Welcome to Heahea City, a town that always welcomes visitors. Heahea City is a coastal city situated on Akala Island of the Alola region. The township was founded long ago by trainers from the Kanto and Johto regions. Considered the "front door" to Akala Island, this town's residents treasure visitors and welcome them most warmly.

Locations In Town

Akala Ferry Terminal
The Akala Ferry Terminal is located on the west side of the city. Trainers and citizens alike can use this terminal to traverse between Heahea City and Hau'oli City, Aether Paradise, Malie City, and Seafolk Village. Because of its role as a commercial and tourist hub, Melemele Ferry Terminal is often exceptionally busy. Vending machines can be found here filled with useful snacks and drinks for trainers and Pokémon.

Dimensional Research Lab
The Dimensional Research Lab is, as the name implies, a research lab in the center of Heahea City. They chiefly research the space-time continuum and the effects it has on Alola. It is ministered by Professor Burnet, the wife of Professor Kukui. Most of her research specializes in the relationship between Pokémon and other dimensions. It is open to the public.

Image Tide Song Hotel
The Tide Song Hotel is a large hotel located in the north of the city. It is one of two grand hotels on Akala Island. It is open to the public, though this is mostly for the convenience of tourists and will likely have little benefit for trainers. Rooms can be booked here for a reasonable price, and the staff here are renowned for their impeccable manners and customer service.

Locations Around Town

Image Hano Beach
Hano Beach is a location on Akala Island in Alola, located east of Hano Grand Resort. It is the beach nearest Hano Grand Hotel at the Hano Grand Resort. Pyukumuku-chucking is a popular part-time job to do here. Small but active, this beach is often overcrowded due to guests flooding in from the nearby resort. Despite that, the beach is maintained to a high standard and almost always looks picturesque. It also features a number of wild Pokémon that can't be found elsewhere.

The biggest of all the resorts in the Alola region, the hotel is fully booked a year in advance. Considered one of the best resorts in the entire Alola region, the five-star accommodation is often a talking point for the local populace, enthralled tourists and devout Pokémon bloggers and trainers everywhere.

Image Route 4
Route 4 is a route on Alola's Akala Island, connecting Heahea City and Paniola Town. A curvaceous route with several grassy lowlands, the route also sports a small lake. The route is known for its idyllic photography hotspots, as well as for relaxing with friends and Pokémon. It is a relatively short route to the next town, but Route 4 is often a welcome break from the norm and bustling city life.
