Santalune City Guide

Welcome to Santalune City, a traditional city. Many beginning Trainers gather in this friendly city to start a Pokémon journey. Santalune City is a city located in the Kalos region. It is the hometown of the first Gym Leader, Viola. The Trainers' School is located west of the Gym.

Santalune Gym
Santalune Gym is the official Gym of Santalune City and the first Gym the player character challenges in Kalos. It is based on Bug-type Pokémon. The Gym Leader is Viola. The first room contains multiple frames of Pokémon, the room below, accessed via rope, is a giant spider web, trainers are on platforms. Lastly, Viola is on a wooden area, after defeating her, one of the frames in the first room opens, which is an exit.

Route 4 / Parterre Way
Route 4 is a route in central Kalos, connecting Santalune City and Lumiose City. The route is also known as Parterre Way. This famed path's perfectly designed and executed gardens are its highlight and a special point of pride.
Route 22 / Détourner Way
This lively path bustles with many Trainers and their Pokémon, all gathered here to train themselves. Route 22 is a route in southern Kalos, connecting Santalune City and Victory Road. The route is also known as Détourner Way. North of the route, a race track can partially be seen.
