenger! Vince could barely believe he was even a Gym Leader, let alone fighting his first challenger! But this trainer was just beginning, so he had to take things down a notch. He'd frown at first, then shrug and send out his first Pokémon: his darling Deerling, Darling.

The summer-coated fawn cried her name, getting into a battle stance and glaring at the opposing trainer. The trainer hesitated, not sure what to think of this cute little deer glaring at her. But once she found her footing, she sent out her Pokémon: a Sneasel.

Vince couldn't help but grin. This was going to be fun. "Darling my deer," he called out with a chuckle—extending his hand dramatically as he instructed his Pokémon. "Start this battle off with a Sunny Day!"

The fawn called out her name, and a bright light coated the arena. The challenger ordered her Pokémon to attack, but with the weather in this state? Little Darling was far too quick to be hit. Yes, Vince was definitely going to like being a Gym Leader.
