Okaloosa Island Guide

At the very end of the Seafoam journey and the Intercoastal Highway that connects the islands is Island Eight, known as Okaloosa Island, is a lonely little spit of land that contains nothing but the Island Eight Gym. One cannot even find a Pokémon Center on this island. It's recommended that you heal up at Island Seven's Pokémon Center and carry plenty of supplies before setting out for this island. Seafoam's military also conducts weapons test and evaluations on clearly-marked test ranges on this island.

Welcome to Okaloosa Island, the last stop at the end of the world. At the very end of the Seafoam journey and the Intercoastal Highway that connects the islands is Island Eight, a lonely little spit of land that contains nothing but the Island Eight Gym. One cannot even find a Pokémon Center on this island. It is recommended that you heal up at Island Seven's Pokémon Center and carry plenty of supplies before setting out for this island. Seafoam's military also conducts weapons test and evaluations on clearly-marked test ranges on this island.

Locations In Area

Intercoastal Highway
One of the common methods to travel from island to island in the Republic of Seafoam is to use the Intercoastal Highway, a United States-style interstate system that connects all eight islands. It is not merely limited to those with automobile transportation; the entire length of the highway also has adjoining roads built for foot and bicycle traffic.

Okaloosa Forest
A forest of thick, lush wildlife that borders the base and developed areas of the island.

The Gym can be found immediately upon arrival from Island Seven. Compared to the other Gyms of the League and their sometimes-extravagant themes, Island Eight's Gym is rather simple. Yumiko is the Gym Leader here, and she favors Flying types. Trainers who defeat her will receive the Wing Badge.

Weapons Test Evaluations Ranges
The rest of the undeveloped area of Island Eight is reserved for more weapons ranges that can be accessed at any time of the day for testing. As weapons testing is not conducted on the weekends, trainers can apply for licenses at Giltella Air Force Base to enter the range to catch and train Pokémon. During the week, only authorized military personnel are allowed to enter the ranges, but trainers can observe the weapons tests from the Island Eight Gym.
