The most important feature of Route 117 is the Pokémon Daycare facility, located to the eastern side of the route.

Route 117 is a short east-west route in central Hoenn. It sits between Verdanturf Town and Mauville City. This route is the only area in Hoenn where Illumise and Volbeat can be caught.
