Hau'oli City Guide

Hau'oli City is a large commercial based city of Melemele Island. Here many resources can be found for quality of life and entertainment. Many stores sell various fashions of clothing, stores for tourists, and even a large mall stationed at the top left section of the city. The city also serves as the Island's travel hub, providing a large pier and transportation to the other islands as well as other regions. At the same time, city ordinance maintains many areas that are hospitable to wild Pokémon in order to help preserve what nature and habitats they have destroyed with zoning.

Battle Buffet
The Battle Buffet is located in the center of the mall's upper level. It offers a unique dining experience for trainers to eat and battle at the same time by paying a lump sum. Despite the buffets huge popularity, trainers can only visit it once per day. The more battles a trainer can contend with, the better value for their meal.

Despite the low level of crime there, Ilima also moonlights and helps with occasional cases at the Hau'oli Police Station.

Ilima's House
Ilima lives in Hau'oli City. Ilima does a lot of work with the local Trainers' School, as well as outreach work from his own home. He has been known to give away items to young trainers to help with their journey if they visit him here. There is a good chance that Ilima will also battle you if you knock upon his door in the dead of night.

Malasada Shop
The city's malasada shop is located in the Shopping District, on the way to the Marina. It is famous for its malasadas, which are crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Traditionally, the malasada comes in two different sizes, and though usually made for humans, they are a wonderful treat for all manner of Pokémon.

Mall & Shopping District
The mall is located east of the Pokémon Center. Two of the more interesting spots here include the Apparel Shop and the Salon, both of which offer a variety of different options for trainers and citizens alike. The highly sought after clothing line known as Gracidea is sold here in its store as mentioned above. A lovely shop by the name of Antiquities of the Ages sells, as one would hope, antiques. An important attraction to note here is the government-funded awareness campaign here that teaches children of the dangers of wild Bewear. Hau'oli City also hosts an open area downtown shopping districts with fenced in patches of grass for wild Pokémon to reside in.
