Image The Hoenn region boasts many dramatic environments, from rainforests to deserts. However, its most striking feature is its abundance of water. There are several large islands off the mainland only accessible via water routes, many of which are suitable for diving because they are so deep.

    Lilycove City is one of the sixteen cities of Hoenn. Lilycove is located southeast of Fortree, near the sea. The western entrance to the town is Route 121, leading to Mt. Pyre and the Safari Zone. It is the port city of Hoenn, housing many of the ships made in the shipyards in Slateport.

    Sootopolis City is located inside a crater formed by a volcano. To get around the city, people have to climb many flights of stairs and dive into the sea.     Pokémon Trainers come here to battle the Elite Four of Hoenn after earning eight Gym Badges. With its cliffs, it is impossible to reach the city itself without possessing a Pokémon able to scale the high waterfall on the southern end of the town. Hoenn's Victory Road bisects the island.
